Absolutely SUPERB tree service company. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are not newcomers to using such services. We have used several over the many years that we have lived in Essex County, but hands down they provided the best service we have experienced. The firm we had used previously no longer was taking on business and we were nervous about selecting a new firm. We selected Arbor over several other candidates not just because of the excellent reviews but because they were prompt in responding, arrived when they said they would, were highly knowledgeable, and were honest with us. We had a particularly challenging tree to remove: a sixty foot pine tree in the extreme back corner of our 100' deep property with very limited access. But Arbor basically said "Trust us. We employ state-of-the-art equipment that can readily handle the job." We selected them over the other candidates for all the above reasons, even though they were not the least expensive (about middle of the road on their bid). Their operations chief spoke with us several times before the agreed-upon date to do the job, and the owner came out personally the day before to inspect our site. They arrived just when they said they would. And when they said 'state-of-the-art' they weren't doing themselves justice. The new device they used was ASTOUNDING, like something straight out of a Transformers movie. There apparently are VERY few currently being employed nationwide and it was amazing to watch it - and the operator (the owner himself) - work. I think I would have paid to watch the device work (note the photo below). But beyond this, the entire crew was extremely professional and thorough, taking care to protect the driveway where the device was erected, and doing a thorough and constant grounds clean-up. Most importantly, the end result was an exceptionally well-executed operation: no issues, no damage to anything (which I thought would be unavoidable), which is all that one could ask for. Afterwards, we peppered the owner with questions about options for planting new foliage in the tree's place. He was thorough and patient in his recommendations.

Last: we decided to take our pine tree down for safety reasons, not for the aesthetics. But afterwards, Arbor Ace's team did such a phenomenal job at the stump removal, ground leveling and grading and cleanup (actually using the stump shavings to create a new planting bed and also spreading mulch around our overall yard) that our backyard actually looks better.

Sorry for the length of this review, but in a time when finding competent and reliable service is becoming harder and harder to do - Arbor Ace really stood out for us as a truly refreshing exception to the rule, and we thought they deserved this.

Mike and his team worked on our neighbors trees this week, and we are incredibly impressed with his professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail. His team worked tirelessly to remove trees in a timely manner. Throughout the entire process, he made sure to keep our property clean. He went as far as going on our roof to blow out the gutters. Mike went above and beyond for this job, and we would recommend him to anyone. He kept us posted on what was going on all along. I wasn’t surprised when I looked up Arbor Ace on Google and found hundreds of 5 star reviews. He truly deserves it!!!

Mike is seriously amazing at what he does. You can simply hear it in his voice. He loves his work, and it shows. The man is like a human-computer when it comes to anything tree-related. It's quite remarkable.

After some extensive research online, we contacted Arbor Ace to help us fill a large void in our front yard left by an old, massive tree we had removed two years ago and after meeting Mike, hired his company for the job. Admittedly, my wife and I are VERY picky people (which can drive some people nuts, I'm sure) and we had no idea what would look good in its place. Mike made multiple trips to our home (we missed an ideal planting window so he recommended waiting for the spring to do this job properly.) Mike explained in detail not only what he thought would look good and why, but what types of trees would thrive best in NJ climates, etc. Mike then visited several nurseries for us, texted us photos of trees he'd recommend, and ultimately hand-selected a beautiful Kwanzan cherry tree for us. Mike (and his helper Nick) prepped the entire area like pros, hanging plywood anywhere debris could hit when they were excavating the hole. Then instead of just dropping the tree into the hole and filling it up with soil, Mike would explain the proper process to plant the tree, then once it was in the ground, asked me to record a video of him watering it so we'd know exactly how to care for it. He would happily answer any question I had and then some. They left our yard much cleaner than it was prior to starting the job. It was really meticulous work, and an absolute pleasure working with Arbor Ace.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about Mike and Nick I would happily give them 6 stars if I could. I would recommend Mike to anyone, and if you need an arborist, do yourself a favor and hire this man. My wife and I already discussing what he can do for us next.

I can define this company's service with three words: Impressive, Incredible, and fascinating. I got the perfect and awesome service I needed from Mike and his team in my most troubled time after Hurricane Ida. With incredible dedication and professionalism, they worked for hours without rest and did not stop until all the work was done. We got tired watching them, but they didn't even make the slightest complaint. In the end, they did an excellent and impressive job. In my opinion, Mike and his team are the best tree experts in New Jersey and they deserve all the praise and appreciation. It was a great pleasure working with them.

Mike and crew were very professional and friendly. Our tree is 200 years old and he wants to keep it healthy as much as we do. Beautiful big tree. They arrived when they said they would. I only give them 5 stars because I'm prevented from giving them 6. Our neighbor's 75k pound oak devastated our deck, yard. In two days, Arbor Ace had it out. They have the equipment to handle anything. I just can't commend the job they did enough. They care. Even something as small as filling in yard divots after the tree was out. Huge thanks. Super professional, kind people. I hope to never need them again but if I do there's no question who I call.

Mike and his crew saved my property during the most recent storm in NJ. He went ABOVE and beyond to come for an emergency tree removal.
As a first time home owner, I valued the integrity, honesty and hard work him and his crew did for me.
Not only did he come out right away in less than 15 minutes to see the damage and explain everything, but he made sure he got the crane and crew together right after another job they were doing. The weather was very dangerous and they worked hours in the pouring rain making sure myself and my property were safe.
He facetimed me and texted me updates throughout the day into the evening when they finished.
He did some much extra work for me and that is something I appreciate so much. The cleanup was amazing and spotless. Mike even took the time to come back after project and review everything with me. He was detailed and very fair in pricing.

Mike just finished working on our house and I say house because he did everything from taking down a dead tree, pruning back two trees, cleaning up the shrubs, cutting back overgrown areas, and mulching. He was so easy to work with and you can tell he truly loves what he does which makes all the difference. I would recommend Arbor Ace to anyone looking to get work done. He is so deeply knowledgeable about plants/trees and is looking out for your best interest. He came on time, stayed until the job was finished, was friendly to my curious kids, and gave us great feedback. We will be repeat customers.

Arbor Ace rocks!!! Mike and his team are knowledgeable, professional, reliable and the best around. We hired them to take down a 100+ yrs old oak tree that split in half due to the high winds we recently had around. They came with their amazing tools and worked all day Saturday and returned Monday to finish. Wow! It's all I can say! Arbor Ace is the real deal. From the beginning to the end we felt reassured and confident that the job will get done the right away. With no hesitation we would hire them any time!

A+ all the way. These gentlemen know their stuff, and I wouldn’t trust my trees with anyone else. We hired them to trim and shape two trees. They did a great job on the one in front of our home. It really has enhanced how the front of the house looks. They were even able to get a nasty plastic bag that had blown high into the branches off. The tree in our backyard is our problem child and had what we thought was one dead branch, but it is a really dense tree, so on the day of service, they found several were damaged and needed to be removed.

The gentleman who cut our trees was amazing. He was able to remove all of the dead branches and kept the integrity of the tree looking good. Now we have a healthier tree for it.

They did not charge us for the extra work (and it was a lot of extra work), for which we were extremely grateful.

The clean-up was amazing. You would never have known we had our trees cut.

Update: Our tree branch broke in the 2/28/23 storm. Mike was here the same day we called to look at it and came the next day to fix the tree. I've attached a before and after shot. You couldn't ask for a kinder and more knowledgeable owner.
