I've had occasion to use this company several times at home and my office. I've also referred them numerous times. Excellent service at a fair price each time.

How many plumbers/plumber helpers does it take to fix a leaky faucet? Two men arrived timely on the date scheduled, Friday 2/09/18. My issue was that the kitchen faucet had a leak that I believed was at the cold water side and the bathtub had a leak at the hot water side. After disassembling the kitchen faucet and the bathtub faucet, they disappeared for over an hour to find/purchase “parts” - came back and advised me that the part for the kitchen faucet had to be ordered and after some discussion I decided that I would consider buying a new faucet and rescheduling for installation. Both men went into the bathroom to work on the hot water leak. Unbeknownst to me and without prior consultation, I learned later upon looking at the invoice that the work to fix a minor leak included replacing the ceramic stems - not only in the side that had the leak - the hot side, but they also replaced the stems on the diverter and the cold water side; where there had not been any problem Additionally, they took it upon themselves, again without consulting me, to replace all three tub handles. I note here that they were in constant phone communication with their boss Joe and both appeared to have limited knowledge and experience -more like plumbers helpers/trainees than certified licensed plumbers. Later that afternoon I took a really good look at the Invoice and I was disturbed by the charges $411.57 to fix one leak. Definitely not reasonably priced in my opinion!!! Spoke with the office manager, Tina, on Monday afternoon 2/12 and she said that the $250.00 was labor expense for the two workers. ($125 each) and in NJ labor is taxed, which was the $16.57. Also, according to the office manager all three handles and stems had to be replaced as a unit. I found this to be highly questionable. I called and spoke with the office manager again on 2/23/18 and she advised that the parts were all purchased at Barton Supply in Cherry Hill. I went to Barton Supply on 2/23/18 because I had a nagging feeling that something wasn't right; and asked the customer service person if they had Gerber faucet parts in stock. He replied yes and asked what the problem was. I told him that the bathtub faucet had a leak on the hot water side. He went to get a part and returned with just one Gerber ceramic stem and showed that I would just have to remove the handle and the old stem and replace it with the new one and the leak should be fixed. I asked him if I needed to replace the stems in the cold water or shower diverter handle; and he said no- only the one that had the leak. I also asked if I needed to replace the handles and he advised- no I did not. By the way, each item can be purchased separately, ( not as a unit as I was told by the office manager) and only what was malfunctioning needed to be replaced. So from this experience - in my opinion excess parts were replaced (totaling $145.00) without consultation with the owner which of course generated additional labor cost, which in all likelihood were not necessary thereby inflating the cost to me, the consumer. Do I feel like I’ve been fleeced –Yes. Would I recommend Sheehan – No, and I would never use them again.
