The two stars earned is for the work and the workers, no real complaints there. Zero stars for the salespeople and “customer service”. Communication is spotty and confusing, a simple change from one quote to another resulted in a $600 charge on my credit card with no warning. Should you have an issue, as I did, you be given every excuse and in fact be argued with rather than listened to- they’ll just keep changing the story until to you give up. I was a repeat customer, but with the way we were treated that is certainly no longer the case, very disappointed. The work might be fine, but if there any issues you’re in for trouble- very poor communication internally and externally. They’re welcome to make their excuses, as I expect they will here, save yourself the trouble.

I signed a contract with A and H Tree service to remove 20 trees and grind down all stumps. I don't write reviews but I thought I had to in this case because I am so thankful for the job they have done so far. I finally have a yard I can enjoy!

Review:
In summary, the 20 tree removal scaled from very small trees to extra large trees. They came with about 8 trucks, cranes, etc. and got to work immediately. All very professional and actually entertaining to watch them working all day. These guys are fearless... After 2 full days, they cut all trees and and removed all trees off of my property. They arrived about a week later to finish grinding all stumps, which only took them about a day. Excellent job on the stump grinding as well.

They are also very hard workers, I didn't see anybody sitting around or relaxing all day. They want to get in and get out quickly, which is what I was looking for and they probably deal with these huge jobs on a daily basis. Awesome team!

I received about 5 other quotes and I decided to go with A and H due to the following:
1. Santiago (sales) was very educated. He helped me understand what trees I should leave and removal based on health, overgrowth, and roots ruining pool/house. He was also very quick to respond and kind/professional. Also, Maria was quick to respond from the office with setting up dates and getting the permits organized.
2. The price was among the lowest 3 company quotes I received that were all just a few hundred dollar difference. 2 other company quotes were actually more than double the cost, which is robbery!
3. They could start the job almost 2 months earlier than other companies.
4. They could do the job within 2 days total. Other companies said 1 or 2 weeks to finish.
5. Saw other reviews and they seemed to do other huge jobs so I knew they could handle my yard.
6. Included all stump grinding in quote

One thing to note from other reviews that I saw about A and H:
Depending on the size of job they are doing, you should expect some construction damage to your yard. I do have grass torn up and some tire marks in my yard but since my job was massive, I expected this. Also, the boss talked to me before starting if they could move the Crane around some parts of my yard for safety purposes and I gave them the OK. It's great the boss even asked me this. Be careful if people complain about this as I don't know what solution they want if your house is a construction site...

I was pleased with the quality of work. I have to say the workers took pride doing this job. The workers performed at a professional level at all times. The workers can master the machinery with excellence. I would highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again. They have the equipment needed for big jobs.

The team was very courteous and efficient! It was a smaller tree but with a thick mature trunk, very near to a large windows and I appreciated their care. Leveled it off nicely as asked, so now I can repurpose it into a more useful bench seat! Full disposal w chipper, cleaned up work area and street once job was completed. Very fair priced, would recommend!

The owner and crew were highly professional and performed an outstanding job clearing the fallen tree from my property. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely the WORST tree company I’ve ever dealt with – STAY AWAY!
I contacted SavATree for a quote to remove 9 trees in my backyard. A rep named Shane came by and gave me what seemed like a fair price, so I paid a $2,500 cash deposit. After I secured the permit, they showed up and suddenly said they couldn’t do the job in one day unless I paid over $2,000 more. I refused and told them I no longer wanted to do business with them and asked for a refund.

It’s now been over a month, and I still haven’t received my money back — they keep saying it’s “being processed.” Completely unacceptable.

I ended up hiring O’Brother Tree Service LLC instead, who gave me a better price AND did a better job — including grinding down the stumps.

Avoid SavATree if you value honesty, reliability, and your money.

I have found the SaveATree folks to be diligent and helpful, and Lorianne is incredibly knowledgeable and understands the needs of my trees and landscaping! Definitely recommend as much more thoughtful than what most if not all landscapers will provide.

Do yourself a favor and SavaDollar—stay far away from their snake oil sprays and so-called treatments. I dropped a couple of grand on nothing. They sent out a lovely arborist who my wife and I bought into hook, line, and sinker. We originally called because our trees had some brown leaves, and the arborist spun a whole tale about leaf miners and how we urgently needed treatment.

So, we paid for the treatment… and guess what? Nothing changed. Now, they’re back, telling me I need to sign up for more treatments. I told them, "Hey, the leaves are still brown, but I’m fair—if the treatment actually works, come do it for free. If my trees turn green as the weather warms up, I’ll happily retroactively pay for it."

And their response? Crickets. Just a generic, auto-generated email confirming my cancellation. No confidence in their own service, just happy to take my money and run.

After moving out of state one of my worries was that my parents landscape would fall into disrepair . I've used a couple other companies but none compare to the quality and expertise of Savatree. Our arborist Shane is always on top of things and cares for the property as if it were his own . Would recommend to anyone!
