Thank you Chris and team for your awesome work. We had a pipe clog under our basement floor that essentially needed to be rebuilt. Chris came over immediately (he always makes himself available) and talked us through his recommendations. Instead of pulling up our floor he was able to rebuild the pipe above ground which we preferred. He did a great job -fast, efficient and easy to work with. He also installed a slop sink for us and has been so responsive when it needed some natural tweaking. Highly recommend for dependable work and realistic advice. Thanks Chris!!!

Owner Chris and his assistant Josh were very professional and kept me informed throughout the repair of my kitchen pipe . They took care of a major grease stoppage and worked very hard and long until the problem was resolved. They worked with me and were reasonable with the price and cleaned up after the job. I would recommend to friends and family.

Josh did a great job replacing our water heater on short notice after our previous unit failed in dramatic fashion! Owner Chris communicated every step of the way and Josh stayed late until the work was done and left a very neat installation. Thank you!

Ever since we’ve moved into the neighborhood, Chris and Josh have been our go-to for our plumbing needs issues. We’ve used them for replacing/re-routing pipes, hot water boiler maintenance and repair, and most recently, our hot water heater replacement.

They’re quick, efficient, and honest. They’re always willing to help or connect you to the right professional if something’s out of their scope.

We desperately seeking a plumber after we fired the last plumber for incorrect installation of a shower faucet that leaked water inside the walls to the first floor and ruining our plaster ceiling and walls of the dining room 2 weeks before thanksgiving. Chris and Josh promptly showed up and replaced the entire faucet with new.
Chris let us know from the start everything he was going to do, the mess it would create, and the fixes after the plumbing repair.
We couldn't be happier with his service. That was October 2024.
Since then we re-did our bathroom, using Stamp to uninstall and re-install the toilet and fixtures, replace a clogged sink drain, snake the drains to the mainline, replace a faulty valve, and earlier today install standpipe for our washing machine which was previously plumbed directly into the sewer line, which had no vent and no trap. Mmmm methane...

Chris is always professional, honest and charges a reasonable fee. I know he backs up his work but have never needed to call him for it. Fix it once and forget.

Excellence in plumbing and the best customer service. Christopher Stamp truly cares about delivering quality plumbing services and it shows. Stamp and his team came to service our very old (hanging by a thread) boilers and when it looked like one was almost toast with a potential crack, Chris took the time to inspect the issue (on his hands and knees) and thankfully it was just a piece broken off inside. We had a dishwasher leak later that day (unrelated) and he came right back the next day and fixed that too. The best part is I asked if by any chance he could repair the pedal on my stationary exercise bike and he fixed that as well! What a guy! And his apprentice Josh was very professional and helpful too. Also the prices were very reasonable Thanks so much Stamp Plumbing!!!

Hire this company if you want your house to go on fire.

We hired this company to come out and perform routine maintenance on our steam boiler. This boiler is <10 years old and was in perfect working condition as well as our thermostat.

The first minor issue we encountered is that Chris Stamp and his assistant arrived to our home 3 hours after they were supposed to arrive. I assumed they were busy so I decided to give them some slack.

After an hour or so of the two men banging things in the basement, they came upstairs to ensure the heat would turn on. As they turned up our thermostat, a red glow and smoke fumes soon emitted from the thermostat. Chris Stamp's assistant began immediately yelling to turn off the power since the thermostat wires appeared to be on fire. Chris however, did not seem enthused and simply stated "its ok its low voltage." As I write this review I will admit I am not a licensed electrician but it does not seem normal nor safe to have a fire in the wall since it is only "low voltage."

After a while of fussing with the thermostat and ripping it off our wall in the process, Chris decided he would just change the thermostat. Chris did not know how to install a simple thermostat and had to phone a friend for this simple endeavor. This seemed strange for a plumber who does HVAC...But okay the saga continues... Of course, this did not solve the problem as our boiler still was not turning on at this point.

At this point, Chris and his assistant began yelling at each other and could not figure out what to do. As the mystery fire and electrical issue ensue, Chris decided this is no longer his problem to solve and we need to just contact an electrician for the problem he created. Chris then happily demanded $340 dollars for boiler maintenance. I asked Chris how are you going to charge me for "cleaning a boiler" when all you did was break the boiler and start a fire in the wall? Chris then told me he did me a favor by "installing a thermostat" which he did not know how to install lol.

Chris and his assistant then happily departed with their check in hand as we are left with a recent fire in the wall and no heat.

We then hired a competent plumber who diagnosed this issue immediately. The wires in our pressure valve box shorted due to moisture which shorted the rest of the unit, likely due to incorrect servicing of the boiler by the previous plumber. At this point, the LWCOV, pressure valve, and other wires needed to be replaced entirely. This resulted in an unfortunate bill of $1000 to fix the previous inept "plumbers."

All in all, I seriously doubt Stamp Plumbing and Heating are even a real company, let alone licensed professionals. The reviews on here have to be largely fake. I urge you to steer clear of these scam artists as the only heat you'll have is from the fire they started in your home instead of a functioning boiler.

We called for an estimate on a repair to our shower, and Chris was able to get to us the next morning, on a Sunday which was very helpful. While discussing the fix, he offered to get it done same-day for a reasonable price, and it was done about three hours later, including time to gather materials and pick up his apprentice. Quality of the work seems good so far, and the team was great to deal with. Highly recommend for a plumber in the Bloomfield area.

Editing to add - we had a secondary problem pop up after Chris fixed the first one (Not his fault at all, to be clear) and he came over almost immediately on a Sunday to try and get it fixed up for us, and still charged a really fair price. Absolutely can't recommend Stamp Plumbing enough - they're great.

Chris and Josh were amazing in replacing my hot water tank, and it wasn't an easy job. Chris will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with the job! Thanks so much guys!

Chris is a very legitimate plumber. He was instrumental in helping me convert from oil to gas heat. He also assisted me with getting a new chimney liner. He completely removed the old oil boiler and replaced it with a new more efficient gas boiler. He insulated the pipes and made sure everything was in working order. He quickly responds to calls or text messages. The price he charged was very reasonable. I highly recommend Chris. If you have any concerns please inbox me.

I had great experience with Chris and Stamp Plumbing and Heating. Chris was very responsive to my concerns about my Dad’s boiler. Chris came by quickly. Checked every thing out and got everything running properly. He even came back a little later in the day to ensure the boiler was running properly. While he was there he did notice that the water heater was leaking. He turned off the valves to the water heater to avoid any issues with flooding the basement. 2 days later he was back to replace the water heater which was done efficiently and professionally. Would highly recommend
