Chuck and his helper JJ replaced all the smoke detecors in the house. They were friendly, fast and efficient and charged a lot less than I expected.

Chuck didn't even have to come out. Saved us money and advised us what to do over the phone. Will use his services again. Thank you Chuck!

The website says "We offer free quotes on our electrical work and we are confident that our pricing will be competitive." I asked about a free quote for replacement of a ceiling fan and possibly some minor ceiling repair and the gentleman said "I don't give free estimates for that type of work." Maybe you should reword your ad.

Always great to work with this company. Helpful does great work and is very reasonable. Mr Calhoun has helped us with several problems over the years and often helps solve the problem over the phone.

Called on a Sunday. He was out Monday by 10:00am. Very friendly and was in and out with my 3 way light dimmer switch problem. I would highly recommend. 10/10 would use them again. Also reasonable price per hour.

As a real estate broker, investor and small developer, Chuck and his team are excellent in what they do and the expertise that they have. Electric work is not trivial and can cause loss of life if not done correctly by a licensed master! We love Calhoun's Electric!

My smoke detector was beeping and keeping me up at night. Calhoun talked me into swapping them all out and I agreed. I warned him that my house was messy and he said it was ok. I have disabilities and during this time of Covid19 have found it difficult to find someone to come in to help me. Because of same, I could not take the battery out to stop the beeping. I thought all was set with Calhoun and then he told me because I lived so far out in Rio Rancho (where he also lives) that he might have to charge me travel time. Then he also said it would likely take 1 1/2 hour. He didn’t show up as expected and I was already on the phone with another company while waiting for him, who I eventually did hire. When I called asking where he was, he asked if I had to go somewhere. Very unprofessional, in my opinion. I expect someone to show up when they say they will and not assume that I have all the time in the world - especially with non stop beeping going on. He finally showed up and then said the place was too messy to work in and left. I asked if he could at least stop the beeping (by taking the battery out) and he said he would have to charge me. Real nice guy (sarcasm). I could not get another company to come until the next day because of his BS and delays. They showed up on time, wearing a mask (which he did not have) and with a ladder and drill (which he also did not bring to the door.) The electrician swapped out 4 smoke detectors in less than half hour. He said he has seen many messy homes like mine, which made me feel a bit better about what had happened the day before with Calhoun. They came from Albuquerque and said the clock didn’t start ticking until they started work. That is, no charge for travel time even coming from Albuquerque to Rio Rancho. I read another review of Calhoun somewhere from someone with cancer who also claimed Calhoun took advantage of him, charging him for 6 hours of supposedly buying parts before starting work. Buyer beware - there are much better and more professional electricians out there.

Chuck Calhoun is a Master Electrician. He single handily completed the electrical wiring in our new 2300 square foot home for Zachary and Sons Homes. 3 years later after a landscape company overloaded our outside circuit and none of the outside outlets worked, he helped me successfully troubleshoot the problem over the phone. Chuck followed up the next day. He saved us a few hundred dollars resolving this issue.

This guy is amazing! He was able to fix my problem over the phone at no charge! He was nice, professional and patient as he walked me through the steps to help me solve my own issue. Highly recommend!!!

Called Chuck this morning Monday at 8:00 as our dryer had no power from the 220v outlet. The dryer had been moved during a plumbing issue and when plugged back in, nada, nothing worked. The house is thirty years old and previous owners had nothing listed on the electric box switches! This service was wonderful, Chuck was able to diagnose and guide my husband over the phone to identify the correct breaker switch to turn off and on in sequence. This corrected our problem!

Calhoun's electric is a top notch operation. I have worked with them for many years and can't say enough good things about their quality of workmanship and a a great price point. They did some new circuits for me and you would think that they were original to the house.

Called in the evening on a Friday about some electrical issues I thought I was having. Chuck told me what to look for and figured out there's nothing wrong. He even called me back about an hour later to make sure everything was still good. This was amazing customer service and showed a great deal of integrity. Charged me way too much for two outlets and a lighting fixture. Thats why it’s important to get 3-4 quotes. Read the reviews and took a chance. Nah, won’t ever call this dude again. Crossed checked with other electricians and was way overcharged. Thats on me!

Mr Calhoun was able to advise us on different things to try and we eventually were able to get outlets working and avoid the cost of him coming to house. Even though we called several times he was always kind and helpful.
