The pilot light on our boiler went out the evening of Christmas Eve and we were left with no heat. It was virtually impossible to find anyone that could come to our home without having to either wait atleast 48 hours or pay an astronomical emergency fee. We’d never used J&S previously, but they were absolute life savers. Not only did they go out of their way to accommodate us on Christmas morning, but the tech was early and informative. We really couldn’t be more thankful to them for helping us on arguably one of the busiest holidays of the year.

Highly recommend as J&S were professional from start to finish. Accommodating quickly when we called with an HVAC issue and the following week with a Plumbing issue and Steve, both times, was quick to help and rectify right away.

They took the time to explain everything, we're knowledgeable and fair! Can't recommend J&S enough!

POOR STEVE IS SO HEAVY THAT IT WAS A STRUGGLE TO CRAWL THROUGH THE HATCH TO SERVICE THE FURNACE. HE CLAIMED HE REPLACED THE FILTER ,NOT TRUE. CHARGED $205 AND DID NOTHING.
Stay away from this fraud.

We recently found out that the company which was servicing our AC was not licenced to deal with our brand. J&S is fully certified. They came to our aid right after a collapsed ceiling as a result of a AC leak which the other company couldn't diagnose and fixed the problem immediately .

J&S is my go to company for maintaining my furnaces, water heater and sump pump. They are fast and reliable. We experienced a flood 2 years ago and J&S were out the next day to examine our situation. They replaced and repaired what had been damaged and even dug a hole and added an extra sump pump. I highly recommend their service. Steve is honest and trustworthy and he along with the staff are friendly and professional. HT

I’ve been using J&S heating and cooling for a couple years now and I can’t say enough good things about them. Steve is a true professional and is extremely knowledgeable and fair. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Jen in the office is also very easy to work with when it comes to scheduling, which is very important when it comes to heating and cooling issues. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and I suggest you give them a try next time you need work done.

My initial contact with J&S was on the phone with Jennifer to discuss my broken Central Air unit. She is great. She handled the scheduling and set clear expectations with me along the way. The 30+ year old unit needed to be replaced. The team that came out did a wonderful job and cleaned up everything when they were done. I had never heard of J&S before this experience, but have already scheduled them to service my gas boiler now that the temperatures are getting cooler.

Jenn and Steve were lovely to work with! They were assigned to us from American Home Shield and I couldn’t be happier with their work. Knowledgeable, timely with their work, and just all around good folks. Would use their services again and highly recommend

J & S was absolutely amazing to work with! They were quick at responding, made sure the check in at every stage of our a/c and furnace replacement and worked around our schedule. The entire team was courteous and Jenn worked with our home warranty company to make sure they stayed on track as well!

Awesome job, Steve is thorough and really knows his stuff. He was able to stop my furnace from short cycling and fixed my zones. A problem other heating techs had missed. J&S Heating and Cooling will be my go to service company from now on.

First of all I wanna mention that my experience is similar to many people who have been serviced by j&s as it appears in their Yelp reviews. I had a working furnace that was tripping because of limited airflow, they practically forced me to change the furnace. Which, cost me $4000 and took over 2 weeks. Then the new one had a defective gas valve. Then the furnace kept tripping and stopped working even after changing the valve. I had to reopen the work order for the 3rd time. When they came they found out about the limited airflow from the dirty coil. They said they'll talk with AHS and get back to me, but what they did is they closed the request as completed. I had to call again to reopen the request. When they showed, up they tried to talk me into downgrading my filter. It was too late when I realized that the real issue was a dirty coil and/or duckt work not the furnace. Lastly, they sneakily updated the request to have a non covered item ($200 to change the air filter) this way, the request cannot be reopened without accepting these charges.

It's worth mentioning that they were trying to upsell a new AC system as well, arguing that it will be easier for them to change everything at once.
Apparently, AHS policy, allows, if not encouraging this kind of behavior. They rather cover equipment that they buy on discount and let the homeowner pay the hefty labor costs, than cover repairs.
I have spent the coldest days this winter with no heat, 2 months and $4000 later I end up with a new furnace and the original issue.

I have used J&S twice for two separate issues with my boiler and both times they were a pleasure to deal with. They respond quickly and send out knowledgeable and friendly professionals who get the job done the right way while being honest and fair. I have a 6 month old baby in my home and they were able to send someone out to repair my heat on the coldest day of the year, less than 3 hours after I called them. 100% would recommend.

This is the second time we have had J&S to our house for a hot water issue. Jenn answered my call right away and it was on a weekend too! We have had a furnace issue feeding into our indirect water heater/tank and no hot water. With two children it is hard to run a house with no hot water (wash/dishes/showers/hand washing). Steve was able to trouble shoot the issue right away and within 10 minutes of being at our house we had hot water. We had many questions and they were all answered promptly. Steve and Jenn are knowledgeable, helpful, and affordable and would highly recommend them for any issues with your furnace or water tank/heater.

Lost air in the middle of the summer Steve was upfront with me about my old unit and we put a new motor on an it’s been running great an was very reliable an reasonably priced Would definitely use them again

10/5 stars for the company. J&S fixed my boiler in record time. Steve is an honest guy who tells it like it is. If it's broken, he will fix it, but importantly if it's NOT broken he won't tell you it is and take your hard earned money!! He's my go-to from now on. Suggest others in need hire J&S!

I had Steve come out to do maintenance on my furnace and HVAC systems. He discovered a problem with the original install of the condenser outside. He fully explained the problem and made the repair. He was very honest and fair. I highly recommend them. Thanks Steve!

J&S did a great job. When they received the warranty part they were here the next day and got things up and running.
