Constraction reviews in Amherst, New York

Dana and his team were wonderful to work with. We got a new roof, new siding, gutters and soffits along with exterior doors. They were professional, friendly and they performed quality work. We will call on them for all home improvement projects in the future. I would recommend them to anyone

Excellent crew, very organized. Showed up on time, worked hard through freezing temperatures and finished siding the whole house in three days. We did a walk around with the boss when job was done and everything looked great.

My employer, neighbor, and sister have all used Home Improvement Center. It was a no brainer who we would call for a garage roof. Thanks Dave, Mike, and roofing crew for doing a great job.

Home Improvement Center installed siding and new doors on my house and I ouldn't be happier with the results and the price. The entire experience was amazing. I can't say enough about the whole crew and the job they did. Every individual was courteous, respectful, friendly, and professional. Attention to detail was one of the most impressive issues in the job they did. I would recommend the Home Improvement Center to anyone ! Thanks, HIC for a job well done !

The process from the estimate through ordering the materials and keeping us informed of the progress along with any changes to materials as well as pricing was communicated to us very well. Then the crews were great with their customer relations and work ethic. They went right to work from delivery and unloading of materials, stripping the house, to preparing the house for the new siding , windows and doors, and then installing the new look of our home. Also I don’t want to forget about cleaning up after themselves. Thank you very much guys. We have been constantly getting comments of how awesome the house looks.

The only company you should call for exterior work. Dana was referred by a friend and we couldn't be happier we decided to work with him and his team. Very fair pricing, excellent communication from start to finish and high standards. They did our entire garage roof in one day and made sure to come back and inspect the work several days later. This company will be our first and only call for exterior work moving forward.

Home Improvement Center recently completed a job at our home. We had the siding replaced, all of the trim recovered, and new gutters installed. The completed work looks fantastic! Dana, (the owner), was very easy to work with. He is friendly, considerate, and trustworthy. The job took 2-3 weeks to complete, because the crew was working through some very bad weather, and Dana was at the site on a daily basis. He could be contacted by text or phone whenever you needed to talk to him. His crew worked very hard, in particular, Chris, who showed quality workmanship in covering all of the trim and siding. Dave and his crew did a great job on the tear off, taking care not to rip up the lawn even though the yard was like a swamp. In the past, this company also replaced our roof and windows, and did a quality job at that time as well. I would definitely recommend this company.

This week, Home Improvement Center replaced our roof. The entire job was completed in less than 8 hours, and that included clean-up!
The crew was very hard working and professional. The owner, Dana, was very easy to work with. Home Improvement Center replaced our first roof 20 years ago. They have also replaced our windows, gutters and siding in the past. Dana is honest and responsive, and his crews are professional. I would recommend this company!

The Home improvement center has been to our home for a couple jobs over the past year. Dana and the crew are very trustworthy and clean. Every job is done with honesty and precision. I was referred once for the roofing repair about a year ago and now I wouldn't trust anyone else. Great company, great people, great results!

Our experience with The Home Improvement was excellent from start to finish. Beginning with meeting with Josh for info and estimates to beginning work right on schedule! The crew was fantastic, courteous in every way and knew their trade very well! We were not only impressed with workmanship but everyday cleanup as well.
Our job has been complete only a few days and already we have received many compliments on a well done job! We would highly recommend them to anyone!
Thank you for making this siding project a simple, no stress, well done project for us!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I didn't know who to call or whom I could trust. My neighbor's father gave me Dana's number and I sure am glad I called him. Fantastic work, great people...Thanks again.

This company was recommended through a coworker. Workers came in a team and were excellent. They played with my dogs, moved quickly, and worked efficiently. At the end, they showed me how to remove windows from the track and put them back on. Overall, excellent experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone getting new windows put in. Thank you all so much for your hard work and generosity. Everything you guys did, is genuinely appreciated.
Thanks again, and God Bless.

Home Improvement Center just finished siding our home and installing a new bow window. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They were here everyday with a smile. Their work was superb. They did everything we asked and more in a timely manner. Extremely professional. You will not be disappointed if you choose this company.

My wife and I were referred to Dana and Home Improvement Center by a friend that was very pleased with the roof work they recently had completed on their home. We previously had las many as three leaking skylights, rotted boards, a double roof installed incorrectly and some really cheap shingles, unbeknownst to us when we purchased the house, but Home Improvement Center fixed all of that and then some!

We solicited 3 offers from local roofing companies. Without question, HIC check marked all the boxes and was undoubtedly the right choice. The owner, who took the lead on this one due to some of the complexities of our problems and on account of how particular my wife and I are, was always accessible, informative, engaging, knowledgeable, and forthright in regards to expectations, challenges, and the overall process.

The crew was professional and cleaned up each evening. They were courteous, on time, and took a cohesive approach to the job at hand. I definitely appreciated how they put in a normal work day, didnt work sunrise to sunset and therefore came to the job site refreshed and energized. Not being over worked leads to a better result. Sure there are companies that can tear a roof off in a day and slap the new one on before dark, but ask yourself if you really want speed over assured quality if speed has a strong chance of leading to inferior results...

for us we certainly appreciated the attention to detail and the idea that the crew was not rushing and working as much as possible simply to get to the next roof. Time is money for everyone, however, the approach of Dana and his team provided us with a strong confidence that this roof was being put on with care, precision and expertise and they werent focused on the next homes roof repair while they were still working on ours.

I would recommend this company to my closest family and friends without hesitation. With so many roofing companies out there it can be difficult to choose which few to give an opportunity to provide a quote, but of the 3 or 4 that might make the cut, be sure Home Improvement Center is on that list. Sure they wont secure every job, but you would be doing the process of finding a quality roofing company and owner a disservice by overlooking them.

Many thanks, Dana, and do keep in touch!

I had my roof done, gutter guards installed and other small jobs by them! Great customer service! Awesome job on everything done! I highly recommend them for your roofing job! I love my new roof! Dana is a pleasure to work with! His crews are great guys too!

As it happens, re-siding a nearly 100 year old house, it's a lot of work.

I did have to shop around and of the four businesses I had look at my house, Home Improvement Center was my pick. Truthfully they were not the cheapest one, but were able to provide a high quality product in the form of the monogram CertainTeed line of siding. Josh P who came out to give an estimate on the house, took the most time and care when looking at the job to be done. This was pretty reassuring, knowing they were taking the time to give an accurate price, which would include all of the many tasks to be done.

There was removal of the old siding, house wrap, a fan fold insulation barrier, capping of all 31 windows and 3 doors, new soffits, new gutters, remaking two small exterior access doors, and even the front of the garage was covered over.

Throughout the process the people working on our house were courteous, and friendly. They would readily ask questions about my preference that I was happy to address, though they would have been entirely self sufficient had I not been available.

I'm sure we would all like something this dollar intensive to be done quickly, the job took just as long as advertised, even given a holiday break, and some less then ideal weather.

I think the house came out great, and we are feeling secure in our choice of their services.

We were having issues with our flat roof stability. Dana advised us that we could wait until next year if we wanted, but we decided to proceed this year. The work was completed in a single day, including clean-up! The staff was very professional and on time! The quality of their work was excellent, and the problem has been solved!

Home Improvement Center installed vinyl siding, trim and gutters on our house and detached garage and stone vinyl siding on our aluminum porch. Josh is a fantastic guy to work with. Came out to give us an estimate. Very friendly, professional and responded quickly to any communications. He also came out to check on the job every day during the project. Matt, Chris, Jay and the other workers were very professional and courteous. Very pleasant guys to talk to. They did an awesome job and the work on our porch far exceeded our expectations. I can't say enough about these guys and the awesome job they did. Highly recommend Home Improvement Center. We are having them install storm doors next.

The friendly and professional crew did a fantastic job on my new siding. They took their time and didn’t rush the process. They had a “clean as you go” mindset and left the worksite tidy at the end of every day. I really appreciate the little details, like putting up the new doorbell, lights and address numbers. Those finishing touches mean a lot. They also did a complete tear off of my garage roof. It looks fantastic!

In terms of price, I called for several quotes, Home Improvement Center had the best price range and choices for what I wanted that were within my budget.

Communication was clear and concise throughout the job process. I would recommend Home Improvement Center for your siding and roofing needs!

We couldn’t be any more pleased with the finished project of our home. Roof, siding, gutters, doors, bay window and rebuild of side entrance hall. Josh was extremely patient and responsive with all the questions and concerns. His team was wonderful to have around for the three week project. Very professional and went above and beyond each day. If you’re looking to do some renovations on your home do yourself a favor and call them. You won’t be disappointed!

Home improvement center does a fantastic job! The owner Dana was very easy to work with and explained everything in great detail. His crew is extremely courteous and very clean. They treated our house like it was their own. They added a lot of extra details that made it look even better. We were surprised by how clean everything was at the end of teardown and at the end of each day. We are very happy that we booked with home improvement center and highly recommend.

It's hard to rate Crist Contracting since they never showed up...
