Fantastic experience with this vet-owned business! They had great communication coordinating the delivery and were flexible when we needed to adjust the date last-minute. We are very happy with the quality of the bark mulch.

Went to buy soil builder. They delivered fill dirt. I talk to driver he told me to call, Sandra answered basically said my fault. Said the gentlemen that helped me write down fill. The driver had the piece of paper he wrote on , it had nothing but the word dirt. I need soil builder for garden we talked about it. All they offered was free delivery but still want 350? Something for what I ordered. Very sad because I like you guys but really poor customer service. To tell me me fault, I only looked at soil builder and mulch. Never looked or new about fill dirt

Bought a mix of top soil and soil builder (totaling 3 yards) for our new garden beds only to realize that when we watered, the water would pool on top and wouldn’t soak through the top layer of dirt. After the water dried, the top layer hardened and the dirt underneath was completely dry. We did this twice and day for a week hoping the water would soak down. It did not. After some research, it seems what we got from Pete’s is hydrophobic.
Did more research on how to fix the problem only to find that we would now need 3 more yards of mushroom compost and worm castings to mix into the dirt.
Since we spent about $300 and took two days to lay the soil in our garden beds, we were really dreading doing it all again. I called Pete’s hoping for advice, a refund, or something to help liven up our soil. I explained all of this to the woman at Pete’s and let her know I was worried that everything in our garden beds would die if we left the soil as is. Her response was “not if you water it, it won’t.” I explained to her again that even when watering, the soil underneath the top layer is completely dry. She let me know she would speak to a manager and call me back.
When my call was returned, they recommended adding a layer of bark mulch on top of the existing soil but wasn’t able to explain to me why or how that would fix the problem when asked. I asked to speak with someone who was able to explain it to me and was told they would call back. Never received a call back. I asked for a partial refund or discount on the mulch they recommended. They declined to refund me but offered to credit me 1.5 yards bark mulch which I guess is better than nothing. Needless to say, I won’t be using their mulch to try and resolve this problem and won’t be returning to Pete’s.

Even without this issue, the soil was completely dry and full of rocks. And we have SO many flies now, wasn’t a problem before laying the soil. Yes it’s cheaper than Soilutions but the quality of Pete’s top soil and soil builder is not rich or healthy enough to support plant life. Wish I could turn back time and get my soil elsewhere.

Piss poor driving by a man in a Maverick with this company’s name on it, swerving all over going into the left and right lane almost hitting other vehicles. It appeared that he was either on his phone or searching for something in his vehicle. I honked 2x and still continued on with his swerving. A+ for driving safely! I can only imagine the work you guys do!

Neighbor used Pete’s. They asked if they could move some rock into our yard and move back as part of the process. I was fine with it, but they did not make it look very good when they put it back along with the weed mat. Looks terrible.

Friendly front-of-the-house, but terrible delivery "service". Didn't ask me where to put the pallet of rocks. Scratched the driveway with the fork life in two places. I've never written a Google review before but an now -- because when calling customer "service", they were defensive, talked over me and downplayed/dismissed my concerns. Would never recommend them or return. (I don't use Google photos so can't upload pix.)

I’ve been buying firewood from Pete’s for many years and the last 2 years the quality has gone way down. Two years ago I had a load delivered and it was full bark scrap and unsplit chunks. This year I decided to go pick it up with my trailer to save a few bucks and it was even worse. The loader scooped up a load and dumped it in my trailer. I noticed most of it was unsplit but underneath the wood was dirt and bark enough to fill my residential dumpster! I should have rejected it but I was hoping for the best….I’m absolutely done with them! Stay away! See picture! Very disappointing!

Great to work with, helped walk around the yard and provided needed input for me to make my selections. Will come back again. Got bark, filler rock and flagstone. Bark project done and looking good!!! Thank you!

We’ve used Pete’s several times in the past and have been fairly happy, but last week, we had 2 loads of materials delivered. I met the driver and showed him the tarp where he could put both loads. He placed the mulch as far back as possible so that there would be room for the crusher fines. He said he would be right back with the 2nd load. When I went out later in the afternoon, he had dumped the gravel right in front of our garage door and not on the tarp. We were unable to get our vehicle in or out of the garage, so we ended up shoveling a huge pile of gravel over to the tarp. When we called to complain, they could not have cared less. They basically took our number and never called back. We’ve gotten literally tons of wood and landscaping materials from them, but unless they make this right, we’re done.

I ordered a delivery of 12 cubic yards of soil builder from Pete's. After the delivery I called and told the owner Sandra that our order was short by a significant amount. She was rude and laughed at me several times on the phone and told me she took care of the order herself and it was 12 yards. She did this without even seeing a picture of what was delivered. I asked for an email to send a picture of the delivery. I sent her this picture of the "12 yards" sitting next to my Nissan Frontier. She called back after a few minutes and told me it is indeed 12 cubic yards of material. She then proceeded to try to sell me more....no thank you. I'm only giving them 1 star because I have to give them a star to post. I will never again buy anything from Pete's.

Bought 1 cord of firewood. The price was pretty high at 395 + tax. Expected a cord of split wood. 20% of the wood was sticks and scraps. We can burn it all but the scraps burn quickly and don't heat like a nice split logs!

DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING WOOD FROM PETES THEY ARE RIP OFFS. We ordered a cord of wood and only received less than half. We called and Sandra did not want to help us and she was rude. After arguing she said they will deliver some more on Tuesday between 2 and 5. I made arrangements for my kids to be picked up from school so I can wait for them. 5 o'clock came and no show. We called them and they said they couldn't come out till Wednesday between 2 and 5:00 p.m.. Wednesday morning 7:00 a.m. there at my gate calling me. Luckily I was home because I usually take my high schooler to school at 7. I asked the guy what a cord was to them and he said 2 rows 4' high by 8' long. After stacking it. It still was not a full cord. We usually get wood ourselves but where we get it from was closed and we were running out of time. A cord is 4' high 8' long 3 rows. We will not be getting wood from them again and do not recommend them. They will rip you off.

Ther was no signature of satisfaction. The note book piece of paper with a drawing of how to get here is what the guy had me sign. He said he needed my signature to show his boss he was here and delivered.

Would give zero stars if I could. Missed a whole day of work due the lack of a heads up and early delivery outside of the quoted time as my car was in the garage. Unhelpful when it came to resolving anything. Edit: They did not call us ahead of time. Do not believe them.

They have decent prices and they promise, in a very professional manner, to execute on the plan but then totally fail when it comes to actually delivering the rock in a time frame that you are agreed to or that satisfies the customer's needs. They specifically told me that they would deliver the rock between 9:00 and 3:00 p.m. and give me a call 1 hour ahead of delivery instead it was dumped in my driveway at 6am, blocking access and cars from getting in and out. When approached about giving me my delivery money back or trying to push the rock aside later in the day and after acknowledging that the original plan was clear they entirely ignored it and stated that they delivered the rock and they were done. Very dissatisfied. Reply to owner (7/2/25): There was no attempt to call me as confirmed by the driver and woman who made the original plan and the load was delivered at 6am. I requested all or a portion of the delivery fee returned and/or help moving the rock out of the way, the woman said she could comply with neither request.

in and out, soil quality great for my needs. less than 10mins for me. definitely will come again.

They did an excellent job and everything turned out great! I would definitely recommend them. I can't wait to see my new plants grow! I found them very polite and they took care of my questions and concerns.

Very disappointed. This is my first time ordering a cord of wood from petes landscaping. First they were trying to deliver it on a date I told them I would be out of town and when they called to let me know that, I told them not to because I want to be sure it is dropped off by the red utility trailer. And the correct date for drop off was today Monday, wouldn't you know, they didn't call to inform me they were coming nor did they confirm a time they would be coming. so they chose to drop it off blocking my food trailer that I use for work. Being that i live alone, I now need to move it on my own. When I called to inform them that I was unsatisfied, I was told they did what was on the notes. No apology, no, how could we make it right. I was told pretty much, sucks to be you.... I do not recommend this company for lack of consideration of a 60 year old women that lives alone and now has move the mess they left for me. Ugh! Where the hell is the communication and professionalism?

I’ve ordered from Pete’s twice now and they were friendly and professional from reception to delivery. My sister has also used them several times and I highly recommend their service.

We ordered 5 boulders weighing about 85 pounds each and set up a delivery time for Tuesday Sept. 26 between 9am and 1pm. At 12:50 I called because no one had shown up or contacted us. I was told they were swamped and short-handed. I was told we would receive our stones between 3pm and 5pm. At 4:50 a pickup truck arrived. There was one person only. When we placed the order with Sandra she said they would need two people to set the boulders and it would cost $95. The person was using his own pickup truck. I asked where the 2nd person was because we paid for two people. He said he didn't know anything about that. The boulders were for the curb area and he ended up only having to carry them about ten feet from the truck. We were charged $45 for delivery, $15 fuel surcharge, and $95 for TWO people to set the boulders. Total $155. I called the next day and spoke with the manager Mike. I asked him to refund us $47.50 because only one person handled the setup of the boulders. He said it was the standard fee no matter how many people were used to set the boulders. He was not willing to compensate us for anything! We waited ALL DAY! WE CALLED them as no one called us to tell us there was a staff problem and a delay in delivery time. We paid for two people delivering and setting the boulders and only got one person. Thankfully he only had to carry the boulders a few feet from the pickup and just move the truck forward for each boulder. I have purchased from Pete's at least two other times and I was very happy with everything. We are hard working and caring people. We tipped the person that helped us picking out the 5 boulders. We definitely were not treated professionally on the delivery day and especially when I spoke with Mike. We did not get quality service for what we were charged for!

Do not buy rock from this place.The worst owner and workers. Not only do they sell me two different colored rocks.They insulted my intelligence and told me I bought it from a different company. Didn't do anything to try to make it right?So I had to eat seven hundred dollars and still have to buy new rock for my client. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
