Reviews of local pros in Plainfield, New Jersey

We had an amazing experience with J&L Budget Tree Service about a few weeks ago. Excellent and quick communication, timely service and they were extremely thorough. They were very friendly, careful, efficient and thoughtful, leaving the surrounding space cleaner than before they started the job. Would highly recommend using them!

This was such a seamless, high-quality experience, from the friendly and thorough initial assessment, to the speed and ease in which the full quote was presented via text with a link that took you to your proposal. The proposal is broken down by each job and cost, which you can customize by either choosing all jobs or selecting specific jobs to fit within your priority needs/budget. And on the day of service, the team arrived early and diligently completed the job faster than I had anticipated. They cleaned up the yard, street and sidewalk, leaving the ground in the same condition as they started. It was impressive! I would give them more stars for such tremendous work. Thank you!

Would absolutely recommend J&L to anyone looking for tree removal! Extremely happy with our experience and final product. J&L delivered exactly what we discussed with ease, on time and budget. These guys are so skilled and also an absolute pleasure to work with. So glad we chose to work with this crew!

J&L Budget Tree Service is a very professional and highly organized operation. I am a career project manager, and I am very impressed by their end to end execution and follow through. I have had two previous experiences with other tree services, and I was not impressed nor satisfied. I would not recommed them, but I highly recommend J&L Budget Tree Service. They are honest, hard working and knowledgeable professionals. You will not be disappointed!

J&L was a pleasure to work with! We had a very tall, skinny, and dead tree we wanted removed. We got 3 quotes and J&L was the most reasonable by far for this size tree. They showed up on time, took it down in literally 5 minutes, and cleaned up like the tree was never even there. The team was super friendly and professional. I cannot recommend them enough! (This work was done in early March of 2020 pre-COVID)

Jose and crew are awesome. They saved our house from a giant silver maple that was dead inside. It already sent a branch through our garage roof. It was time to say goodbye. Crew was professional and cleanup was perfect. They tackled a huge job and did it well.

I had to say THANK You to this company. They came by 9:30a and out by 3:30p. They cleaned up the mess from the tree and even what fall on my neighbor yard. They also grind the stump and leveled the area. It rain a bit but that did not slowed things down. Wow just great service 👏. Had to give a give them a great tip$. Would definitely recommend.

I usually never leave any reviews, but their service was beyond excellent!
Orlando and his team are simply professional and knowledgeable in what they do. Nelson was very helpful and responded to all my concerns.
The tree was difficult, not only that it was very close to the house, but also surrounded by retaining wall. After all this very large oak was completely removed along with it's stamp. The whole process took only 3 hours. The area was beautifully cleaned up, all wood chips removed, none of the new retaining wall got damaged. I was beyond happy and glad to find this company.
They even picked up one of their grinding truck and with crane placed it in the middle of very tiny front lawn to be able to remove the tree stump ( which none of other companies said could be done)!
So, if you are looking for tree service don't hasitate and call Orlando! Their prices are also the best!!!
If I could I would give them 10 stars!!!!

The team showed up at the appropriate time and got right to planning their day, the takedown was very strategic and very well though out.. At the end of it all there was no damage to any objects or property and cleaned up the property better than i thought it would be…definitely would recommend to others…

They gave me the best price to remove 4 tree and grind the stumps down. Nelson and his crew was great. They came early and got to work. I highly recommend them if you need any work done. They even cut up some of the tree in fire place log size for me so I will be set for fire wood for next winter.

We had a diseased tree, a huge oak, that needed to come down, quick. J&L were excellent; clear communication about process and price. The tree came down quickly and efficiently. The yard was left spotless afterwards. Can't recommend them enough.

We needed to remove 11 very large old trees from our property so I interviewed 5 different tree services. From the moment I began working with J&L Budget Tree Service i was immediately impressed with their professionalism. From the estimate and contract process to when they first arrived at exactly 7am on day one to when they completed the job 3 days later, they were extremely hard working and very professional.
Jose & Nelson and their team of aerial surgeons removed tree limbs hanging over the house, brought down enormous trees with extreme organization. They ground the stumps and removed all of the debris ultimatley leaving the property clean and in great shape.
From value to professional service I strongly recommend J&L!!!

We had a fantastic experience with J&L Budget Tree Service. They were incredibly courteous and professional throughout the entire process. The team arrived on time, their online interface for getting a quote, and making payments was super convenient. They made sure to clean up thoroughly after the job, leaving our lawn spotless. Highly recommend them to anyone in need of tree cutting or trimming services!

I called around to 7-8 different tree companies and J&L was by far the best one to deal with. They were the first company to notice major issues with my trees, gave me the best price (by beating others), and got all the work done in one day! They were truly incredible to deal with from start to finish.

Very impressed with the operation. Received a very fair quote, had good communication about permitting and scheduling. Team arrived and went right to work. Had good communication with foreman and they did a clean job being careful of sprinklers and lighting. J and L has professional operators and the right equipment for the job.

We have now hired J&L three times, to fell a total of 20 dead or dangerous trees. Some trees were close to our house, some behind our fence, some leaning heavily. They did a quick and clean job of all of them. Pricing was fair and they were willing to adjust scope to our exact needs. They scheduled a day and time in advance, showed up as expected and were respectful of the property. Highly recommended!

This was my first time using J&L Budget Tree Service and I couldn't be happier with the service and outcome. I highly recommend using J&L and I will be using them in the future. We had a large branch hanging over our house that we wanted gone. My neighbor and I ended up using J&L to remove the entire tree. The day of, the team showed up early and was extremely professional and quick. Everything went flawlessly. My other neighbor even ending up using them on the spot to remove one of his branches. J&L was excellent with communication and always quick to respond. I highly recommend using them! I had a great experience and will be recommending to everyone.

Orlando and Jose are a true pleasure to work with from start to finish. We have a large property that required all of there services. The crew was on time, respectful, gave great care to not damaging the property with equipment and clearly knew what they were doing. The team always seemed to go one step ahead to ensure a great experience for there customer. This was a very advanced job and I can not think of a better company for the job. They also called me the next day to ensure I had time to see everything they performed and make sure I was satisfied with there work. I am VERY happy with there services and plan to hire them back again soon. There prices are very fair. I no longer have a need to find anyone else for my tree work.

Excellent experience with J&L! They were quick to come out to give us an affordable quote for trimming dead branches. The crew arrived on time and did such a Great job!! Very efficient and cleaned up nicely afterward. We will use them again for all future jobs. Thank you!!!!

I am very pleased with the work that was done on my house. The two men worked efficiently and timely, cleaned up the debris and left the area better than it was. I have used Deegan Roofing several times over the years, and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend them.

The team came out right away and uncovered what our issue was. We were so glad to see how quickly they were able to make the repairs efficiently and quietly while we were working from home. I'd definitely use them again.
