WORST CHRISTMAS TREE EVER - This was the second and last year I get a Christmas tree from The Garden Center. There were three issues that I encountered. Like last year, I picked out a beautiful tree to be flocked. 1. Three days later we went to pick up the tree and had to wait around for them to load it in the car. I had to request that the tree be put in a bag. Who would transport a flocked tree without a bag??? Why pay extra for flocking to have it come off in the vehicle? To expedite the process, I assisted the guy in moving the tree because it was a two person job and there were only two people working and the other was with another customer. The tree was poorly wrapped (again a two person job) so we lost a significant amount of flocking. 2. A slightly taller tree from The Garden Center cost $120 last year but cost $155 this year. I chocked it up to inflation because I got a great tree, right? WRONG 3. Only a week later ornaments started falling off the tree when no one was in the room to disturb them even though the tree had water. After only 10 days of having the tree it was visibly drooping. I have owned flocked trees since I was a child and I have NEVER had a tree look as badly after 3 weeks as this tree looked after only 10 days. They offered to replace the tree but since it was 3 days before Christmas and the tree was fully dressed we declined because it took 3 days to dress it. We took the tree down after only two weeks (a first for our family). The tree looked like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree - pathetic. The branches drooped so much we had EXTREME difficulty getting to the ornaments. We couldn't fit the gifts under the tree although when we bought it, it had around 12" of clearance. The branches lost a majority of the needles while taking off the ornaments. The trees must have been old before they sold them. I won't be repeating this mistake. It was messy, costly and I am still not sure I got all of my beloved ornaments off of it. Instead of being a centerpiece the tree was a disappointment - imagine a weeping willow instead of Christmas tree.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They took the time to help design a garden bed layout with me. They also educated me on caring for the different plants I was looking to purchase.

Would be no star if that were an option.

My husband and I are high risk for Covid 19.

We went to this garden cent to find some pond fixtures and to order 6 trees for installation in our back yard.

The rude male that waited on us did not have his mask on his face and we asked him to put it on. He said nothing and would not help us by wearing his mask as he waited on us.

We would have spent at least $1,000 there as we have spent much over the years.

I will go somewhere else where the customer is treated with respect.

Extremely helpful and personable staff. I wasn’t sure which plants would work best on my patio and the staff took the time to walk me through a number of options and provided great insight. Will definitely shop there again.

Getting our yard ready for the summer what's a breeze when we went here. The lady that helped us was super nice and answered all of our questions about the right plants to use in our pond and which trees and flowers to plant because I don't have a green thumb! Very friendly and helpful.

Very helpful and pleasant people, they had the pond items I needed, definitely a regular stop for me now

They have nice healthy plants, a little more variety than lowes or home depot. A little pricy. I painted the pot.

Great place with a good variety of garden supplies to choose from. Eric was very friendly, helpful, & let our little one feed the koi fish! We really appreciate the safety measures in place during the pandemic. Eric wore his mask outside while showing us materials & stayed respectful of social distancing.

Today my mom and I went to the garden center and pond supplies store in Sewell!! The owner (Laurie!) and I got to talking about why portulacas and I explained that they were my dads moms favorite flower and I plant them every year and how he just passed and all that stuff and naturally I started crying and she said was just SO AMAZING and warm and caring - such a rarity these days!! And then I wanted to potted plants for my porch and someone who worked there (Donna!) added some extra flowers for me just to make it more full but didn’t charge anything extra!!!
Laurie and Donna were amazing. So helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and amazing!!! The flowers they had were beautiful along with the assortment of yard decor!! Everything was reasonably priced as well. My mom and I actually found this gem of a place on accident and I am so glad we did!! This is my new favorite nursery and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!!!

I am not a person who likes change. But I am glad we switched to the Garden Center for our Christmas Grave Blankets. They do ABSOLUTELY LOVELY work for a reasonable price. Once I like you, I will be loyal. You definitely have found a new loyal customer. VERY SATISFIED TWO YEARS NOW. thank you for caring.

This is an excellent store with fantastic service. I was surprised to read the negative reviews but then learned that many of them are related to the previous owners (Cousins?). I found everyone here to be exceptionally kind, well informed and professional. If you are considering a pond be sure to ask for Becky. She really knows her stuff and is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Always a pretty place. We go here for Santa pictures and the Santa is awesome. He makes the experience so special, and the pictures are free. Their store has some really cool things ( Louie Vution donut ornaments). I recommend going here next year: the pictures are gorgeous!!

Everyone here was so sweet and helpful ! They have a lot of cute decorations that I absolutely loved. The owner Laurie was so very welcoming and told us more info about the types of flowers we were planting which was very nice of her. They also had the rocks that we have been looking all over for so they made our day!!!

Thank you Kim for you help putting the wing back on my wind catcher. Hopefully the backyard doesn’t see another tornado, but it’s wonderful to know people like you are out there willing to help afterwards.

Went for propane tank exchange, closer, cheaper, and much more convenient than the larger places like Lowes. They took the tank from my car, brought a new one to my car, and rang me up inside. Great garden center, too, with so much variety. Great service, too, informed me of upcoming events.

I came here when I was a kid my parents brought me here. Today I brought my twin boys, stepdaughters, w/ my wife. Went to get a flower for my mom and got yelled at, not sure what happened. It was hard to tell who works there and who’s a customer, who’s in line or not. I would like to apologize to anyone if I was rude and cut in line unknowingly. You ever go somewhere and feel like you’re doing something wrong and aren’t sure what you’re doing wrong…? Then you just wish you didn’t come here?

Would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM SHOPPING HERE! My husband has been shopping here for yrs (for our lawn care and koi pond needs) and has never encountered any concerns until today. Unfortunately, it only took one unfavorable visit to ensure we will NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN (thank you Kelsey!). My husband picked up a truck load of mulch this morning. Halfway through placing throughout our yard we realized it is full of termites! Upon calling (to try and obtain support regarding next steps/how to treat) Kelsey was obviously not interested in our concerns. We were told to turn it all in for a refund (which obviously is not an option at this point considering the majority has already been laid in our beds) or "go to Home Depot and purchase termite treatment". When I asked if doing so could damage our trees, flowers, plants, etc. she stated "Oh well, that's a whole 'nother issue".
This was the most deplorable, unprofessional, uneducated conversation I've ever encountered with a local business, given how much damage termites can do to a home. Fyi, DO NOT BUY THE BLACK MULCH, IT IS FULL OF TERMITES! *and just a side note, I work with many local landscapers in my profession and had a local owner confirm these are in fact termites, regardless what Kelsey may have tried to claim.

**PURCHASE FROM THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Sad way to run an business! Thankfully, there are many other places available to spend my money**

This is the place to go for any and all of your pond needs. We recently moved into a property with a giant waterfall and koi pond and although we knows nothing about ponds we decided to roll with it. Well after a few months everything broke and we had to sell fish and it was a sad day for the kids. I decided to stop by this shop one afternoon to see how much a new pump would be and I was greeted by some of the nicest folks I’ve met since moving to NJ. They took the time to educate me on how my pond works, what I needed and even helped me make connections with people to help us get back up and running. My family and I will forever be grateful to the folks here and they have a customer for life.
