Appliance Repair reviews in Carlstadt, New Jersey

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Home Service Network has been frustrating enough to warrant it. From the beginning, communication was poor and unprofessional. I had to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates on the service appointment, and when the technician finally showed up, they seemed rushed, inattentive and very rude. No wonder why they have received two stars review so far.
Despite multiple attempts to contact Samsung and clearly explain the situation, no escalation has taken place. This lack of responsiveness raises concerns about the level of customer support provided. It leads me to question the value of purchasing Samsung products if adequate service and support are not ensured.
Worse, the issue I originally contacted them about was not fully resolved, and I’ve since been trying to reach someone from their team to fix the problem. Calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and I’ve been left completely in the dark. It’s unacceptable for any company, especially one in the home services industry, to treat customers this way.
If you’re looking for reliable service and responsive support, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This company clearly doesn’t prioritize its customers once they’ve collected your payment. -
I was hoping not to leave a bad review out of sheer desperation of needing my refrigerator repaired but unfortunately they *No Showed*, after continuing to confirm and repeat my appointment time and window of 12pm to 6pm with live representatives. Noone called to let me know they were NOT coming nor to reschedule. I would NOT recommend or want to use this company in the future. Very disappointing that samsung has this company in their line up as certified repair company.

Worst service ever!! They came out to fix a minor issue on my Samsung dishwasher but broke it completely in the process. They also keep rescheduling me for weeks, stay away from this service provider.
-
Very disappointing experience.
Poor communication, unprofessional handling of the service request, and a complete waste of time. I was asked to provide multiple photos and details, only to be delayed with no clear solution or follow-up.
Customer service was unhelpful and gave generic responses without addressing the real issue.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. There are far better appliance repair services out there. -
I have a Samsung refrigerator that went caput and this is the company Samsung directed my service request to. I don’t know why I thought this was the only company in my area that could take care of things, or I would’ve looked up other options because I would’ve seen the atrocious reviews that are here. These are reviews that are well deserved. when I called to make an appointment they told me that soonest was six weeks out so I booked it. I had to buy another fridge in the meantime to survive until then. I tried calling them four times the day before the appointment to ask them a question about the repair and each time I called I was on hold for 10 minutes at which point the call just automatically disconnected. There’s no way to leave a voicemail. There’s no way to send a message. I received a confirmation email and text from them saying they were coming. The day comes they never show. No phone call no text no email nothing. When I call them the next day to ask them what happened, I have to go through the same thing again with the calling nonstop and disconnecting, until finally somebody picks up the phone. The woman who answered the phone sounds like I’m annoying her just merely by calling. When I talk to her about the no-show she said she would have to speak to someone in scheduling and they would call me. Hours pass by I never hear from them so I called back. I’m pretty sure I heard her suck her teeth on the phone when I announced it was me again. Then I speak to somebody in scheduling who has no idea what I’m talking about. So I get us on the schedule for later in the week miraculously, I was afraid I’d have to wait another six weeks. They call me the day before to say that they need a different part and a different technician so they won’t be able to send somebody for another week. I’m desperate so I agree to it. I get a confirmation from them saying that the service person is coming by between 10 and two. This is what we had arranged the week before. When they no showed originally my husband had lost a whole day of work. He doesn’t get paid on salary, he gets paid by the hour and he lost a lot of money that day. So I made sure that this appointment would be during the time that would still allow him to go to his night shift. after the confirmation that the time was 10 to 2, I get another text saying that they’re changing the time from 12 to 6, which is way too late for us. I called them, and once again go through the whole rigmarole of trying to get through. This time I do get through again on the third try. I make it very clear that we cannot do later than the 10 to 2 timeslot because my husband leaves for work at 3 PM. They said OK they will change it back. So here we are today is the day. 10 comes nobody shows up by 2 o’clock there’s still a no-show. At 3:15 I receive a phone call from the technician asking if we’re ready for him to come by. I literally laughed at him on the phone. I do not understand how this company still exists. I don’t know why Samsung works with them. This is, singularly, the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
I cannot stress enough: do not use this company ever. I’ll be reaching out to Samsung about this and any other company or organization that might be able to do something about the fact that these people should actually not be allowed to conduct business.
Avoid at all costs. -
This place should be shut down. RUDE, condescending, purposely hangs up the calls after waiting on hold for 45 minutes to an hour. To get anything done you have to call multiple timed with hang ups 4 to 5 times before getting someone. Be prepared to spend the entire day with this. For me it rook 2 days and 15 calls. They keep giving you the run around. Zero stars if I could. This place is the biggest joke on the planet.

I wish I could leave a NEGATIVE number of stars!! This company is the absolute worst. I called Samsung to report that my 3 year old range OVEN doesn't shut off after I pushed the "off" button. IT KEEPS BAKING!!! WE had to unplug it. They sent my service ticket to this company telling me they will call me to set up an appointment. The company TEXTED me a date when they would come. ONE FULL WEEK after my ticket was created was my appointment. I tried to call to change it because I was working that day. I held on for over an hour only to be disconnected. I kept the appointment for September 9. The technician came, replaced the main board that operates the oven and replaced the display part as well. I cooked dinner that night...Shut off the oven...and it STILL STAYED ON at 400 degrees. I called Samsung that night, they couldn't help me due to the ticket from that day was not closed out. I called Samsung the next morning...2 hours later, after making THEM call this crappy company, they had reached this awful company and assured me I will get a call in 15 minutes to set ANOTHER appointment. THAT DIDNT HAPPEN. Then at 5:45 that night the service company called me...told me the fee for the service call and diagnostic is still warranteed BUT if they need to replace a part, It would cost me money. Samsung originally waived the parts fee because a stove should last more than 3 years. So This service company transferred me to Samsung to get that approval. I got that done, then the service company was CLOSED so I could not make the 2nd appointment. Samsung said that the service company would see the corrected ticket and call me tomorrow( today). I waited till 2:30 NO CALL what a surprise. I called them, managed to get thru and they said the lady who deals with my area will be back at 3 and call me IMMEDIATELY. HA ha ha...that's funny. She DID NOT. She called me tonight at 5:45, we got disconnected and SHE NEVER CALLED ME RIGHT BACK!!! What the heck??? THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL!!!!!

Purchased a Flatscreen around quarantine, had some dead pixels and was still within the warranty period. Was pleasantly surprised with how easy the appointment booking was over the phone.
The Technicians came on time, was in and out in less than an hour! The gentleman explained to me the panel replacement and the TV looked just as good as when I first purchased it.
Great service to and a happy customer! -
Samsung stove is broke after 2 n a half months. 3 weeks of attempting to get it repaired and I still have a broken stove. This company should be ashamed of themselves. Do not purchase any Samsung appliance because you will have to deal with this company and if an issue arises your screwed.

If Samsung assigned them for your warranty service, REQUEST A NEW SERVICE PROVIDER! Getting in touch with them is almost impossible. I literally had to call Samsung back (after multiple tries to contact HSN for an appointment) to have them call this place to show them how hard it is to get through. After 15 minutes on hold, Samsung gave up and reassigned me another service provider.

Update: they are now refusing to come and check my dryer again and keep hanging up my calls!
If I can leave negative stars I would! All the negative reviews on here are TRUE! Needed my dryer fixed thinking I would contact Samsung would be best I contacted them. They work with a third party company which I had no idea. I made the appointment for a week later that’s the earliest they had. The technician came and “fixed” it but it doing so messed up something else. Now my dryer is making a noise that wasn’t there before. Called home service network again and they said I would have to pay $120 again just for them to come and check. I am refusing to pay $120 again when it was there technician who messed up my dryer. They canceled my new ticket and basically said well there’s nothing else they can do. I have contacted the local news and also filing a complaint. They are unprofessional and only want to take your money. I need my dryer fixed. -
I reached out to Samsung for an out of warranty repair on a gas range. There’s a leak somewhere near the connection on the back of the range and my plumber can’t figure out where it is and suggested I contact an authorized servicer. They sent a technician to diagnose the issue who didn’t even really diagnose anything. He sprayed some soapy water on the connections, couldn’t identify where the leak was, then chalked it up to “improper installation of the line” and charged me the $120 non-refundable diagnostics fee and left. He didn’t bother opening the back panel of the machine or doing any real diagnosis. He was in an out in 10 minutes and left me with no resolution or any knowledge of the problem that I didn’t already know. This felt like a complete scam and I’m reaching out to Samsung directly to address my discontent.

Awful. Samsung sent them to do service on my washing machine. I believed it to be a pretty simple fix as it was just making a high pitch sound when the tub turned. The tech spent 5 hours down there, on the phone most of the time asking others for help in assuming. He was unable to fix any issue and actually left my washing machine non functional as he needed to “order a part”. Mind you it was working just fine, but was making a noise. Then he no showed the next date set, I had been calling their number for hours before finally i contacted Costco directly to contact Samsung (as Costco set the appt up for me through Samsung) and the tech said he was stuck in traffic and wasn’t going to make it. Service was scheduled for 12-6. This is now 5:30 pm. So then I have to now make a third appointment, and he did show up and I presumed he completed the job. But they left me for a week without a working washing machine that was working before they got to it. Now I go to run the dryer and I realize something is off, I finally see they cracked (tore) the exhaust tube from the wall. And then I look to see if there’s more damage and it was never even reconnected to the dryer. THEY WERE THERE TO WORK ON MY WASHER. Understand he likely had to move stuff but clearly they are incompetent and not only missed a step of reconnecting, they damaged my property. So they left me for a week without a washing machine and now I can’t use my dryer.

The worst service you can imagine!!!!! I warn everyone, do not let these people into your home !!!!!!on April 1st 2024 I ordered a 75 inch TV online from Best Buy , that tv has never been hung on the wall, the screen protection foil has never been removed. On June 23, a bright line appeared on TV from one side to the other. I called best buy and they redirected me to the Samsung service center to make an appointment. samsung Service changed the appointment 3 times, the reason was that at least 2 people were needed for such a large TV, that's what they told me. Finally, on Wednesday a week ago 07.10.2024 .a guy from the Samsung service center came to my house at 6 p.m.this man was alone, he went out to the apartment, he took some pictures of the TV and after 5 minutes (he was probably in a hurry to get home) he decided to take the TV with him to the Servis. I was surprised by this decision, because I had been informed earlier that the TV would be repaired at my home. How great was my surprise when this man grabbed my 3-month-old TV, without any protection or box, and started carrying it from the first floor to the car. I felt in my stomach that something bad might happen, because it was impossible that this guy would be able to safely carry my TV to the car like that. Without hesitation, I grabbed my phone and started recording it, informing him about it. he dragged my TV along the ground, stairs, and hit it many times until he finally broke the corner of the TV on the metal railing supporting the roof. the impact was so strong that the entire roof shook. I recorded this moment! then he leaned the TV against his car, placing it directly on the pavement. then he put it in a box that clearly said that it should be done by 2 People. I tried to file a complaint the same day. I have been referred from number to number for a week now, Samsung service center does not accept any responsibility for the situation. they claim that they replaced the screen and the TV is ready to give it to me. The problem is that I do not accept the acceptance of this TV which already had problems and was later broken by a Samsung service employee.

My refrigerator ice maker had an issue, so I got it fixed, but the problem came back right away. It cost $368.33 to replace this.
On top of that, they double-charged me. This service is a complete mess. -
Totally awful customer service. I got a service ticket number through Samsung (2016729502). I reached out to Home Service Network Inc to schedule diagnostic. It was scheduled. They showed up, I pay $120. I added several days later replacement of the cooktop to the ticket. They texted an appointment date since they have the parts. The day before the appointment they texted stating that they had to change the appointment date since they didn't get certain parts. It was scheduled for 7 days later. They showed up today, the technician informed me some wrong part was ordered. They will get back to me to let me know when the parts will be received to schedule service appointment. I strongly expressed my dissatisfaction. I called Home Service Network Inc, and requested to speak with a Supervisor/ Manager. Instead of transferring me to a Supervisor/ Manager, the agent transferred me to some Samsung department. This has truly been a very bad customer service experience. I am extremely dissatisfied with the experience. I had 50% of the repair fees, which amounted to around $369.00.

This is one of the most dishonest businesses I have ever dealt with.
I was repeatedly given the runaround, with constant changes in their position and a complete lack of honesty.
I strongly advise against wasting your time with this company.
The technician reversed his statements entirely and was not truthful.
This organisation is no better than Samsung; both demonstrate the same level of unethical behaviour. -
I would give a zero if it was available. I had an ice maker replaced and it worked fine for a month and a half. I called Samsung back they said it should be covered under the 90 day warranty. Hsn then called to schedule an apt and they want to charge me $160 just to come out to fix/or replace the unit they installed. I feel I am being gouged.

I was notified by a text that my service could not be handled and they closed my request. Not only do you have to pay before you can talk to them but they didn’t have the courtesy to talk to me on how to solve what they declared as a “maintenance” issue. I have as much grief with Samsung who offer nothing other than videos to address my issue.
Poor customer service, no courtesy. -
I purchased Samsung Appliances, and my fridge had a problem with dispensing water. Samsung contracted this company to do their warranty service. This company will dispatch a technician when it's convenient for them. So no weekend service or afternoon visits. Definitely not a professional company to deal with. For this reason I will also stay away from Samsung unless you are hands on. Samsung has to do better than this. GE products have their on technicians which works around your schedule. Bad customer service and bad reputation!!!

They are truly as bad as the reviews say! Samsung required me to use Home Service Network for a repair of my washing machine. On my brand new Samsung washing machine, the water is very cold on the Normal cycle even if I select the warmest setting or hot. The manual says that the water should feel like "warm bath water" (due to energy savings) but it is frigid cold. The technician said and put in his report that the washing machine was working as designed even though that directly contradicts the manual. Home Service Network has offshore customer service, and they refuse to transfer me to a manager or transfer me to the local branch manager in my area. Samsung will only go by what Home Service Network says. In short I will never buy another Samsung product let alone use Home Service Network.
