I hired TLC for tree removal. They were great to work with, highly recommend.

I have been receiving saving offers for awhile now from my water company, on the purchase of a Rachio3 sprinkler controller. My rain sensor has never worked properly, new batteries in them or not? My sprinklers would go on if there was 3 feet of rain coming down!
Rachio is Wi-Fi, and works from your smart phone or computer, and claims to save water and money for it's consumers!
Before I bought the Rachio3, I asked them for some names of companies who would install the controller, one of the names they gave me was TOTAL LANDSCAPE in Bellmore NY.
Before buying the Rachio3, I called TOTAL LANDSCAPE and asked how much to install? They gave me what I thought a reasonable price and I agreed to have them install the Rachio3 for me. I was told they are busy and the job would be done in a couple of weeks from now. I said fine, I will go ahead and order the controller and I would let them know when I receive it.
When I received the controller, I called TOTAL LANDSCAPE and spoke to the same woman. She told me they would install it by the end of next week, I said great!
Well, next week came and went, and NOTHING! No phone call from this company letting me know anything! This week I called twice and left messages trying to find out what is happening? I even said in my message "if you cannot do the job please let me know and I will call someone else! "
NOTHING, no response what soever!
What kind of a company does that to a potential customer? Not a good caring company in my book, for sure! If you're to busy, just say so, don't leave people hanging!
The Rachio company says it's easy to install yourself? My problem is I'm a handicapped Senior Citizen and it's very hard for me to go up and down stairs to my basement where the sprinkler controller is.
For a company to LEAVE a customer hanging, not knowing if your coming or not is just WRONG! To not answer messages left by a customer is ALSO WRONG!
In my opinion, anyone looking to do business with this company should think twice, and look for another company as I am doing!

I only have great things to say about Old Mill Nursery! As people pass our home, they always compliment us on our landscaping. Old Mill planned out all of the plants with me, making sure I got what I liked and what would look good with our house. They always do our Spring & Fall clean up. The men are very respectful and do a great job! It is always my pleasure to recommend them.

I started going to Old Mill as they had higher quality plants and flowers than most stores in the area. Upon visiting I found out they also offer planting and irrigation services.

They offer fair prices on planting and any issues encountered they are quick to respond to and resolve.

Ultimately I trust Old Mill to perform the job to my satisfaction and to quickly resolve any issues encountered.

Their partners/subcontractors in the stump/tree grinding business are honest and offered advice as opposed to just taking on a job that didn’t make sense affording me better options and a plan forward.

The fall discount is also a great addition and one worth taking advantage of.

I plan on using Old Mill again and may consider exploring some of their additional services outside of landscaping and irrigation in the future

Old Mill was wonderful. They came and changed the entire look of my home. John came to the house and met with me personally and listened to what I wanted my house to look like. He came up with the perfect landscape design and I couldn’t be happier. The backyard is an oasis to escape and the front yard looks neat, clean and inviting. One tree flowers with a beautiful pink flower and the perfect accent to the house. I absolutely love the level of care and dedication the team has to ensuring I am always satisfied with all of the work they complete. I highly recommend Old Mill Nurseries for all landscaping needs.

We had Old Mill come to my house to tighten up multiple things in my backyard, including all of our shrubbery and plants. I couldn’t believe the amount of work they got done in two days. Customer service is fantastic, John is really nice, available and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend!

I have been using this company for 10 years for shrub trimming and mulch and am extremely happy. Staff are conscientious and responsive. Wouldn’t use anyone else.

Excellent selection with great service and with a very fair price. Brian did a great job with the Sprinkler system. John Designed the landing just the way we wanted. All there workers were very respectful to my property and cleaned up nicely.

Old Mill Nursery is a wonderful one stop shop for landscaping, flowers, tree trimming, mulch and beautiful trees and shrubs! John is a friendly and personable fellow who provides great advice with a quality product. We have purchased several trees over the past few years that have grown beautifully! Old Mill also offers a service to maintain trees and shrubs with competitive pricing that we have used and our yard has never looked so beautiful. We also buy our flowers here each spring, and the quality is second to none! Old Mill is a wonderful nursery with a great selection and knowledgeable sales people. Great little store with wonderful sales people. We are buying a new red bud in the spring, and will be visiting again shortly. Best nursery in Nassau County!

I'm so happy I called Old Mill after seeing their truck on the highway. In two days, I had mulch delivered. It's pretty high quality with no debris in it or anything. The price was fair and I had no idea they do landscape design, so I'll get a quote on that in there spring for my backyard. I'm thrilled and everyone was so kind on the phone. Thank you soooo much. We appreciate you all.

I hope people will read this review because i truly cannot say enough about Old Mill Nursery. I just had artificial turf installed in my yard and Chris and his wonderful staff knocked it out of the park!!! I highly recommend this very professional, knowledgeable company with customer service as there top priority. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

We’ve been working with old mill for the past 4 years and throughout this time they have shown professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail in all phases of our projects. Most recently, one of our transplanted trees toppled over and the team was there within the day to re-stake it. John, is very hands on and comes on-site often to make sure everything is to plan. We are looking forward to working again with John and the team soon.

Old Mill Nurseries has done several jobs at my home including pruning existing shrubs, new plantings & sod. They are easy to contact, reliable & reasonably priced. I trust all their recommendations on new landscaping especially what plants work best in each part of the yard. Their workers are neat and respectful. I recommend them highly.

The entire experience was a pleasure. The office staff, the landscaping crew and our designer, Patrick, were all responsive, " professional and courteous. I had a specific vision of what I wanted the property to look like and Patrick created exactly what I had hoped for!

We had artificial turf installed in our back yard. We went back and forth on doing it for a couple of years due to the cost.

But about 6 months later we are so happy that we did it and are loving it everyday, it now feels like our living room has been extended to the outside.

They did a great job, highly recommended.
