The secretaries that answer the phone and deal with company business are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! They appear to take any customer complaint or concern very personally---as if they own the company. It also appears that the managers are in support of this behavior--- as one of the secretaries stated that the manager "agreed with her and would not give his full name to me (the customer) in order to properly report them." These ladies are NOT knowledgeable about lawn care at all---yet are tasked with the responsibility of answering questions about lawn care or service due to the higher ups working out of the office. The cost of lawn care is very, very expensive--approximately $3,000 per season---and so customers should be handled with more care. The billing secretary in particular was extremely rude---due to my unhappiness with the lawn service and cancellation of services. She went on to state that because I had questions about whether or not a service was performed on my property---an attorney will reach out to me in regards to my final bill...although I never stated that I would not pay that bill. I just wanted to ensure that I was paying for services that were truly performed. Funny thing is...I too am an attorney..so it was laughable! There was a lot of micro-aggression in her method of communicating with me, as well as improper blaming, fast-talking, rude over-talking, blasting the conversation to others in the office via speaker to appear blameless, refusing to listen to reason or get a manager that would listen and then finally hanging up in my ear.

Pleeeeeaaaassssee DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE of hiring this company. Not only are these ladies rude (read the comments below from others carefully---the comments are real!), but the behaviors are condoned by management and so that is why there are SEVERAL reports in regards to the ladies that answer the phone---and no CHANGE. It is really disgusting and an awful way to run a local business. HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS!!!!

I call to obtain an estimate and they came very quickly Later the same day. Initially I was very impressed by how quickly they came to my house and I was sure to use them for the yard work. However four days go by and no estimate was given so I call the office, spoke to a very nice woman who apologized and said she would email me by end of day. Well three more days go by and I call again. Same thing happens again a very pleasant conversation, an apology and a promise to send the estimate. Several days later I have not received the estimate. I won’t waste my time with this company any more. On to another landscaper.

Rich & Dave and their men are amazing ! the work is perfect & clean and right on time ! the price is very fair and they are always checking to make sure I was happy ! this co is by far the best landscaping co I have ever used and from now on th eonly co I will ever use - the office staff is also first class and courteous ! Franca is such a nice lady - I suggest you call them for all your landscaping needs!

I had a major drainage issue on my property. Dave, from RL Landscaping came to the house. He addressed the issue, gave me several options with estimates on each option. I felt very secure in the knowledge that RL Landscaping had my best interest at hand. I no longer have the drainage issue.

I highly recommend Sage Landscape Contractors. I've used them for tree removal, planting new trees and ornamental shrubs, walkways, pavers, porches, driveway lighting, and walkway lighting.They always showed up timely, did an A++ job, protected my property with pvc sheets to do minimal yard damage, and the workers were extremely polite, courteous, and professional.

Great work. Efficient, and perfectionist. Always gives great advice. Maybe a little more expensive than competitors, but have tried competing companies and I always come back to Ed and his crew. It’s true you get what you pay for.

I live on a wooded lot so have lots of trees. Sage keeps them in good shape treating them to keep them healthy and trimming threatening branches. They've also come to my rescue when a tree or large branch comes down during a storm.

I would never use this company. I called for quote for a very simple job and they verbally told me an around what is should cost but when they sent the proposal it was more than double. Trust me I use many landscaping companies Sage are price gouging. I’ve used Ince Landscaping and while they are not cheap they won’t rip you off tell you one thing and then send you another. Plus I can vouch for their work. It’s quality.

We hired Ed Sage to perform the landscape design, decking and grading surrounding our new pool project. Ed and his crew were prompt, professional and meticulous. Specifically, Ed's paving design and end-result dramatically exceeded our highest expectations. We plan on recommending Ed to everyone we know and expect to use him again for other projects.

I'm very happy with the work we had done by Sage Landscape Contractors. Every person that I dealt with very professional. Ed Sage listened to me when we first spoke and gave me a very detailed estimate. His office staff was friendly whenever I spoke with them. The men who came out to do the work were amazing. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves.

I would use them again for any major work and will be contacting them when it is time for mulch again.

We cannot say enough about how much we appreciate the work of Ed and his team! We had an emergency situation with a tree that had fallen on our house and car and Sage came to the rescue. They were able to remove the tree without further damaging the house and worked into the dark to complete the job. They were extremely professional and I would highly recommend them in the future.

Work done to connect the sump pump to the storm drain, and connect drainage from the gutters to the storm drain, around the house (required a lot of digging and laying pipes). I was having issues with water leaking into the basement.
Pleasure to work with, a very efficient well-oiled team (office & the guys on the job), absolute professionals. Sage Landscape bought their expertise to solve the problems that I was having and the solution is working so far. Would definitely use them in the future.

We hired Sage landscaping to create a new backyard that involved clearing trees, regrading, and installing a retaining wall. From start to finish, I couldn't have been more pleased with the work and the end result. Ed Sage provided some very good advice in the design phase that really helped the project immensely in the end. The whole team that worked on the project was impressive and demonstrated a strong work ethic, competence, and a desire to do things the right way. No supervision needed, which is rare. I could completely trust the team. There were no slackers on the team and no one cutting corners. The whole team brought a "can-do" attitude which was a pleasure to deal with when changes were required from original project scope. While Sage wasn't the cheapest upfront, I believe they were the best value given the quality of work delivered. I will certainly be using Ed and his team going forward for all my landscaping needs.

We’ve used Sage for over 20 years. Big or small projects it doesn’t matter. Each and every time we got exceptional results. Our recent dilemma was a plugged gutter drainage system that unfortunately backed up into our basement with these July storms. Marcus responded immediately and his crew tackled the job and our yard looks as if nothing happened! Absolutely awesome

Excellent, quality work from Sage Landscaping! Complete renovation of front and side yards including removal of existing lawn, shrubs, and front and side walkways. Sage removed and resurfaced the areas, created two new walkways, added sod and beautiful shrubs and trees. Estimates were immediate and accurate, and Ed Sage is a talented planner who "saw" the final product, described it to us, and had his staff accurately execute on his vision. Ed's staff is efficient, hard-working, and tidy - each day the premises were left clean and in order. Sage's office staff, especially Pamela, is helpful and responsive, as is Ed Sage. We're delighted with the final product and highly recommend Sage Landscaping!
