Everything went very well. The crew was on time, did the work as expected, and cleaned up all the debris. The trimming was professionally done and looks great. I would definitely use them again.

My neighbor informed me about Davey Tree Company and I had one of the agents Mark comes to give me an estimate on cutting a tree in my house and grinding the stump down to the ground. The same job my neighbor was quoted for. He came over and I had initially some stones around my tree, to which he said if you remove it we will grind the stump down, to which I said I will take the stones out by the time workers are there so the stump could be removed. I mentioned to him I am going to redo the lawn and at that time I do not want the stump to be a problem , to which he agreed as well. When the write was given to me I was fooled, as it said cut stump down to low as possible, which to me meant as discussed with Mark grinding it down. Once the job was completed stump was not grinded down, when I called him he said that contract didn't say grinding down the stump, but I said we had the whole discussion about it and that's what I wanted and agreed to. At the end, I HAVE TO PAY $100 MORE TO GET STUMP REMOVED, $50 MORE QUOTED THAN MY NEIGHBOR. In this time of economic hardship these things can stretch your budget. When these people come don't get fooled by the tactics they use to get your attention away from actual write up. People tend to take advantage of your lack of knowledge of what a specific term means, like "grinding down" and "cutting it low".Please read carefully and only agree if it matches what has been discussed. I will not hire them again as I am extremely upset.

Thanks to Chris, the Arborist, who, along with his crew, did an excellent job cutting back my Pear tree from 50 feet tall to 25 feet tall. It even looks good and is much more fitting in our neighborhood now- and not such a danger! We can now put solar panels on our roof, too.

Called and asked for an arborist to evaluate my two 25 year old Kwanzan cherry trees and my 20 year old white spuce as to the need for pruning and shaping. The man they sent was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I was satisfied with the cost and ultimately with the work. I would recommend them to anyone in the area that needs tree work done that is beyond the scope of their own ability.

Davey Tree is a great company: highly professional, friendly, always ready to accommodate your schedule, and superb at what they do. I feel very lucky that they're taking care of our trees now.

I've used this company 3 or 4 times on my overgrown property. They have removed 3 VERY large trees with no problems at all. Even made sure their equipment didn't damage my lawn.

Hired Davey Tree for leaf borer infestation and fungus problems that were impacting my specimen trees. They developed a remedial treatment and annual maintenance plan that have saved my trees. Technicians are competent, courteous, knowledgeable and punctual . I highly recommend this company.

The Care of Trees removed three large Spruce trees as well as some Privet hedge for us recently. They were on time, on task, skilled, and thorough. They also made sure they cleaned up the yard completely when they were done. They were professional in every way, and we would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Excellent company to work with! The three men assigned to my property were so pleasant, accommodating and did a fantastic job. Cleaned and removed about a quarter acre of tree debris. Highly recommend.

Hired Davey Tree again to remove a tree stump and, just like my previous experience with them, the team was responsive, professional and relentless (with the stump). The crew that showed up were professional and beyond talented; and despite being situated in an awkward location, the stump didn’t stand a chance. I’m also impressed with the level of communication that occurs, not just to the customer, but at every internal level—-every one knew what was going on with the project at every step of the way. Would give 10 stars if I could!

I had problems with my trees! Frank came out and inspected them, found the problem, had them treated and now they look fantastic. He was prompt, very professional and extremely knowledgeable! Highly recommend using Davey! 10/10 stars!

Do Not use Davey Tree as they are only Expert at dropping the ball. Had them remove a tree, they left it on the ground for weeks, never cleaned up properly, never responded to calls or email to remedy damage. After five months of never responding, they opted to put me in collections.. Interested only in getting their money not rendering good customer service to someone who used them for many years

Matt and the Davey team were professional and courteous. They did an expert analysis of my property needs and executed the maintenance. In particular, they skillfully trimmed a large magnolia greatly enhancing the appearance.

Removing a mature Maple Tree in NYC with access only through the house is not easy, but Davey's crew made it look effortless. They were incredible to watch removing massive limbs over neighbors property safely and securely--- bringing a 50 ft tree, piece by piece, through a single family NYC home leaving not a trace of it behind. If i had more trees I would hire them again without a second thought. Really cant say enough about how professional and precise these guys were. 5 stars is not enough.

I used Davey for tree trimming services and they did an average job but the reason for the poor rating was that I also paid them to lay mulch. Unfortunately for me the mulch was infested with springtail bugs who were all inside my house. After calling them to see if they could remove the mulch, I never heard back. Clearly shows they don’t standby their work. Oh well, I just definitely won’t be using them again. Luckily I learned that my current landscaper actually prunes trees much better anyway.

A very knowledgeable crew that took great care trimming several old trees and removing one very large one. Great clean up after. They were friendly and were not rushing off to the next job, answering all my questions and giving me great advice on how to care for all the trees on my property. I highly recommend them.

Greg, an arborist and the manager at our local Davey’s office, reviewed the trees on our heavily wooded property and produced a plan to keep us safe and to improve our trees. The work described below was a step in that process.

This is the fifth time I have used Davey to do work on my property. The latest task was a complex one involving the removal of a very large and heavily damaged tree, located in the immediate area of power lines. The job demanded the use of a crane and a large bucket truck that had to work over the top of the power lines. Safety required the staff to close a road for which they needed to install signs and appropriate warning devices. They even made special provision so the trash haulers and mail carrier could pass through the area safely when they arrived, helping us to avoid further disruptions for our neighbors.

Overall, things could not have gone better. As always the staff from Davey arrived on time, worked in a professional, yet amazing manner, and left the area clean when the job was done. We will certainly work with them again in the future.

I have used Care of Trees which was later bought by Davey Tree for many years and found them to be knowledgeable, pleasant to work with, and reliable. There is no pressure to do anything unnecessary. A tree was struck by lightning during a hurricane and fell on my house causing severe damage and they were there the next morning assessing, and the following day removed it, bringing in a huge crane to do so. Very thorough as always, they left no debris to clean up.

Davey came to take a look at some trees that were not thriving, all summer they were cared for with special treatments and then in Fall pruned and trimmed and they will begin to thrive again come Spring!

The arborists and crew were so caring, knowledgeable and respectful.
They were incredibly clean and not a twig was out of place or left behind. They also shared their expertise with some decisions we had to make and was grateful for their experience. Will 100% use their services again and thankful they are a local business that cares!!!

I am thrilled with the job that was done. I had three trees trimmed, a limb removed from another tree and a Yew hedge trimmed. The work was completed in one morning. The crew arrived on time, set to work, listened to my concerns, cleaned up all the debris and did a beautiful job. It gave new life to my fall garden. Also, the work order was so detailed and clearly written that it was very easy to check to make sure everything got done to specifications. The tree work done has truly made my garden a thing of beauty. I am so grateful. It was money well spent.

My overall experience with Davey Tree Expert Company was outstanding. Jake Craven gave me a reasonable quote, at a better rate than all of the competitors, showed up on time, and the team of arborists who took care of a massive, twisted, gnarly trunk of a half rotten tree hanging over all the power/cable lines to the house was removed completely and there was no indication at all that anyone was on my property after the fact. Totally cleaned up the job, 5 Stars. Definitely recommend. Will hire again.
