The guy was wonderful. I hired him to set my toilet in because every time I did it, it leaked.... Well, it turned out that my toilet was cracked.. He could have charged me much more, But he gave me a break which I really appreciated!! We will be calling again and would recommend to anybody!
If I could give zero Stars by 100% would, the day after Thanksgiving a sewer pipe burst and my basement began to flood in a panic I googled plumbers didn't know what to do Roto-Rooter came up and I made a phone call the water people came out they were all very nice very accommodating they helped clean up everything and they seemed to be legitimate they help me fill out my insurance claim everything seemed to be good to go - the advised me that they needed to rip out literally my entire basement that everything was compromised and it was an absolute disaster (mind you I'm a single mother one income two children and taking care of my elderly mother) the pluber comes out the kid had no clue what he was doing and I was not confident that he was going to figure out what the issue was $400 down the drain, literally, next day the problem still persisted came out again I was going to charge me $900 I said no way in hell am I paying you $900 he made a phone call to his boss he said okay $400 let's do this they spent the entire day here nothing got done...the day after that some guy came out with a camera basically told me that my sewer pipe had cracked it imploded and I needed a brand new pipe and it was a whole goddamn mess that was going to cost me $12,000 I didn't know what to do I didn't know any better I said I guess that's what I have to do don't I ????? Did I spend $800 on a plumber who didn't do anything I now have a $12,000 sewer pipe they came out they dug everything up put in the new pipe and then I spent an entire month going back and forth in emails with a lady who was just as incompetent as the company itself, call multiple times left multiple voicemails I had two gaping holes in the front and the back of my house and nobody would respond nobody would call me back they FINALLY came out on New Year's Eve to cover the holes and the pipes are still exposed!! I finally get a hold of somebody only to be told that per the contract I signed they did advise me that the new pipes would be slightly exposed and I would have to purchase extra dirt on my end to cover them up completely if that is what I chose to do, what a crock!!! This has been the absolute biggest nightmare of my life I got swindled for sure everybody told me that they are a cash cow company and that odds are my pipe was not destroyed.. moral of the sorry .. get a second opinion, if you are a woman by yourself have a male friend calm check call somebody else don't just be by yourself don't panic get a second opinion
Finally was able to get hot water back into my home thanks to Roto Rooter
I spoke with Brian today. Though I have an extremely frustrating situation he very patiently listened and very quickly got back to me with a reasonable solution. His customer service was compassionate, professional and extremely proficient!! If you call ask for Brian!
From start to finish this was a great experience. I called around 8:30 last night and they had someone scheduled to come out the next day. Ted was super easy to work with, informative and walked through the issue with us. I'd say he was in and out in about an hour. For people searching, we had a main drain line in the crawl space that needed to be unclogged which was backing up our laundry and kitchen sink. We'll work with roto rooter again because of this experience. Thanks again!
Ooooooh Roto Roots(my name for them cause I think they're below dirt and they're a pain)....NEVER.......EVER!!! Let me start with that..I'm sure you can imagine where I'm going with this. I've heard plenty of stories of how expensive this company is. From this experience...yeah, I know about upcharges and things. The plumber and the company all have to get paid and all that BUT MAAAAAN!!! Why would they try to do a job(big job)that doesn't need to be done? Why would they QUICKLY lower the price when I mention other companies? AND why...would someone else come out and fix the actual problem for a FRACTION of what Roto-Roots estimated. Tried to charge over $7K for the wrong job. When the actual job to fix the problem was less than $500. That is quite a difference I'd say. So, YES everyone!! The stories of them being expensive is absolutely true(from this experience). Call them if you wish. Call them if you may. Handed them back their dish. This is all I have to say. (This doesn't count but the words are true...I DON'T RECOMMEND ROTO ROOTS!!!)
