Reviews of local pros in Edison, New Jersey

Poor interaction today with this company.

They showed up to my neighbor’s property. He lives on a corner, so there was plenty of parking for their three trucks. Instead of parking in front of my neighbor’s property, one of them decides that they should block my driveway instead. I immediately run out to ask them to move up a bit so that I won’t be blocked in (since I work from home and use my lunch break to run errands and my lunch break had just started). I go back inside. When I check again, they haven’t moved. So I come back out and take a photo. At this point, the guy that appears to be the owner gets mad at me for taking a photo, says that there’s no need for them to rush, etc. He even suggests that they aren’t blocking me in that much, even though it’s almost half of my driveway entrance (and I have a midsized SUV).

I would definitely not hire a company that has no consideration or respect for my neighbors. A simple sorry, we’ll move it, followed by prompt moving of their truck would have sufficed. Also, they should NEVER be parking in front of driveways EVER. If they happen to do this again, I won’t give them the courtesy of asking twice for them to move… I’ll just put in a call to the authorities and get them ticketed or towed so that they can be inconvenienced just as much as they are inconveniencing me. :-)

We used LDS to install a paving stone patio in our back yard replacing an existing deck and concrete walkway around our pool. We also had a fire pit installed. Our experience was absolutely top notch. Bill and his crew were great to work with. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The crew was exceptional. They had tremendous attention to detail not just installing the pavers but ensuring that they looked great. At the end of each day they would not just pick up tools and leave. They would additionally use blowers and a hose to wash down the area to remove the dirt and dust. All-in-all we had a truly 5 star experience with LDS. We highly recommend them.

LDS worked with us to create a landscape design using native plants and incorporating varieties based on our preference. Bill (the owner) was wonderful to work with and created a layout that matched our preferences and budget. The installers were professional and kept our property clean. I highly recommend them!

LDS has been working at our home in Middletown, NJ for 6 years doing varies jobs. It started with a natural stone walkway, to lawn care and most recently redoing our front landscaping. We are very happy with each job and continue to use LDS for our lawn care and couldn't be happier with the results.

LDS did such an incredible job cleaning up my dilapidated property. Years of neglect was no match for Bill and his team of professionals. They were so prompt, thorough and didn't leave a trace they were there other than beautiful, clean yards I had no idea were so spacious. They took great care of and tended to every single section. From weeding and mulching to the removal of two trees and more English Ivy than you can shake a stick at, I couldn't be happier with the results and I look forward to using LDS again for future projects. Finding a quality company run by confident, competent and honest people can be a daunting and intimidating task. I'm very lucky I found Bill and his staff.
Thank you so much for a fresh start!

I have used LDS several times for various landscaping projects. Bill and his crew have always done an excellent job. They do great landscape design and excellent tree and shrub selection. They are always on time and do very nice and neat work, whether they're planting, pruning, fertilizing or mulching. I highly recommend LDS!

So grateful to have found LDS! They have been doing outstanding work for us in multiple areas over the last 6 years. The aesthetic of the natural stone walkway LDS installed enhances the beauty of our back deck area; blending functionality with nature. We also could not be more thrilled with the recent landscaping done in front of our house, driveway area, as well as a beautiful fire pit project.Lastly, their ongoing lawn care keeps our grass a gorgeous emerald green. We have always been pleased with all aspects of LDS’s work, which is why we’ve consistently used them over the past 6 years - and will continue to do so!

We want to thank Landscape Design Strategies for the beautiful work. The before and after pics should speak for themselves. Thanks again!

We recently hired LDS for a landscaping job at our large family cemetery plot, which was in terrible condition and needed a total make-over that would be low maintenance, drought resistant, and visually appealing. I thought I had communicated enough details, and Bill thought he understood the design. I live out of state so there was little opportunity for in-person contact. When the work was done, we realized there had been miscommunication between us, and the last 10% of the job needed redoing. Bill and his incredible crew from LDS solved the problem in a respectful and timely way, and performed the work as we wanted. I am happy to say when things went wrong, LDS made sure my family was happy. They did an excellent job! Thank you!

I recently had LDS do some front yard hardscape and backyard landscape and I can't recommend them enough. Bill had great suggestions and the work was impeccable. I was worried about getting my front and backyard redone before my daughter's birthday party, but they promised me they would get it done and they came through and knocked it out of the park. I will absolutely be a returning customer for future projects.

We gave LDS (Bill) a “blank canvas” and he gave us an amazing new backyard. Everyone who comes over tells us it is a beautiful backyard, from the tiered hardscape, to the variety of plantings that seem to bloom from Spring to the end of Fall. Highly recommend LDS, it was a long project, but Bill’s crew was great, courteous and happy to answer any questions. Thanks LDS!

LDS services have been great. Their attention to detail shows in the results. I would recommend their services to everyone.

I recently hired Landscape Design Strategies to do some yard work at my home and I was extremely impressed with the results. The team was professional, efficient, and did a fantastic job of transforming my yard. They removed stumps, hedges and trees, and cleaned up all the debris, leaving my yard looking neat and well-maintained. I was impressed with their attention to detail and their commitment to customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company for anyone in need of yard work services. They are the BEST!!!

Bill and his team are professional and creative. He executed what we asked for and added a creative flourish here and there. We love our outside now! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend LDS. They did an excellent job building out my patio and manicuring my property. The crew worked tirelessly through the brutal August heat. And Bill was out there as well, sleeves rolled up, digging, building, sweating.

Honest, reliable, and fairly priced.

We have used Bill and the team at LDS for the last few years for lawn care, trimming shrubs and bed maintenance. They have always done a really nice job keeping everything looking neat and well-maintained. In addition, they are very professional and extremely responsive to questions. If you are looking for these types of services, I would highly recommend LDS.

We found Bill & LDS as they were the most recommended landscaping company in our town. The service from LDS is high quality from the quoting process to execution. During quoting, Bill wasn't trying to push any extra service on us and understood what we needed (yard grading). After the quote, I had to put off the project due to personal conflicts, but when the time came a few months later, Bill was extremely flexible in picking up the work again (without re quoting) and on short notice. During the project, his team was nothing but professional, were on time, and completed it quickly. I can understand why LDS was so recommended in our town and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We have used LDS for years. We have had them do the monthly mowing, spring and fall cleanup, mulching and even designing and landscaping certain areas of the yard. We also use their lawn treatment system, which our lawn loves. They have always done an outstanding job, our yard looks great after every visit, even on years where everyone has issues due to drought.
Everyone is very friendly and professional, they respond in a timely manner and are there when they say and are pretty accurate with their estimated times.
If you need a landscaping company, big or little jobs, I highly recommend LDS.

Giving a 5 star review to the fine work that Landscape Design Strategy's team did -- pruning the really overgrown shrubs in my yard in Metuchen. Carlo's team was very conscientious and took pride in their work. My yard looks fabulous. Thank you, Bill Koehler, President at Landscape Design Strategies.

We have worked with Bill and his crew for years, and have always been very happy with the results. Almost 10 years ago they totally re-landscaped our yard and put in a patio, and the result was better than we could have imagined. Since then they regularly maintain, trim, prune, and replant as needed. Bill and his foreman, Luis, are a pleasure to work with, and the whole crew is efficient. We highly recommend them!

We have had nothing but great experiences in working with LDS for our landscaping needs. Bill is attentive to needs/wants and he and his crew have always been great to work with. This is now our go-to company for landscaping needs. Highly recommended!
