Home Services reviews in Albuquerque, New Mexico

I updated my review from 5 to 3 stars. There are consequences when an employee treats a customer poorly. Perhaps the young man was having a bad day, therefore 3 stars and not 1. I believe in supporting local business and will continue to shop there for all the other reasons originally posted here except customer service. I will not, at the checkout, explain that I prefer to buy at Rehm's rather than the big box store. Mostly really nice people. (Really nice people produciing green things that have a high probability of surviving. Fantastic selection of plants and trees, and all the organic gardening products needed for smart gardening. Rehm's is unique.)

Nice, large plant nursery! Wide selection of plants and garden decor. Got some red wrigglers here a few years ago, and they're still going strong in my worm bin. Got an asiatic lily that's been dutifully growing more and larger bulbs since then!
Staff is helpful and seem to be treated well. -
I scored a young cherry tree a few weeks ago from them that fit in my back seat and I seen that there are small green cherries already forming. I smiled. Definitely coming back soon for another tree. My strawberries roots are coming along as well. Great place

Wonderful nursery: great selection of plants, reasonable prices, friendly and helpful staff. I love going to Rehm’s.

Extremely knowledgeable and help! I was getting a gift for a newly expanded business but I didn't want to gift a hassle or a burden. The sales associated was sympathetic and fantastic! They asked me about possible lighting, availability of the care taker, and room then found me a selection of plants that fit the bill. I ended up choosing one that required minimal maintenance but looks great! Thanks for the help!

This is really a great nursery. I have a community garden. We needed soil to plant pumpkins. They had a few nice plants and a wide variety of pumpkin seeds. Our families are looking forward to growing our pumpkins this year.

I went to Rehm's Nuraery looking for something special for someone I don't know. Every area I went into had someone who asked if I needed help, was polite and, even though their area didn't have anything that jumped out at me, it was still nice to be acknowledged. Something of notice, at least two of the employees were fairly new, with one of them being a first day. Anyway, I found what I needed with help, found a pot too, and will always like plant shopping at Rehm's!

Today (June 10, 2023) was my first time exploring this nursery! In fact, I didn't even know it was here until I stumbled across it on the David Austin Roses Facebook Group! The people at Rehm's were super friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. This is my first time growing veggies and herbs, and they helped me tremendously while also putting my mind at ease! They not only addressed all of my questions, but provided even more suggestions! I'm definitely going back! Thank you!

My favorite little hidden gem, right here in the middle of town. Great plants, smart and helpful people

I love this place. Rehms is always the number one place for me I can go and get all my plants my flowers it's not very crowded I can go in there with my service pup and never feel out of place. I always get my best friend tomatoes plants from there and they grow AMAZING. As far as durability all the plant and flowers I ever got from Rehms bloomed very well and turned out so beautiful. When these grow I'll put pictures.

I love to shop local whenever I can. The staff are nice and very helpful. The plants are well cared for and healthy. They have a good variety of local plants. The price is definitely worth it to support a local business.

Got bored on this rainy day so I went to Rehm's to make a bunch of tiny little succulent and cacti arrangements. Can't wait to go back and get more plants lol

Answers the phone, answers all questions, love to shop here. Just bought 6000 ladybugs today for my garden. They now have a lifelong customer. Thanks for being awesome in a time when so many others are not. Edit, still shopping here, great as always!!

I've visited twice this year and was able to find exactly what I was looking for both times (even difficult-to-find varieties). The staff is very helpful. I can't really comment on the prices because I haven't comparison shopped at other nurseries in ABQ. My experience has been good enough here that I haven't been inclined to shop elsewhere.

The plants at Rehm's are amazing. They have a marvelous selection of plants that thrive in our high desert climate. The larger ones I purchased came with a 90-day guarantee too. Nice people working at this nursery as well.

I’ve been coming to Rehm’s for years, ever since I moved to Albuquerque. Every year I spend hundreds of dollars. They do have some very nice things but they’re extremely expensive. Which is fine. I don’t mind paying too dollar for nice things. Today I went in to buy a gift for my niece who just bought a house with her fiancé. I picked out a gorgeous house plant and a planter and another plant and it was going to cost me about $100. Unfortunately they had a cheap cast statue displayed next to a plant I picked up. It was very lightweight and tall and skinny and I accidentally knocked it over. The guy helping me said “you break it you buy it.” I don’t feel it was my fault. Why would you display an $80 statue in such a way that it would be so easy to knock o er. I told the guy at the counter that he could take my money for the plants I am purchasing or I can walk out and never come back. He said “fine”. That’s not a wise policy if you ask me. You’ve lost me as a customer for life. You lost the sale. You lost your statue. Lose lose lose. You could have said give me $20 and I would have. They would have gotten $120, they could have written off the broken item, and kept me as a customer for repeated business. This is bad business. They are obviously doing extremely well and can afford a broken item. Or better yet, safeguard their expensive breakables in a location that keeps them safe. I’m very disappointed.

Just have to say that I tend to agree with the slightly lower rating reviews. No hyper-sensitivity here. It's just hard to ignore that when Tammy took over from the previous owner (when Rowlands Nursery closed almost simultaneously), they had a golden opportunity. For a while it did alright I've shopped at local nurseries for years. To me, Rehms has somewhat dropped the ball around when the son more recently took over. Perhaps it's not what he wants to be doing?
The 5 star reviews are more wishful thinking of what a thriving local business might look like. Not reality here. Yet, Rehm's is a decent place.
For such a small business, it needs to be more focused, and organized. Plant materials hardly ever are ordered to be available timely or in numbers matching demand. Plants are pretty randomly placed about, overpriced even on the most basics.
The clerk's are a mixture. Some are friendly and helpful. Not many are especially knowledgeable, or even seem to want to know answers to questions they cannot answer themselves.
Suggestion: Try to always have a few good perennials and annuals in stock,, and reasonably priced, even if it means growing some of them in your own greenhouses.
You're doing okay, but could do better.
Thanks for being there. -
I really like this nursery. Wonderful plants and trees. The only place that had asparagus crown roots. Great staff! Good prices!

Tried several times to reach this place from out of the area to purchase a gift certificate. Twice my emails were ignored, and when I finally spoke with someone on the phone, after being hung up on, my request was immediately dismissed. Very disappointing!
