My experience as a new customer with Brockman Tree & Lawn Service has been great! Wonderful people to do business with whether by phone, email or in person. Exceptional courtesy and sensitivity to customer's concerns. Jeanie is a wonderful person to deal with! And Jeremy, tech person is very able, & hard working & an asset to the company! I would wholeheartedly recommend Brockman Tree & Lawn Care for lawn care needs!

At one point our lawn was not looking so good nor our trees. We switched to Brockmann Tree and lawn service a while back and they balanced the PH of our lawn. We have been extremely happy ever since. Our lawn and trees look great! Kenny just left which made me think of posting this Google review.

Do not use Brockman unless you want them to destroy your lawn when performing services you did not actually schedule. Scummy practices, and no regard at all for the health of your lawn.

I first contacted Brockman to have my lawn aerated in the fall of 2020, as I was doing a bit of a renovation and I wanted to aerate before I dethatched, top dressed, and over seeded. I was on the schedule for that fall. Fast forward to early September, no aeration performed yet and I had not heard from them at all. I reached out to them as I wanted to get seed down and have enough time for it to grow enough before the frost, and the response was something along the lines of "we'll get to it when we get to it, we stop when the weather no longer allows us to perform". This was worrisome, but it was too late to contact any other company. More time passed, we were into the middle of September, and temperatures were dropping. I reached out again and received the same response back. I was starting to get really worried that I would not even be able to over seed at this point. Finally, on September 23, the aeration was performed. I was able to over seed, but the result was not as successful as if I was able to start a couple weeks earlier. In any case, I was not completely happy with the service and I had no intention of using Brockman again.

Fast forward to fall of 2021, I skipped aeration and over seeded in early September. Grass was growing and the lawn was filling up nicely. On October 22, Brockman showed up and aerated my lawn...I did not schedule this. Besides October 22 being way too late to perform something like this, it ruined most of my new grass that came in. On top of that, it had rained the day before, and the ground was extremely soft and wet -- so the heavy machinery being driven on my lawn absolutely destroyed a lot of it, leaving a ton of bare patches now that I will have to fill in. I immediately reached out to them, asked why this was even performed in the first place, and was told that aeration was an auto-renewing service -- but I was never made aware of that when I scheduled it in 2020. I was also told that their boss was out of town, and that I would receive a call first thing Monday morning to "make things right"...never heard back.

So unless that sounds like a good time to you, do not use Brockman.

I appreciated that Jeffery kept me informed as to when he was coming and what he had to do since areas of my lawn were too wet to do normally. And I always like that the signs Brockman puts up actually list the date and time. My only complaint is that because my lawn keeps getting healthier and healthier, it grows really fast and thick and I have to mow it a lot more often LOL 😆

Jeffery serviced my lawn again and was great as usual! I had some small piles of weeds and branches on my lawn that I couldn’t fit into garbage cans last week. I completely forgot about them and didn’t have time to do anything before he showed up this morning. I told him he could just spray around them but he just picked them up for me so he could get to the entire lawn. Greatly appreciated!

I was fortunate enough to have Jeffery take care of my lawn again. He always keeps me updated on what’s going on and when he’s going to be there. He said he would bump me up in his schedule for the day to avoid overlapping with some other workers I had coming the same day. They happened to show up a lot earlier than I was told they would so Jeffery offered to go take care of another job and come back when they were done. Greatly appreciated!

Excellent service as always! Jeffrey is polite and informative. I wasn’t sure if he’d be able to service my backyard today as I was not able to clean up the leaves much beforehand. But he was able to complete the task and told me what steps to take afterwards.

If you are looking for a lawn care service, DO NOT go with Brockman…. We’ve had them for over a year and our lawn looks worse than all of our neighbors who do nothing to treat theirs. We have dead patches of grass everywhere and I had them come out twice and they didn’t want to entertain my concerns, didn’t do anything to properly check - the guy just walked around and pulled up one piece of grass in our entire yard and just gave the excuse of too much heat and drought… even though I pulled 40 or more grubs from just one section of the yard to tell them this is probably the reason… they continued to tell me there was no sign of grub damage in our yard… and only want to communicate by email, not phone. They ignore calls, they have zero integrity, no accountability, impossible to work with… a nightmare. We have wasted so much money on this company. I avoid leaving bad reviews for companies at all costs but we have given them way too many chances to make things right and they failed miserably.

Stop driving around with your bright bed lights on, it’s messed up and blinding everyone behind you. Your logo and phone number are on the side of the truck. It’s not safe, the only white lights generally permitted to face the rear are the license plate lamp (which must illuminate the plate) and backup lights (which can only be on when the vehicle is in reverse). The exception is emergency or hazard vehicles

Jeremy does a great job. Very efficient. He moves items if they are in the way instead of others that would just spray around them. Thanks for another good year of service

Anthony did a great job, letting me know he was coming and then working around some spots I had reseeded. I had forgotten to pick up my hoses and he neatly laid them out of the way. This year my lawn has looked the best in a long time.

This was my 1st experience with having Brockman provide a lawn treatment.
Anthony was wonderful! Answered my questions. He was polite, very friendly, efficient. I will be looking to add more services.

Holden W performed very nice job. I had requested an alterative solution to cutting a grassy area between our stamper concrete sidewalk and a flower bed. Other companies used the big mowers that would not fit in there and would tear up the grass leaving bare dirt. Creative solution! Thanks.

Our service was so fast and thorough. I couldn't believe it. I went out to the grocery store thinking how badly my leaves needed to be done. By the time I got back they were done and gone and I never even saw them. Wonderful job and I would absolutely recommend them.

Service was on schedule and completed on time by two professionals.
This is the very first application of the year and looking forward to seeing great results.

Michael did a great job. I'm currently on vacation in Florida, but I watched him on my security cameras. Looks great. He finished right in time. (After he left it rained, hailed and snowed.... Rochester NY Redwings homestand April weather.) Thanks again for the great service. I look forward to using Brockman again.

I use Brockman for lawn treatments and pest control. What a difference they have made. My lawn is lush and green. Finally got some weeds under control. The team is always respectful of my home. Thank you.

They come and leave as quick as possible. Sloppy work. Not sure what crew does this property but they have ignored an entire side of the fence for over a month and also don’t weed whack the tree in the front. We've called and still it doesn’t change. They just came again and left and this is what it continues to look like. Unacceptable and careless. Not sure why since all the other reviews seem good but would not recommend if this is the “quality”.

Update: response to owner: no, this was taken after your crew had left the job and we then called the company and then they came back to fix it. We had also called two weeks ago to let you know the side yard was not being maintained for weeks (ie weed whacking the fence line and mowing). I have photographs to prove that the side yard and tree looked like that for weeks and if you’d like, I can send them to you. I don’t appreciate you trying to make it out to be that I posted this while your crew was still there-which they weren’t, and also like this was a one time mistake-which it wasn’t. If that were the case, I would have never left this review. This was an issue for many weeks that finally got resolved yesterday after another phone call. As for it being my neighbors property; it sure is. They don’t care about the maintenance of their property but I have to look at it and if a company is being paid to take care of the lawn, they should do a good job whether the person cares or complains or doesn’t. The quality of your work is your advertising and reflects on your business.
