Before hiring this company for any work in your house, please reconsider. I recently hired David, a technician, to perform basic maintenance on my chimney and dryer exhaust vent. Unfortunately, they ended up clogging my exhaust vent, causing my dryer machine to malfunction and display error codes indicating a clogged exhaust.

I contacted the company to request a technician to fix the issue they caused, but they have completely disregarded my calls. They claimed to have a resolution and that they would call me back, but they never did. I provided this company with ample time to rectify the problem that they caused so that I didn’t have to write this review, but they failed to act in good faith. Thanks to Dave’s lack of experience I had to hire someone else to come out and fix the problem.

Despite having 25 reviews with a perfect score, I highly doubt that those reviews are genuine. Their work was sloppy, and they charged me $700 for only 45 minutes of terrible service.

I was getting ready to put my house up for sale and with all the moving, last minute projects and cleaning I desperately needed some help to get it all done in time. I was SO relieved that there was a spot open for a few hours the next day! The ladies who came were so personable and friendly, I enjoyed chatting with them as much as I enjoyed their help cleaning! They did my bathroom, fridge and oven, all which looked brand new once they finished! Every nook and cranny was perfectly cleaned. I never would've had time to do this in my own, nor would I have done half as good of a job. Thank you so much!

Title: At Merry Maids, "Deep Clean" means "Ehh, A Bit Cleaner, I Guess"

We had an unfortunate experience with our recent attempt to have a few rooms of our house deep cleaned by Merry Maids. We requested that our kitchen and two bathrooms be deep cleaned. The individual who arrived to perform the cleaning was pleasant, but told us she had never performed a deep cleaning before.

When she left, the rooms she tackled were certainly cleaner, but definitely not clean.
The countertops were wiped down and the floors were swept, mopped, and vacuumed. However, that falls under my definition of "standard" cleaning, not deep cleaning.

The showers were still dirty, the toilets had stains at the base and under the rim of the bowl, layers of dust remained on various surfaces throughout the rooms, and the tile grout in all of the rooms remained stained and was not thoroughly scrubbed. Our cleaner was present for about 6 hours all told, and these three rooms are not particularly large.

We were shocked that the cleaning wasn't complete, and spoke to the supervisor. They requested pictures of the problem areas, and we sent a few pictures indicating the scope of the unfinished job; the pictures were not intended to be a comprehensive catalogue of all of the ways that they failed to perform the service adquately. Our expectation was that they would come back, re-evaluate the state of the rooms relative to the job we'd agreed they'd perform, and then complete the job without needing additional direction from us.

After the second attempt at cleaning a few days later, the toilets were still dirty and the kitchen floors were still discolored and had not been scrubbed. They addressed only the areas we'd taken pictures of, not the entire unfinished job.

When we spoke to the supervisor a second time, we were told that they would not finish cleaning the floors or toilets. In fact, properly cleaning our toilets and floors were an "additional service" that we hadn't paid for, but they'd be happy to finish the job for an additional fee.

The kitchen is about 100 square feet, and the grout can be cleaned with a few seconds of scrubbing with a slightly abrasive pad. It's not as if we had requested that they come back and clean our 2000 square foot banquet hall. We simply wanted the rooms fully cleaned as originally agreed upon.

Suffice it to say that I was very surprised that when you pay for a deep cleaning, you don't really get a deep cleaning... you get a regular cleaning, followed by some upselling if you want them to finish the job.

Don't expect any real attention to detail or thoroughness, because aren't going to get it.

The person who came to clean was very pleasant, just not thorough. The company itself refuses to finish the job. I would not recommend using this service, as they do a sub-par job and then try to squeeze you for extra money to finish the job satisfactorily.

The two ladies showed up around 9am and got right to work. Construction work had been done prior to their visit and my house was full of dust. When they left everything was shining and my house smells amazing. They did a GREAT JOB!!! and i would recommend them to everyone.

We have been clients of Merry Maids for 10+ years now and we continue to get excellent cleaning services from their team. We have found all of their employees to be both personable and very professional. I highly recommend them.

Beware Warren/Watchung/Bedminster residents. Paid for reviews here but not this one because I had a home cleaning almost a month ago now where their young and inexperienced maid with light brownish blondish hair cleaned my home and took photos of my belongings (saw on home security) and left dirt behind in my bathroom! Yes I have emailed and called with no response and yes she is still employed there when this is not the first time it has happened. My friends in the area, SOMERSET county have had similar experiences with this young maid. Very concerning and please leave your vape out of my home!

The Cleaning crew were on time & extremely professional. Since this was my 1st time using this company, that is very important & left a great impression. The ladies did an exceptional job cleaning my home & had me check to make sure I was satisfied when they were done. That also impressed me.

The work was excellent. I had a bathroom occupied for 6 college students for 2 years that had obviously never been cleaned once. The same goes for the stove and all kitchen appliances. After they were done both rooms looked brand new. Thank you for excellent work. I will definitely recommend your service to my friends and will use you again.

Although costly, they came the next day to do a deep clean when we needed it. Very good and thorough job!

I have been using Merry Maids for many years and Priscilla has been cleaning for me for many of them. She is truly amazing and her attention to detail is spectacular.

So when I had my bathroom gutted and remodeled, and I came down with COVID, I asked Merry Maids and Priscilla to clean up all the dust and debris left behind. Because of all of the dust not only could I not clean up but I could not even live there.

When I did finally come home after Priscilla cleaned I was so happy to be home and you never would have know that there was any construction done. The place was spotless.

The office staff was so very accommodating. I kept having to push the cleaning because I was too sick to have the bathroom finished before it could be cleaned. They were understanding and flexible.

Cannot say enough good things about my Merry Maids team.
