Positives: Called for service and they sent a technician right away!

Negatives: Tech changed the water spout in my bathtub because the diverter wasn't working. But he did not line up the spout with the back plate and it looks very unsightly (see attached pic).

Additionally, I told the tech that my toilet kept making wooshing sounds periodically and that I had recent replaced the flapper and also the floater.

He said the problem seems to be the lever and tried to bend the existing lever but said it'll probably be cheaper to replace the whole toilet for which he can do for $700 & change if he supplies the toilet or $350 if I get the toilet.

He takes off to local plumbing supply place and returns promptly with cheap universal lever and the tub spout. After struggling installing the toilet lever said that's best he can do.. I'll have to hold the lever to flush. (Which remains in open position and I'm forced to have to wait to tap it close otherwise he keeps running!),

Went to his truck, wrote me a bill for $180.

The toilet lever gets stuck in the down position and every time I take a shower.. I'm reminded of how unprofessional the spout looks with the back plate just hanging there.

Oh yeah.. He needed to turn off the water to toilet from under the vanity while we was working. He left the vanity a mess (never put back the items he pulled out to work) and so much water on the inside of the vanity. So sloppy!

The diverter runs about $20 and the universal toilet tank lever runs under $10 at home depot. I paid $180 for this service call and a $20 tip. Yes, I am stupid.

I waited a couple of weeks to call the main office (wanted to give myself some time to cool off) and left a message with the call center. "Joe" calls me up immediately and without knowing what I was calling for was rude and impatient. "...What do you want? I'm driving!..."

I wasn't going to post this review but after that exchange..

Poor service, poor customer support and I can't believe the owner would allow Joe to deal with the public. I would definitely NOT recommend this business.

P.S.

Next day, Louie (identified hisself as a manager) patiently listened to my grievances and said he'll look into it. Later in the evening, the tech called and justified his sloppy work by saying I should have just replaced the toilet. Then started arguing the prices he quoted me.

Poor service, unjustified prices and rude after sales customer support.

Hope this helps someone when they are trying to decide what plumber to let into their home.

Have used Speedy twice and can only talk highly of them! They made sure to come over ASAP and fix the problem, without trying to sell any additional services. Both times the plumber was very friendly and took the time to explain everything. Can definitely recommend!!!

Speedy Sewer has always been responsive often within the hour late nights. A few months ago I had to use my home warranty ompany plumber that couldn't find the problem - Speedy came out removed the toilet and fixed the clog with no problem. Definitely recommend

Main sewer line blocked on Easter Sunday. Called Speedy and response was immediate. Technician arrived within the hour and was very friendly and careful. Turned out pseg placed a utility pole into the sewer line a week ago. Since pseg is also contracting Speedy no validation needed from their side. Would use Speedy definitely in the future.

Speedy has helped us with plumbing issues in our 100 year old home many times and just did a great job replacing our sewer line. They are always friendly, courteous, and get the job done well.

Great work. Thank you so much. I had an old school trap in my basement that was clogged and the pipe leading to it was busted. They were able to remove the trap, install a new pipe (all while working in a tight space because of my huge oil tank), and they even cleaned up beautifully after themselves. Their team does good work. They image with accurate cameras, diagnose the problem and suggest a solution. They also know local plumbing hookups typical of each town they work in. They make every effort to keep the work tidy and on schedule though certain projects are quite intensive and dust will result. Perhaps you might find a better price with another plumber though you risk subpar work that could give you problems down the road.

Had a problem with our sewer line. Camera inspection found that we had two sections of our sewer line that were "bellied" causing us to have to snake the line every 2-3 months. I had a few contractors come, but Louis said, "I have a plan" and explained it all. A few weeks later, the crew came and installed a new sewer line all the way to my curb as well as install a sewer pit so I could still have a basement toilet and shower. They re-routed my sump pump line as well. They all worked VERY hard, but were never rushed. 100% professional all the way and they earn every single penny. I hope no one every has sewer issues, but if you do...Speedy Sewer and Drain is your go-to with no reservation. Everything is working great!! I'm very thankful for a business owner and team that CARED through the entire job.

We found ourselves in a plumbing emergency on a Saturday a few weeks ago. I called and left a message with the answering service and we were in the middle of frantically trying to call others when they returned our call (in less than an hour) and said someone would be able to come out that afternoon. They arrived within two hours (which they had estimated over the phone) and resolved the issue. We very much appreciate the timely response. During the sewer inspection, we found a few breaks in the sewer line and the sewer line was 10-15ft deep in the ground making it difficult & expensive to fix. After speaking to multiple contractors, we landed on Speedy sewer. Louis looked into our pipe and suggested lining would be good options. He explained to us the complexity of lining and challenges in our particular pipe. Louis's team - Eric did an excellent job of lining the pipe.  Both were extremely professional and are experts in their field. Glad I hired them to do the job.

We can HIGHLY RECOMMEND Speedy! We had an unknown issue and other plumbing companies(3) wouldn't even take on the job at a reasonable cost. Louie , the owner, came to look at it, gave us a fair price and had tons of expertise so we knew we were in the right hands. They were professional and we were VERY pleased with the work.We were new to town and came to find out that all our neighbors use them. We had a troublesome kitchen sink drain, my plumber was unavailable so he recommended Speedy, I called about an hour later Antonio arrived and proceeded to clear the drain testing it several times! Very professional and personable! Great job!

Had to replace a water pipe. Louie and team were amazing - very quick, great price. Great service and customer service. We were under a tight deadline and they lived up their name - incredibly Speedy! Highly highly recommend.

I called this plumbing company five different times to schedule a visit for my project. Each time, they promised to come, and I waited for them — but they never showed up even once. No calls, no updates, nothing. Totally unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. If reliability and honesty matter to you, look elsewhere.

Was on the receiving end of their sewer inspection. Super unprofessional. First rule of thumb with an inspection is the system must be left as you found it. Despite having multiple options to access my sewer line main, they opted to chisel out my cast iron plug. Without a simple phone call to ask permission. Then the icing, they replaced the original cast iron plug with a rubber stopper. When confronting them over this, they showed no remorse for this unprofessional behavior. They were surprised I was angry at them making repairs I did not approve of. Two stars only because they made a token effort to make this right. However, the fact these guys actively seeked the riskiest entry point (imagine if the whole fitting cracked due to chiseling), while ignoring the significantly easier points of entry, and then utilizing the absolute cheapest repair method... Says a lot about the pride these guys have in their work. There are much better plumbers in the area.

Update: While trying to upgrade the stopper to something better, turns out they didn't want to clean all of the old fitting out. Thankfully, this seals right now. However, for sure not airtight since no amount of squeezing that rubber is going make the rubber seal against old fragments. And since those fragments are just that, eventually this won't even be a liquid tight seal. Again, the owner came out for his token repair bit. A decent plumber would have saw the same thing I saw. At the very least, he should have seen that and corrected it while he was in it. It's one thing to be cheap/lazy. It's another to be completely incompetent. One star because any repair would have required time spent on completely removing the old bits of the cast iron plug to make sure the rubber has a consistent surface to seal against.

Long story short, Speedy was excellent and they'll be my new go-to for plumbing and sewer.

I woke up this morning to the sewer backing up in the basement at our washer and dryer. After reading a few reviews and scoping out businesses in my area, I called Speedy. They got someone out within 4 hours. He showed up, immediately diagnosed the problem (clogged house trap), and explained how our 90yo system works and how I can do it myself next time for this particular problem.
