Called Mr. Calhoun for a quote on some electrical work. I have had bad experiences with contractors not answering their phone, being short and dismissive, not showing up on time or at all. Mr. Calhoun answered his phone, he was attentive, on time, and when he looked at what I needed done he knows what he is doing. I will use Mr. Calhoun if I need any other work done later. Excellent knowledge and advice.

I'm generally skeptical when it comes to getting contractors to working on things of mine because I've been taken advantage of before. In this case I'm really happy I reached out to Calhouns electric. Chuck was really proffesional and kind and helped me with my electric needs. He even went above and beyond by trying to save me money but talking me through the process of fixing it myself. Major appreciation and respect. Not only that but as I was shopping around multiple electrician contractors Calhouns has a fair affordable rate. I can honestly say I think I found my new GO-TO electrician.

Calhoun's Electric was great. Came promptly the morning after my call, diagnosed and fixed my electrical issue. Also felt treated with Courtesy and respect during the process. Super knowledgeable, solved both my issues in the same visit and fair pricing, all I was looking for in an electrician.

I have spent the last couple of days trying to figure out why the GFI’s for my Christmas lights didn’t have any power. I have lived in my home for 10 years and never had a problem. I finally threw the towel in and called Calhoun Electrical. Chuck answered the phone, which surprised me. I told him my problem, he asked me a few questions. He then said that he always installs a switch ahead of the receptacles. I told him I didn’t have a switch. After moving some boxes, there it was, a switch just like he said. He solved my problem without even coming out, He could have just came out and charged me a service call, but he solved it over the phone. To me that really shows the type of Company Calhoun Electrical is. I will not hesitate referring them in the future. Thank you, Chuck

I’m very happy to have found Calhoun Electric in Rio Rancho. They came out to install a motion sensor in my garage and replaced the batteries in my fire alarm units. They were prompt, professional and courteous. Everything is working great. Calhoun Electric is the company I will definitely call the next time I need electrical work done in my home. He helped me by letting me know what was needed and where to get it. He also followed up to make sure my install went well. No charge for just some free advice and help over the phone.

Just a few comments about Calhoun's Electric

As it happened, yesterday my ovens and lighting throughout the home were dead; needless to say I was in desperate need of power. I called Calhoun's electric and was amazed by the skills and prompt actions taken by Calhoun that helped me trouble shoot my lack of power issue by phone.

I am writing this review to say to anyone who needs electric work, has power issues with breakers, or needs someone to troubleshoot electrical issues you may be having, so call Calhoun's Electric. Chuck at Calhoun's electric is amazing. If I could give him a hundred stars I would surely do so.

I will close by once again emphasizing to folks who may need a good, honest electrician, to Call Calhouns before you call anyone else. He helped me get my power back on a weekend--by walking me through steps to take to get my power back on. What a great relief to have power again. If anyone is reading this review has an electrical issue at your home, I strongly suggest you call Calhoun's electric. He is a straight shooter--an honest tradesman. You will not be disappointed.

Great service. He worked with me over the phone trying to fix my issue and not charge me. When he came over, he was extremely helpful I'm looking for the problem. Offered great options and was not focused on making money, but taking care of me. Greatly appreciated his service.

Canceled my appointment because I didn’t respond within an hour to his 7:30 AM text message. No prior warning that this was a policy. Not even an offer to reschedule it. Good thing I didn’t do anything silly like plan my day around a scheduled appointment.
