Frank has been an excellent electrician to work with. Gave me a really good rating for the work and has done a phenomenal job at installing our light fixtures and advising us about our electrical needs in our new home. Couldn’t have asked for a better person to work with. He also taught us about the dos and don’ts about electrical wiring.

Stay far away from this company. Their pricing and business practices are completely unreasonable. The technician spent less than 10 minutes in my home — all he did was flip a breaker back on, remove the panel, and test the power. That’s it. No repairs, no parts, nothing that justifies a high charge.

They tried to bill me $350 for this extremely simple job. Only after I pushed back did they lower it to $200, which is still way too much. Their own policy says the service call fee should be waived if work is performed, but they still attempted to overcharge me anyway.

This company does not operate with transparency or fairness. In my experience, they take advantage of customers and inflate prices for minimal work. I’m leaving this review so people don’t get caught in the same situation. Do yourself a favor and avoid them.

Good service and prompt attention

NY City electric is the number one company if you want something done right. The owner is hands on and on top on everything. Their work is clean and done quick. I will definitely use them again.

I called Bulk after seeing the great work they did for a neighbour. These guys are everything you want in an electrician. Super responsive, very transparent pricing, turned up when they said they would, and very respectful of the house when doing the work. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend.

Scott is a great electrician. He installed new lights and dimmers. He and Boris worked really quickly and diligently. They were really responsive and came the next day.

So, CEL Electric now did their fifth project for me at my family's 125 yr old brownstone in Cobble Hill Brooklyn....this time we needed to replace a gas clothes dryer in our basement with an electric one. Bought the new unit, then realized we don't have an outlet with the right voltage to run the unit. Meanwile the unit is still in its box outside the house. Called Scott and within a few hours he was there with his assistant and unboxed it, slid it down the basement traps door (too big to fit down our stairs) and knocked out all of the wiring and connections in about an hour. To my astonishment, my daughter was doing laundry that night with no fumes from that nasty old gas dryer (mind you, I told her I thought it might be a few days before she could do her laundry). Could not be happier with their meticulous service, professionalism and punctuality...look no further !!!
