I met Ken and knew right away I wouldn't need anyone else for my heating or cooling needs. He's professional, courteous, and genuinely cares about his customers - as you can tell, he's the owner who puts people first.

We were disappointed because we would have preferred to use a local company for heater maintenance and repair, but since we don't have many options in our area, Hackney didn't make any effort to rectify the situation. As a result, we had to look elsewhere.

They claimed to serve Trenton, but even entering the zip code and address into their scheduling system yielded no results. The next day, I was told on the phone that they don't service Trenton at all - "no one will come out" is what I was quoted verbatim. When I pointed out the discrepancy between their website and actual capabilities, the representative simply said they didn't know but checked with a supervisor who also stated they don't serve Trenton. This lack of consistency is misleading, especially for something as critical as HVAC in the middle of winter. It's left us without heat for three days now - an inconvenience that could have been avoided if we'd chosen a different company.
