Had an issue with my water heater and called Jack Frost. They had Alex come out within 30 min to diagnose the problem and recommended a new water heater. Water heater was ordered and his team installed it in the same day! The service provided was beyond my expectations! I highly recommend.

We’ve been using Jack Frost since we bought this house 4 years ago. We do the monthly member fee which. I think has saved us $$ over time as we just replaced the 3rd (out of 4) A/C condensers. Good guys, honest and true to their word. With 4 HVAC systems in this house we need priority service and between the discounts, free inspections and extended warranties I think this has worked out well for us. Tom Jr was super knowledable and on his game.
Since they are family owned and there are 3 sons who oversee and also often do the work you can count on consistency, responsiveness and good advice. Two summers ago we realized we had a leak in the attic A/C unit that resulted in the condenser backing up and water was leaking into our Den ceiling below the day before we were heading to Europe for a family vacation. The guys showed up after we left and spent 5 hours rerouting drain pipes across the attic and out side the back of the house. Our dog sitter was able to let them in and they took care of everything. Plus, since they had originally installed the unit they handled it w no charge and no fuss. 4 years in and multiple encounters later we still highly recommend. Today we replaced the 3rd condenser and then had them move the only old condenser to another hook up. It was a complex install but they handled it no problem

I wish I could Tom and his team a higher than 5 star review. His assistant Sue was professional curious and explained the process of paperwork and payment clearly. She made sure I understood how much my credit card was going to get charged when and how much. Tom is a kind and caring. He explained what he was doing and how much it would cost before he did anything in my home. I wish I could take his whole crew to Florida with me when I move in 2 weeks.

Jack Frost is nothing but a money grabbing business. They charged me to come out and diagnose the problem with my heating system, they barely bled my baseboards and then said sorry cant figure it out. I bled them further and they started working. They charged me $250 to come out and tell me I was out of luck. Oh and when they installed my boiler, they signed me up for a $32 monthly "subscription" that literally covers NOTHING!! Beware!

Based on the reviews we read of their exceptional service, we had this company come out to install HVAC and a new furnace 2 years ago. Since then we’ve had many issues with the furnace turning on. It’s brand new and shouldn’t have these complications in my opinion. The thermostat calls for heat and the furnace doesn’t fire. We hear the click downstairs by the furnace and the furnace does nothing. They claim it’s the thermostat And the wiring and that they would have to charge us a diagnostic. They also claim we did the wiring when in fact it was done by their field team. When I say “they” I mean the receptionist/owners’s wife. We’ve tried calling to remedy the issue and I’ve tried mediating amicably. The wife is very unprofessional, condescending and rude. She constantly argues with my husband and then continues to be rude and have a nasty and dismissive attitude with me when I try to understand the issue is they are having. I’m in the service industry and I don’t speak to people the way she spoke to me. We have been paying the membership they have you sign up for to warranty their work. It’s kind of funny they would do this considering we’ve been paying that stupid fee and feel like they don’t appreciate us as their customers. Well, at least she doesn’t. I have referred many people to them and to be treated this way is very disappointing. I will be seeking service elsewhere. I won’t be referring anyone to them anymore. What a waste of money on the monthly. My recommendation is don’t do it save that money for when and if an issue occurs. I hope your experience is better than ours. Husband is kind and patient but idk what his Mrs.’ Issue is towards us. Her name is Janice I think. She’s the one that usually answers. Watch out she bites. She’s awful.
See photo below of the mess Tom Sr. Left when he switched our valve. Last tech they sent fixed the wiring nicely. She claims it’s the wiring and the thermostat which has nothing to do with it. The boiler isn’t turning on and it’s new. They just don’t feel like doing it and want to charge us for something that should be covered. We’ve tried restarting it and it won’t turn on.

I called Jack Frost for my annual furnce maintenance. I have an oil burner and hot water baseboard heating. The tech Thomas Sr. was prompt and efficient. It's not easy to find a company that does this work in my area. So if you're looking for this service in western Morris County, consider Jack Frost.

The worst company I have ever dealt with! They installed a heat pump unit and air handler which never quite worked. After 4 years of issues, they came to troubleshoot it this year. They charged $4k to troubleshoot their own system, pumping it full of 4 lbs of extra refrigerant without asking, and did not even come up with a diagnosis, let alone fix the problem! I had an another company fix the problem in less than 4 hours at 1/10th the price. To make it worse, I was told that Jack Frost utilized undersized drip pans and other items that would never have passed inspection, which they did not coordinate or tell us to do. Not only did they not stand by their work or offer a path forward, they told us they did us a favor by even coming to my house when they could have been out there selling new units! Incompetent, rude, and borderline scam artists. They are not upfront with their diagnosis rate and will charge you whatever they feel like. Their only defense, which you can see through there responses to multiple reviews, is that if you don't pay for their annual maintenance plan, they're off the hook! Even if they can't find issues that stem from poor maintenance. Avoid them at all costs.

My tenant's heating unit stopped working, and they were willing to assist with getting the heating unit up and running the same day, even though I didn't have a membership with them. Thomas, the tech that went out to fix the unit was very professional and updated from the beginning to the completion of the job. Highly recommend this company.

Correcting for my personal account. **Jack Frost has failed to uphold their contract and has put my family in danger. Look how they talk to customers on Google reviews... The install was in 2023 and was riddled with water leaks and even drilled a hole in the exhaust pipe! Throughout 2024, our system was losing pressure. After speaking with and sending pictures to the manufacturer, it was identified that Jack Frost had IMPROPERLY installed the unit, as Tom Jr removed the auto feed and located it elsewhere in the piping, against the manufacturers requirement.

In February of 2025, Tom Jr. installed the auto feeder where Navien required, and this fixed our issue of losing pressure. However, it was identified the installers never included an auto release on the pressure valve and Tom Jr did not properly install piping, causing pressure build up and a significant burn risk on the pressure release valve.
We had a company check for leaks and none were found. Jack Frost isolated the HEATING side of the unit only, and it maintained pressure. The assumption is there is a leak. However, no other testing was done by the company. We had reiterated that there was no leak found.
Tom Jr. suggested Jack Frost would recipe the heating loop and explained the heat and domestic hot water are seperate, and a leak would NOT affect the hot water. However, when I called in April 2025, Jack Frost refused to estimate the job as they suggested.
In March and April, I called multiple times to have someone come because our domestic hot water would turn cold for approximately 60 seconds during every shower. They refused to come out, as our contract requires.
We are now in May, and they have refused to follow their contract. I have pictures to prove all of this.

This winter is truly testing my heating system. I was able to have a technician reach my home the same day as my call for help! The tech was professional, patient, and knowledgeable! Resolved my issues quickly. Very polite and courteous! Highly recommend!! Experined with Reverse Heat/AC Pump system. Many companies do not have experienced techs with these types of systems.

Our wall-mounted boiler and hot water storage tank had been limping along for years, barely able to keep our home in the low 60s on very cold days. We finally called Jack Frost Heating and Air Conditioning, LLC, and I’m so glad we did.

They responded quickly and sent two knowledgeable heating experts who performed a thorough system evaluation. They found that our 12-year-old boiler’s internal pump had failed and that our hot water storage tank was corroding and leaking. They clearly explained our options:

Replace the pump and tank (hard-to-find parts, but they were able to locate them)

Replace the boiler and tank with the same models

Upgrade to a newer, more efficient, and more powerful boiler with a stainless-steel hot water storage tank

We chose option #3, and they completed the entire replacement in one day.

From start to finish, the experience was professional, efficient, and stress-free. The team arrived on time, explained everything clearly, worked with great attention to detail, and treated our home with respect—keeping the area clean and testing the system thoroughly before leaving.

The new boiler and tank are working perfectly—better than I ever remember. Our home now reaches comfortable temperatures easily, and the system is noticeably more efficient.

What really stood out was their customer care. Communication was prompt and friendly, and they went above and beyond to make sure I understood how to use the new system.

I highly recommend Jack Frost Heating and Air Conditioning, LLC to anyone needing boiler installation, heating system upgrades, or repairs of any kind. It’s rare to find tradespeople who combine skill, reliability, and genuine pride in their work
