I would highly recommend Excelon. I had a problem with my cornice and it required repair. I also had a squirrel get into the attic via the holes in the damaged cornice. Excelon closed up any holes and repaired and painted the entire cornice. All done within a weekend.

They performed a smooth surface stucco job over wavy stucco on a two story building after power-washing and prepping the surface as well as custom coloring. They also did work on a fire escape and cornice for some reconditioning which was to remove flaky surfaces, sand, prime and paint. They do very good work at a reasonable price.

Excelon construction checked all the boxes for me after spending weeks vetting out a contractor to perform restoration work on my brownstone. The first box is experience. I visited their previous jobs and current job sites to see their workmanship. Being just a DIY'er, I looked for small things like cleanliness, attention to detail, safety equipment to protect workers and homeowners from liability and protecting properties of neighbors while working.

The second box is written contract. They provided a formal proposal listing the scope of work and itemizing the materials they will be using and an insurance certificate protecting the homeowner as a loss payee on their insurance policy. Not all contractors are insured even though they claim to be. They provided me the insurance certificate without me asking.

The third box is communication; one of my favorites. I've dealt with contractors that went MIA after paying the down payment or they will start a job and their workers will go missing for weeks because they kept taking on more work. Sajin was always responsive by phone and SMS before, during and after the work was completed.

The final box is price. The least important when you're searching for a quality contractor that will do the job right. I've received cheaper quotes but the other companies were skipping out on a lot of time-consuming prep work that must be done but they didn't mention it and I didn't know about it until I spoke with Excelon Construction. The pricing was beyond fair for a company that checks all the boxes for me.

I did my extensive homework so you that you didn't have to. Sajin is now my go-to contractor for all my home improvement needs.

We hired Excelon to redo our side walk. They were quick with the estimate. We were kept informed about status of the applied for permit and work schedule. When the day came for the work they were extremely thorough. The work was done with great quality, care and without any issue.

Hired Excelon to do some renovations in my apartment. They provided me with a plan in terms of pricing that I can choose from to fit my budget. I recently had a big job completed with extensive repair to the cornice
atop my brownstone. The work was completed and primed in one day.
They returned the next week for a partial day to caulk and paint. Sajin and his crew were always prompt, efficient and courteous. Their work is excellent.

We hired Excelon to waterproof the rear façade of our four story brownstone. Sajin took the time to consider the scope of work and answer the many questions I had about additional sealing and waterproofing measures for our bay window.

After the first step of scraping the façade, it was evident that a lot of the brickwork needed to be repointed. They were incredibly thorough and upon discovering any wear and tear, beyond what might have been expected, took steps to properly repair it giving new life and beauty to the rear facade. They even painted the gutter to match the windows.

The team of three worked through the weekend to ensure that they could complete the project before a rainy spell and upcoming holiday. They were very careful, considerate, and quiet — taking measures to protect the house and our privacy as we were working from home.

We were so impressed we’re now considering them for an even larger restoration project.

Sajin speaks English very well and stays on the job with his workers. Quality work, fair price. After two days at my place two of my neighbors hired him to do the same work for them.
