If you’re thinking of getting a new roof — go with someone else!! This place has caused my home and family more trouble than our ancient garbage roof ever did.

We were quoted for a new roof on our home in April 2025 and work began soon after. The workers had total disregard for our property. They stomped across our front garden, left their empty cans in our children’s sandbox, and left nails just all over. They also smashed and snapped a huge limb off of our lilac bush (I watched them do this carelessly). They left extra pieces of roofing on the roof that blew off into the yard as well as a significant amount of nails on top of the roof of our porch. I understand the work can be messy, but this seemed outrageous. I was picking nails off our driveway for months afterward.

The real issues started this winter. We live in Colden, NY and are used to harsh winters with an old roof. However, you’d think after almost $30k for a brand new roof you wouldn’t have to worry about leaking/ insane ice issues on it.

We have had leaking in the past that we were told would be remedied with the new roof. Instead, the leaking has been significantly worse this year causing more damage through our walls and ceilings.

The first time they sent a repairman out to address the issue I was not asked if we were home or if they could come on the property. They called and told me (again, not asked) they’d be at our house in 20 minutes. While I appreciate the quick response, I am a SAHM with two littles and really did not feel comfortable receiving a call that someone would be coming into my home while I was home by myself. In addition to this, they gave the repairman the wrong address and he ended up stuck in my neighbor’s driveway which was completely torn up when they pulled him out. The repairman did nothing but take photos of the house and shrug. He told me he couldn’t do anything because the amount of ice on the roof would further damage it.

The second time this happened, he took a ladder up to look at the issue and told us it was because of the siding. Our siding is old, however we are not convinced the siding is the issue. He found more pieces of roof that’d blown off in our yard and told us he was going to leave to reshape them and come back later that day to reattach them. He never came back, and we never heard from anyone again.

The gentlemen who did the front of my house was awesome, I have no complaints only great things to say, they did a excellent job on the Tando stone siding on the front of my home, they walked me throw everything, they even worked during single degree weather and it was freezing over the last few days. They cleaned up all the nails, and even brought there own dumpster. My home looks total different and beautiful. Thank you Stellar

Had mike come out for an estimate. Said he would email it that day. I called 4 times and sent an email over the next week and have received no response. This is not the only review that has had this problem.

Great people. Very easy to work with, roof looks great and they did it in 1 day. As a first time homeowner ive never had to deal with anything like this but honestly they made it VERY easy. Highly recommend

Stay away. Worst contractor I've ever dealt with. Missed over 5 appointments with not even a phone call. Constantly made promises they would end up breaking. Didn't seem to have any process for tracking or keeping appointments. Charged for "fixes" which didn't fix anything. Went with another roofer and am much happier now. Don't waste your time or money here, go elsewhere.

I contracted with Martin Roofing for a complete reroofing. They asked for full payment in late fall, assuring me they would return in the spring to complete the project. When spring came, they demanded an additional $5000 to finish the work. Unbelievable

I called Martin Roofing twice for an estimate. each time I was assured by a friendly female representative that I would receive a call back from "Mike" to my cellphone. I regularly checked my phone for missed calls and checked my voice mail for messages but ..........nothing. Guess they don't need/want my business.

This is the 2nd house that I have used Martin roofing for. I couldn't be happier honest assessment of job and they were very professional and fast with their work. I would recommend them to anyone needing roofing.

Who did you evict? Please show me the papers. We CHOSE not to renew our lease because your building was falling apart. Stink bugs, lady bugs and mice were becoming a problem and your advice.... put everything in Tupperware. Laundry machines didn't work for almost a year (still not fixed when we left) and the only apartment to see any updates was the landlords sister.

The staff is rude, the owner is a cheap skate. Wouldn't trust a thing they say or do. The business is failing and he is selling it so they've gotten even worse if that's possible.

Myself and my family have used Martin Roofing for many years. Most recently my daughter bought a house and needed to have the roof and chimney repaired. Mr. Martin showed up as scheduled and fully explained what would have to be done. His men completed the job in a timely manner, were clean cut and professional. . There have been no issues with the work that was completed and I would highly recommend this company.

Dave and Martin roofing did a wonderful job on our roof! The team finished our complete tear off and new roof in two days! They made sure the weather would be rain free before they started -and they also did a good job on the clean up!

Martin Services did outstanding work in getting my roof replaced.

From day 1 they were courteous , thorough and professional. Don’t find those traits much anymore. Always returned calls and text promptly. Showed up on time and completed work as promised. New roof looks outstanding. They Spent 2 hours cleaning debris and nails! The place looked like they were never there, except for the new roof!

Contacted Martin roofing for an estimate on my moms roof. That was the beginning of the best decision made. Dave promptly came down to look at the roof and soon provided an estimate. After agreeing to the price the work was done within a week. The job was done in a day, that is after Dave made sure to have tarps put on weak spots before the job was started (bonus). Crew was wonderful and the roof and chimney look stellar. To end this review the bottom line is....we made a great decision going with Martin Roofing. Again, ty Dave.

I reached out to this company after noticing unusual odors, and their team handled everything professionally. The chimney inspection revealed buildup and minor damage that required Chimney repair. Brian explained the situation clearly and got to work right away. The Chimney cleaning was thorough, and I could tell they didn’t rush the job. They also took care of mold cleaning, which made a big difference in the overall freshness of the space.
