Dave was our lawn guy last year after moving to the area and started services back up this year seamlessly. He is reliable and affordable. He ALWAYS shuts our gate so the dogs don't get out, something our old landscapers didn't pay attention to. Very friendly guy, small family business, and even hauled away our couch for us when we asked if knew anyone who could help out. 5 stars no doubt!

Terrible communication. Came and gave an estimate and never followed through. Had to find another landscaper.

Ultimately, my project needs didn’t align, but Tom and Dawn came out and were super informative about the direction I need to go in and were a wealth of knowledge on how to approach the decision-making needing to be done.

Tom and Dawn are not only amazing at what they do, they're also really good people. We have had a terrible drainage issue for years and they came in multiple times and consulted us on the best solution. I've never seen a contractor take the time and effort to do a job. They're the real deal!! 10/10

I couldnt be happier with work they completed for me. They put so much thought and care into solving my standing water problem. I honestly thought it was unfixable, but they fixed it completely. No standing water at all after the work was complete.

Thomas was extremely responsive and was always in communication. The crew that came over were all so friendly and they did such wonderful work.

On top of all of this, the prices were extremely reasonable and fair.

We had issues with water seeping through our basement windows due to degraded window wells. I contacted Tye Landscaping to see about coming up with a solution. They were able to provide a detail plan about what needed to be done with estimated cost. They completed the work on a timely manner and since then we have had heavy rains with no more seepage. I am very happy with their work and if I need any other landscaping work done I would not hesitate in hiring them again. I am quite pleased.

Tom & Dawn brought life & beauty to our yard and home. We've always had some form of landscaping but it had no life or personality; Dawn is so good at taking the whole landscaping in and creating a layout that has beauty, depth and feels very inviting.

The entire Tye family is a pleasure to work with and I can only hope my son has the same hard work ethics as their sons do. They are all hard workers and go over any planting ideas to make sure I am happy with it; though when it comes to the work, they come, work hard, clean up and quietly leave once done with no inconvenience to me or my family.

I had a problem with water coming from my gutters and downspouts along with my neighbor’s gutters and downspouts flooding my back yard, turning it into small swamp.
I called Tom Tye and told him my problems. He suggested three drainpipe extensions, one of which was to be a French drain to capture my neighbors run off. His crew showed up several weeks later and finished the job in two days. They checked with me on each step of the job to make sure I was satisfied. They even made a video of the project and posted it on YouTube. He and his crew did such a great job you could hardly tell they were there. Some places looked even better than when they started. Excellent work!
Today was the first big rain, over 2 ½ inches, since the installation and there is a vast improvement in all areas. If you’re looking for a professional company to fix your drainage issues these are the people to call.

Highly recommend! When we bought our home the lawn and few existing bushes were downright embarrassing. Tom, Dawn & team came in and literally transformed our yards to not only a showpiece property, but one which now hosts a water feature, pond, paving stone patio and sitting wall! It's now the perfect place to entertain friends/family and host holidays get-togethers and is now our own backyard oasis! Incredible eye for detail, thoughtfully crafted designs which stagger blooming periods, professional and courteous - we can't say enough about this amazing family team!

I don't normally bother to write online reviews, but Tom and his family deserve it. It was such a pleasure to work and communicate with them on our project to properly address our latent drainage issues for those larger rain storms we sometimes get here in NJ. Their advice and knowledge was honest and valuable in determining a plan forward. The project consisted of two window wells, soil grading & cleanup around the foundation, and three downspout drain extensions that terminated at a pop-up about 30 feet from the house.

With any job, pricing is just one facet of value for a successful project and they were more than fair. What you get is a tightly coordinated family crew who have expertise in outdoor drainage but can also take in other landscaping projects. During their time on my property, I never felt like they wanted to rush and move on with the next project. In fact, they more than accommodated a slight change in job order with another landscaping project I had weaved in without hesitation because it was in our best interest. They dedicated ample time to my project and performed their due diligence to handle utility line markings, brought sufficient equipment & supplies, and had the foresight to do a proper job.

Not only were they professional and compassionate during the time we consulted on the project, but Tom remained responsive to ensure the rain runoff was going where it should be. As with most projects, I was able to ask questions and share potential concerns. However, I was never left feeling worried or unsure. I even learned quite a bit while consulting with them. I still feel comfortable about hiring them and will email Tom about any future drainage/grading projects.

For our project, they even spent the extra time documenting and producing a couple of YouTube videos that demonstrated their work, which was actually fun to watch. Dawn's narration and metacognition serves to recap what they did and why. It's great to see the progress and have a reference point for the future. You can find mine and other project videos on their YouTube channel. A company that puts their work out in the public says a lot about accountability and it is appreciated.

Tom and Dawn have been doing our lawn and landscape servicing for many years. They are extremely knowledgeable, dependable, easy and a pleasure to work with, and they do a wonderful job. Every year they plant magnificent annuals and they have replaced multiple trees over the years. They keep our house looking beautiful. We also use their snow removal services in the winter and they do a great job of that too. I highly recommend this business!

This company was so responsive when we contacted them, that we thought something must be wrong. How often does a contractor get right back to you, and respond quickly to your inquiries, and follow up promptly? We thought it must be too good to be true. But to our pleasant surprise, not only are Tom and his family responsive, they also do excellent work. They were so thorough, trying to ascertain why we had water issues, and the best way to mitigate them. We agreed on a plan, and they executed a drainage solution with excellence. They made the process so smooth and worked with our municipality to make sure everything was in order. A pleasure to deal with. Prompt and professional. Highly recommend!
