I was hoping to use the fireplace in my old 1920's spanish style home, but wanted to make sure it was safe for use. I called top hat on Dec 28th, scheduled an appointment for the 4th. The man who showed up was very nice. Said that the chimney and fireplace looked good, except that it needs a rain cover and damper, but I could use it. He didn't even climb a ladder to look at the top of the chimney. I thought that was odd, but assumed he knew what he was doing. Later I was going to start a fire, but the fact that he hadn't checked the top of the chimney was nagging at me, so I decided to climb up there and check it myself. Turns out it is sealed with concrete. Oops. Glad I checked, especially considering I have a new baby in the house. Of course, I'll be cancelling the $85 check I wrote.

Had the misfortune of initially hiring a much larger company. After overpaying for cleaning and waiting weeks for their repair quote, we called Carl at Top Hat Chimney. He was at our house the following morning, delightful and professional. He also completed the the repair at a full 820% less than his competitors. Top Hat earned a new loyal and satisfied customer today.

All those reviews are fake. Just look at how many HVAC compangies they reviewed with 5 stars.

Don't do business with them. They never showed up, the phone goes to voice mail and then when I finally speak to someone they hung up on me multiple times. AVOID!!
