John is a working owner. He and his team did a great job for us today. They brought down and hauled away several decent size trees and a number of bushes. And their cleanup was beyond what i expected.

I have been a home owner in Montclair for over 35 years and John is the best tree surgeon that we have ever used

a picture tells a thousand words, need i say more? 4 pine trees/stumps removed, along with several old stumps along the fence. as a bonus, John also managed to fit a fence pole cap in place for me which had been a problem since day 1. thank you for a job well done!

I had a giant ancient Maple that was getting out of hand. Branches without purpose, some rotting which I, as a layman, couldn't see. I called Z Tree Expercts because I saw them take down a difficult tree a few doors down from me. John did a great job sculpting the overgrown tree. He also advised taking too much off which I'm glad he did, because the tree looks perfect. He did all the climbing and cutting himself. I'd recommend you get his proposal for any tree work you need.

Z Tree and their crane saved me during this last storm. He worked with Arbor Ace to get my emergency tree removal done before the storm hit again with wind, hail, and rain. I had a tree thar was ready to cave down and would have done so much more damage than was already done.
Z tree and crew worked HOURS in the pouring rain to make sure that the trees that could destroy my home were removed safely.
They went above and beyond, and even introduced and talked to all my surrounding neighbors and next door neighbor to make sure everyone was safe and property was safe.
He had a huge crane to fit into my small property and carefully covered my driveway to make sure it was not damaged.
Z tree did extra work and put so much labor into making sure this emergency situation ran smoothly. They were there within an hour of me calling. I lucked out because they were just finishing a project and made sure to get the crane/crew out to me before the incoming storm hit.
They took every safety measure possible and I highly recommend them ! I am a female first time home owner and I appreciate their honesty and help so much!

John & his team were professional and reliable from the initial quote process through final execution. We had multiple large trees in a difficult location that needed to be removed and he had the right equipment and skills to safely get it done. I independently had another tree expert who confirmed what Z Tree recommended be removed was necessary. While on site John identified another large tree (100+ feet) that posed a risk to our house and he recommended we remove that as well. While not in the original plan we are glad we ultimately listened to him as the tree was rotten throughout the inside. Hopefully we don't have to take any additional trees down but if we do we would 100% use these guys again. Thank you!!!

Storm cleanup in the upstate of South Carolina from Helene in Oct of 2024. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and proficient in the removal of a 30” diameter tree laying on the roof of my house. Care of property was excellent and cleanup after completion of the job was great.

A highly professional team cut down three trees in my backyard, including a large ash tree that was half dead. John and his team did an excellent job, making the process smooth and safe, and leaving the ground extremely clean. Highly recommended—Z Tree Experts!

Z Tree Experts was amazing! Big shoutout to John who he and his team did an awesome job. When they were complete, everything was clean and in order. Thankfully, they suggested taking down a big tree in our backyard which we found was completely hollow (check out photo lol) . I’d recommend them to anyone!

We were so lucky John answered our call when an 80ft tree fell on our home. John and team showed up within the hour and spent all night making sure there was no trace of tree left. We had a cluster of trees removed from our yard, including two really large ones in a tight spot—one of which was dead and falling apart. It was a tough job, but these guys handled it perfectly.

All I can say is WOW. From the start Z Tree Experts was awesome. From getting an estimate to have if the work done. I was NEVER forced to choose them. I had other estimated and while the price was slightly higher Ethan others I chose them based on their rating and reviews. I am not sorry. It was worth every penny and more. They were punctual and worked Hard for 12 hours with little to no breaks. John and his crew worked very professional and constantly cleaning the mess along the way. John and his crew were fantastic to work with. They provided quick, professional, and affordable service. We needed a 30" ash tree removed from our backyard, which was a tight space near our deck. They carefully maneuvered around the structure and safely brought the tree down. To access the area, they temporarily removed part of our fence, and once the job was done, they reinstalled it and left everything clean and tidy. Highly recommend their services to anyone in need of tree removal.

John was such a pleasure to work with! Called him on Thursday evening about stump grinding and stressed the urgency as our fence was scheduled to be installed. John and his guys came the next day early in the afternoon and got everything done in about 30 minutes.

Not only was he time efficient, but he was thoughtful towards the surroundings as it was in between our house and the neighbors. Knowing this, he put up large boards to protect the integrity of both houses and windows that were located near the tree stump. We decided to keep the dirt to use elsewhere for construction purposes, but John leveled it to make it as clean and neat as possible. He was amazing to work with and very friendly as well.

John and Luis did an amazing job removing massive trees and trimming up others with unbelievable ease. They are such hard workers and they are an amazing team. Everything was left spotless and the trees look amazing. He ensured the neighbors were not inconvenienced with any of the work. They also made sure not only our property was spotless but also anywhere any leaves/sawdust may have fallen. If you are looking for someone who is skillful and loves what they do and also will make sure the job is done right Ztree is the only way to go. Our puppies loved to watch them work and the whole process went so easily we were amazed.

Great set of brothers. Honest trustworthy and very professional, from start to finish. We had a huge tree fall on our house in the middle of the night, due to storm, they were the first ones to respond and reacted super quick. They cleaned up after themselves and tarpped the roof as well. We were so thankful. They worked with our insurance directly and we didn't have to do a thing! Cant say enough.

When John arrived to give me an estimate, I (jokingly) told him that he had too many great reviews online to fabricate them all. He said it was because he’s on every job from start to finish, gets the job done right, and leaves the site spotless. All true. John and Kyle fulfilled all my expectations and backed up their positive Google reviews (not sure if they have any negative reviews). Great communication, before and during, on time, organized, professional, knowledgeable. They were here for about 5 hours, took down some small trees and a lot of branches, and cleaned up thoroughly. My backyard looks great. Highly recommend.
