Subject: Formal Complaint / Experience with Stellar Roofing (Holland, NY) I am writing this to advise others against using Stellar Roofing. My experience has been defined by poor workmanship, a lack of documentation, and an unprofessional response to serious property damage. January 2025: Initial Installation my girlfriend contacted Stellar regarding a minor leak. We were advised that a full roof replacement—at a cost of $20,000—was the only permanent solution and would prevent any future issues. Despite our questions about the insulation, we were assured the new roof would resolve all concerns. January 2026: Catastrophic Failure One year later, the house is experiencing severe leaking in every single room. After a week of waiting for a response, Stellar initially dismissed the issue as "ice damming." Upon further persistence, they sent a second technician who discovered that the original 2025 crew had failed to vent a pipe through the . this error caused water to pool around the pipe and eventually causes water damage Current Status: Lack of Accountability While Stellar sent a crew on January 28th to "fix" the original mistake, they provided zero documentation of the work performed. Since that visit, the leaking has actually worsened. When I contacted the company to resolve this, the response was dismissive. I was told that "this kind of stuff just happens," which is unacceptable for a $20,000 new roof. As of today, I am still waiting for a credible plan to repair the roof and the resulting drywall damage. Conclusion Stellar Roofing either misdiagnosed our initial problem or failed to execute a standard installation. Either way, they have not stood behind their work or treated the home with respect. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your roofing needs.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of working with Stellar Roofing for our roof replacement. Sales person Jared performed a through inspection of the existing roof (while professionally dressed), provided a comprehensive presentation, and presented a fair price for a full rip off replacement using quality materials. The scheduling communication process was seamless. We got an earlier date than expected and all the materials arrived on time and the roll off was delivered with care. Project Manager James Berek went above and beyond to keep me informed during the replacement and gave detailed explanations as to what was occurring while the work was being done. And provided a full photo gallery of the entire project once completed. Lastly, I cannot say enough about Wilmer Juarez and his crew who completed the job in a day and a half. The workmanship is impeccable. The 10 man crew worked very long the first day and beat the rain on the 2nd. When I arrived home after the job was completed there was no sign that they were ever there and I was left with a beautiful roof. My property was spotlessly cleaned up! No sign of any debris from the very large project! The only negative that I had with Stellar was the high pressure tactics to sign the day I received the proposal, but we worked through that and came to agreement. The result speaks for itself as all my neighbors are commenting on how great the new roof looks. Thank you to the entire Stellar Roofing team.

My roof replacement included complete tear off and replacement was accomplished in one day. Amazing! Crew showed up at the appointed time and went right to work. The crew was constantly cleaning my neighbors driveway which I was extremely happy about. Have one issue with a small section of siding that needs to be correctly placed on my dormer. NICE JOB

Not cheap, but the work speed/quality was impressive and I believe you get what you pay for. A couple of small items taken care of by Tony Gonzales, our project manager, afterwards, but that has been it. For all the many nails they picked up after the job, I picked up hundreds more after they had left. Thank God they are not in my mower. So far the roof is still on through these raging winds! Quality product and work putting it on. Aside from me reaching out to them, I’m surprised I never heard back from the company for feedback till now (almost 5 months) Too busy apparently?Nonetheless I would recommend them based on their professionalism and quality of work.

They replaced our shingles. The ones we had lasted 22 years. Hopefully these fare just as well. The team was on time, polite and very professional. Clean up was thorough. Matthew was our project manager. Everything was smooth and we are happy with the results.

We recently hired Stellar for a complete roof replacement, and we are happy with the results. The crew worked diligently to complete the entire tear-off and installation in one day. During the follow-up inspection minor damage was identified, which Stellar repaired in good faith. Now that we have a Stellar roof, we feel more safe and secure during bad weather. The roof has withstood the recent high winds beautifully. Based on the quality of the materials, the warranty terms, and the follow-through of the employees, we recommend Stellar Roofing.
