I have used Quantum Construction multiple times over the last 14 years. They may have completed 8-10 projects over that time period ranging from a few thousand dollars to well over $100,000; both commercial and residential. Their bids are always accurate and very competitive. They have always delivered projects either on-time or several days early. Company employees and sub-contractors are always professional and respectful of my properties. I will continue to use Quantum Construction for many years to come and have recommended them to both friends and family.

I feel the original estimate was fair. Randy and his team were very professional and polite. They performed all work to satisfaction. Would use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them highly.

Jackson Contracting, Randy Jackson and Jolene Gamarra have not responded to paying a Default Judgement to me in the amount of $11,606 by the Monmouth Special Civil Part Court of Monmouth County as of September 16, 2022. No work was ever done. Consumer Fraud for sure.
UPDATE: October 25, 2022. Jackson Contracting has still not provided the court with the court award for the Default Judgement against them for $11,606..
UPDATE: January 13, 2022. Jackson Contracting has still avoided payment from the default judgement against them for $11,606 as awarded to me by Monmouth County Special Civil Court. I just don't understand why they do not return money when no work was done or materials ordered. That is a lot of money and I do consider that stealing!!!!!!!!!!

Randy and team came through and helped out with a project! He was fair, quick and more than reasonably priced. I would recommend him and his team for any job. Will look to use again in the future. Thank you!!!

Both Randy's teams worked in a very professional manner & were mindful of our home & property. They arrived as scheduled & kept us up to date with progress.

Randy installed shelves and built out the closet in my son’s room. He and his team are very knowledgeable and helpful in providing ideas. I was very impressed with his work and decided to hire him again to expand the master bedroom closet.

Hired Randy to do a full bathroom remodel and the experience was so great I called him back to reseal my windows, and i have also referred him to friends for projects in their homes. I will continue to hire him for projects around my home.

Spare yourself! I hired Randy for a bedroom in January....it's been 4 months and the job still isn't complete. He also stopped responding. He told me 2 weeks start to finish and I'm now about to have a baby 5 weeks with no finished room. Also he only sends people randomly every few weeks or so when we ask him. He has a book of excuses and theres just no reason I should have had to wait this long for what we asked for. Now we need to put more money to have someone new finish someone else's work. Also, his team makes it a habit of leaving their drinks all over, front and back doors wide open for us to find when we get home and thank God we planned on replacing the floors downstairs anyway because there is spackle and nails and debris embedded all over the carpets. Mind you downstairs are the kids playroom and bedrooms...which they haven't slept or played in since January with everything all over the place covered in layers of dust from drywall sanding. Can't forget about the vent he took out and never replaced in my son's room either. Now we have to find someone for duct work too. This isn't even all of it, the fact I haven't posted photos is being nice.

Work was done to completion, but the process to get there was long and frustrating. The service requested was repair to my bathroom ceiling for water/moisture damage. Visible crack/seam in the sheet rock and paint chipping/bubbling. I suggested that the damaged sheet rock should probably be cut out and replaced but JC insisted that a few layers of spackle over the damage would suffice, which it did, until a 2-3 months later when the paint bubbled again. More moisture buildup and leaking, and the sheet rock once again showed visible damage. Finally the second time around, the damaged part of the ceiling was removed and replaced, per my original request. However I was charged for the labor of both repairs, for which the first one could have been avoided if the sheet rock was simply replaced like I had requested initially.
All the while, it was difficult to coordinate any of the jobs to get done. Some of my texts went unanswered and required several follow-ups days or weeks later... once we did get a time on the schedule however, it was still not guaranteed that anyone would show up on time or at all... "Phone died, I forgot"... "Woke up late"... "Wife's car wouldn't start"... "Forgot my son had baseball"... "Can't find my ladder"... I fully understand things happen and these can all be valid reasons but at least half of the time it would be me reaching out to find out what happened, rather than JC letting me know ahead of time that there would be a delay.
It has now been two weeks since the final repair and so it is holding up, but I was very underwhelmed by the overall reliability and responsiveness

Randy did an excellent job replacing an exterior window. His attention to detail was excellent. I was very pleased with his work and would not hesitate to hire him again.

Great work, great person (owner) and great company! A piece of siding popped off but remained attached in one small spot. Was windy so it was blowing around and smacking against my house. They were here and repaired it within the hour… and this was on a Sunday!!!

Jc contracting renovated our bathroom and it turned out beautiful! They worked quickly and kept us up to date on all timelines as well as expected arrival times from day to day. We will definitely be working with them again!

After paying randy and jolene in full, to demolish and build a new deck, it cost me another 6800$ to bring my deck up to code and repair all the shoddy work they left me with. Plus lawyers fees. They now have a judgment against them. And they are evading the law. I entered into a contract with them in good faith. What a disappointment!!!!! That they would do this.
UPDATE. 8/8/24 no response from randy or jolene regarding my judgment against them. Sad part is I'm not the only one they have done this to. They won't even contact my lawyer for a partial settlement. Nice example.

UPDATE 3/2025 Randy and Jolene have evaded court orders. To compensate me AND OTHERS for uncompleted and shoddy work. What a DISGRACE

Randy and his team are the best. Professional, fair pricing, and friendly. They've done my roof, remodeled my bathroom and now fenced in my yard. These guys do it all. Highly recommend for any project.

Personal story of Jackson Contracting owner, Randy Jackson, asking for a 50% deposit for lumber materials to protect upward price movement. requested certified check in February 2022. we paid the same day the request was made. we received receipt of them cashing the check. no other advancement made by the owner to communicate with us. By our written agreement/contract we could cancel and receive refund of non special order deposits (which we had none other than a lumber yard reservation). I emailed appropriate cancellation per their paperwork and spoke with randy directly the next day to confirm the cancelation. we were to receive the $11,500 10 business days after the cancellation. to this date, June 1, 2022 we have not heard from or received the money...we are so upset at ourselves and are warning others, stay away from Jackson Contracting. the other part of the team is Jolene Jackson who also is a part of the ownership. she has not communicated with us after the cancellation in returning the money. I have read this same story , after the fact, with other clients of Jackson Contracting. I wish he would have been honest but never was from the start. I personally dont believe they ever intended to do my porch roof and just went through the motions to get cash to pay previous projects. my money should have been in escrow since only 1/3 was the actual lumber yard request to hold price...
UPDATE for 6/28/22. BBB informed me they had sent 2 notices to Jackson Contracting and never received a response concerning the return of the deposit. Jackson Contracting advertises that they are members but are not. The BBB logo is on their signs, business cards and on the door to their showroom.
UPDATE: 7/26/22: Jolene and Randy Jackson have defaulted on my Special Civil Part in Monmouth Court effective 7/25/22. They ignored the Monmouth Court request for response to my suit.
UPDATE 8/20/22--Randy and Jolene have not responded to the Department of Consumer Affairs request for response within the 10 business day notification, even after Jolene stated to the Assistant Director that they would.

We hired Randy to complete some minor bathroom renovations and thought he would be doing the actual work, which was not the case. The worker he sent did a poor job and had to come back to fix it and it still wasn't right. It was frustrating to say the least to deal with Randy when it came to communication, setting expectation and scheduling. It seems he has too many jobs to manage at the same time and we found his demeanor to be abrasive. We have come to find out that another part of the job was not done correctly and we have to hire someone else to fix it. This isn't a way you conduct business.

I have used Jackson Contracting for the second time this was a bigger job and I have to say they exceeded our expectations! The reconstructed a deck off a second floor room and its amazing. Randy gave me good advice on materials and advised me the proper way to make sure it was structural aound . The deck is beautiful and came in at a price that beat anyone else I had estimates from .. Almost dont want to write this review for selfish reasons so he not to busy to do a few more projects for me . He and his workers are professionals, neat and on time . Very happy with Jackson contracting... John

Randy is very professional and the quality of work is really great. When I had a issue with my masonry and bay wi dow, I had called him. I was originally skeptic but when I talked to Randy I got a sense that I could trust this guy. His guys came in this Monday and did an exemplary job. They are currently finishing it they still need to finish the window and I stall a gutter that they are doing. But the way Randy explained the issue was no BS. He said exactly what it was and got it done the right way. Now I do t have to worry about 2 issues. 1. My bay window and gutter Nd 2. I will never have to shop around for a General Contractor. Randy is very understanding of what you ask and is very quality minded. I would definitely recommend him to my friend and will go no where for any other job I have. I will post pictures next week so anyone can see the quality of work so it helps other skeptics like me whi have been tricked I the past by general contractors.
