I've had a number of rugs cleaned and repaired by Rug Renovating, and can say that they do outstanding work, and are also very good to work with. That would explain why I have see n one of their employees, Tony M., so many times over the years. He, Jo and other long time associates have been wonderful and reflect the whole culture of the company.

Rug Renovating has cleaned my rugs for 25+ years. I am a loyal customer because the rugs are returned looking and feeling like new ... ALWAYS! Customer service is polite and responsive. No complaints from me.

I've been using Rug Renovating to clean our rugs for the past 12 years and they always get the job done. They can get out any stain - wine, baby formula, dog pee and puke - you name it - they're the guys to call! We had one rug delivered today, right on time, and the delivery guys were super nice and extremely helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Anyone who knows anything about Oriental (Turkish) rugs and lives on the East Coast knows about Rug Renovating. Twenty years ago when I needed an 80 year old Sarouk cleaned I called my Syrian American cousins in Brooklyn and they said, "Phil, there is only one place to go to and that is RR." It turned out that the company was in East Orange, NJ and I lived there as well! So off I went with rug in tow only to discover that they picked and up and delivered rugs for the measly fee of $10. The facility was overwhelming. Huge, industrial cleaning equipment, a well trained staff, and, of course, Jo Bernardo, an engaging and knowledgeable employee. Jo went over everything like a detective. Identifying problem areas, repair issues, and price, etc. She was the best and I have gone back there 6 times with other rugs in the last 15 years or so and ask for her by name. RR knows rugs and what to do with them. I have sent countless friends there because they always ask me about their own rugs and how and where to clean them. They all thank me profusely. I have also discovered that other companies send their rugs there for servicing. Even they trust RR.

I could not believe that my old white rug, which was spotted with stains I couldn't remove, would ever come clean. Rug Renovating did an amazing job. They picked up and delivered on time, they called us to confirm status, they were always gracious on the phone (even offering to take a photo of the rug for me when I asked how it was coming out) and the rug looks great. They were candid, in advance, about what was/wasn't possible - but the rug turned out wonderfully well. It's my second time using them and I would absolutely use them again.

As always Rug Renovation was a pleasure to do business with. The three men who came to pick up my rugs arrived early and were unfailingly pleasant, helpful, and fast. (Actually they were so fast that they overlooked one rolled up rug and had to come back for it.)
The two men who brought my rugs back were terrific and very careful and helpful. The rugs look wonderful. I did not receive a phone call in advance that the truck was on its way either time but I think I was the first stop of the day. I will use this service again. The office called me whenever there was something that needed to be discussed and agreed upon in advance. The rugs were returned on schedule.

I HIGHLY recommend Rug Renovating. Not only did they provide me service door-to-door, but they were quick and efficient. The quality is A++. I had given them a rug to clean, and they had dropped it back at my apartment the same week looking brand new. I have never had such great customer service in my life. I have used Rug Renovating for many years. They are very professional and do superb work. All the staff, from the office to the pick-up and delivery individuals, are friendly and helpful.

What a great company! They came to my house exactly when they said they would, picked up the rug and delivered it back to me on time. You almost don’t expect service like this any more. They also did a great job of cleaning a heavily pet-soiled rug that I got from an old house. And they listed each of the steps they took during the cleaning as well as giving me a rug cleaning kit at the end. I can’t recommend them highly enough!! A+

This company was such a good find. They did beautiful work cleaning and repairing our carpet. They picked-up and delivered on time, and were very professional. Our carpet looks like new although it has been in a high traffic area for 25 years.

Rug Renovating did an amazing job restoring our Heriz carpet.

Great job from pick up to delivery. Pick up/delivery men carefully moved furniture and piano off rugs in a very organized, thoughtful way giving extreme care to the contents of the rooms. Delivery went just as smoothly. Rugs were returned feeling soft and fluffy and the cat urine smell was gone!
After spending several hundred dollars with a local rug cleaner and enzyme cleaners, I could not get the odor out of these carpets. Rug Renovators were able to get the job done! I highly recommend this company!

I was pleased with the quality of cleaning, the rug repair & the pleasant& efficient rug installers.

We have had a very bad experience with this company. We had 4 rugs sent to be cleaned, including two end-capped runners which require special care and handling. After a year, we noticed the binding on the two scatter rugs was wearing out. and called to make a complaint about the quality of the work The runners looked OK but we decided to send them back too. We were charged $300 for all this including the repair job that they were supposed to have done on the bindings the first time. The original bill was north of $1200.

When the rugs were dropped off for the second time, the runners did not lie down flat and we were told that it might take "a few days" but that they would eventually lie flat. It is now over two months and the runners do NOT lie flat. They are dangerous and have caused us to trip innumerable times. I realize end-capping is a difficult job, but they should not have accepted the job in the first place if they were not going to spend the time to do it right!

We've been using Rug Renovating for probably 20 years, mostly because there don't seem to many options for rug cleaning service, and they were recommended by ABC Carpet, initially.
However, over the years, I've had to return carpets to be re-cleaned after they were returned with the same soil they went out with. This happened on 2-3 occasions.
But most recently, with rugs sent to them in August, we had a much bigger issue - a needlepoint aubusson was returned severly damaged with 7 large holes where the rug had been hung and, probably, torn down with no care. There were ~5 smaller holes, as well. While Rug Renovating took the rug back and made repairs, the repair work is obvious and RR offered no other form of compensation - such as crediting us for the cleaning - after they destroyed a rug, or even issue a sincere apology for the damage. After they picked up the rug to be repaired, we never heard another word.
I won't be doing business with them again.

I had 10 rugs cleaned at a property I manage. They did a great job. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars: when the carpets were returned the people who brought them back were not the same as the people who picked them up. They had no idea where each carpet went back to. They did not have an organized system for marking the room and the carpet. Very confusing even for me. It is difficult to see what the carpet looks like when it is rolled up. Point being, if you have a lot of carpets, make sure you photograph and work with them on a system that will get your carpets back to their proper rooms. It took a lot of time out of a super busy day.

We have been using Rug Renovating for many years. They do a phenomenal job from pick up/drop off to the service of cleaning and sprucing up the rugs. They come back looking great!
