There’s absolutely no higher level of professionalism, courtesy and competence than what you’ll experience with Born and Raised. Renovations are inherently intrusive and disruptive but this company will do ABSOLUTELY everything possible to minimize your discomfort. The owner is ultra competent and able to execute any plan and his workers are ultra skilled and possess exemplary levels of respect. I would leave ten stars if I could.

Chris and his team painted and repaired (walls, doors, ceilings, windows) our two bedroom apartment and we were blown away by the results.

This is our third major project, having done our bathroom and kitchen with the last 8 years. The contractors we used for the kitchen and bathroom were very good, we were pleased, but Born & Raised adds an entire level of detail that is remarkable.

Some of our walls, doors, and window cases had been painted over what seemed like dozens of times over the past 85 years of the building’s history. It looked bad, and I’ll be honest and say I had my doubts when Chris told me that he can make everything look a lot better.

He delivered and exceeded expectations. He even repaired things that I didn’t think were even possible to repair.

Is Born & Raised a little pricey? Yes

Will you care about the cost after you see the results? NO

Chris worked with us in 2014 to renovate our then apt and we hired him again in 2021 to renovate our new house. He has a small, mighty and meticulous team that were on time, honest, thorough and made sure the project was complete timely and to our satisfaction. He has an eye for design and a great aesthetic. He is well versed in all things electrical and has a passion for lighting which really made our house a home. He notices and cares about the details -- all of them -- I think other GCs wouldnt be bothered with. He cares deeply about his work product and his clients satisfaction. We were so lucky to be able to have had someone as trusted as Chris on our project. I would highly recommend Born and Raised Renovation to anyone who is looking for a qualified, professional team to work on their home -- they really are the best.

I was assigned Born and Raised Renovation to install my complimentary electric vehicle charger through Chevy/Qmerit. Not only was Christopher knowlegable, but he was also extremely efficient and very neat. Even with getting permits, dealing with the condo board, installation, and final inspection, the whole process only took about a week and a half. Christopher and his team are phenomenal, I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Worked with them to retrofit recessed smart lighting, move some light switches, replace our entryway light fixture. Their work was great and even completed it ahead of time, and just as importantly the service was above and beyond - quick and timely communications, arriving on time.

Unlike many area contractors, Chris was highly responsive to my questions. He is knowledgeable about EV charging station installations. I recently purchased a 2023 Subaru Solterra and was looking to install a Level 2 charging station. Subaru and several other EV manufacturers recommend QMerit-certified installers. Born & Raised Renovation is apparently one of the few serving North Jersey. Chris gave me the piece of mind that everything was done correctly.

I subsequently used Born & Raised Renovation for the replacement of my main circuit breaker and the box for the electric meter. The nature of the work required the electric utility to shut off power at the street until Chris had completed everything. Chris coordinated the timing with the utility and electrical inspector perfectly so that our power was down for only a few hours.

I found Christopher and his crew through Qmerit as I needed to install a level 2 charger for my PHEV. Not only was this installation done excellently, neatly, and efficiently, but I also had the opportunity to bring my home (built 1949) up to the 2024 electrical code and expand to 200 Amps. My home is now ready for the next decades of its life, and I feel confident that my home is safe and ready to serve my family. Thank you!!

Chris is the best! We had a great experience with born and raised when we moved into our new condo. There were paint cracks in the ceiling along the crown molding and the tape line and Chris didn’t just repair both he honestly made the whole place look ten times better. He was also happy to add random fixes like raising a light fixture, attaching a curtain rod, and changing the locks, all of which look and work great. The price was totally reasonable and Chris was super knowledgeable in helping us make the right decision for our budget. Can’t recommend highly enough!
