I had Spartan remove a large tree in my backyard hanging precariously over my garage. The price provided was the lowest of three estimates. The owner Cameron was easy to work with and extremely professional. Cameron followed through with everything we talked about. Spartan has a hard working professional crew that neverer rests. Very impressed with the entire outfit. When they were done with job you could not tell that they were even there. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Fast scheduling, came out and gave a price and within a few weeks we were scheduled and the project was completed. Just in time before the crazy wind on Halloween. The two workers I spoke with were professional, confident, and they were quick with the job. I work from home and barely noticed a change in my day. Thank you for getting this tree down and keeping our family safe!

Spartan did a great job with our tree removal and cleanup afterwards. They were careful not to damage the lawn. They kept in contact with us as they had to reschedule a couple times due to rain and a soggy backyard. We were very pleased with their service.

Spartan did an amazing job today taking down my tree. Ken, Drew and the other guys were polite, quick and left my yard cleaner than when they came. I would definitely recommend them to others!

We had some extensive tree work done . A very old tree that equipment could not get into the backyard because of fencing. They did an amazing job!! Climbed the tree and took out all the dead branches. Cleaned up our backyard as if they were never here. Highly recommend Spartan Tree and Landscaping and their crew led my Nick.

We had 4 dead ash trees close to our house that needed to be knocked down. I was nervous because of how close the trees were. I was told that the job was a 2 out of 5 for difficulty. There was no need to worry, the team did a great job.

Great job! The guys were friendly and quick. They coordinated with RG&E and it went smoothly. They left the yard clean and neat. I wouldn't hesitate to call Spartan again, and highly recommend them.

First the crew was quite respectful. But the business practices are sketchy at best.
They arrived late. They were not prepared for the “bees” in the tree, even though the contract said “bee hazard “ and charged me extra for the time it took to spray them. After several hours of work, THEIR ROPES BROKE. They stopped work and the owner blamed the bees. Uh NO ! they couldn’t continue with broken ropes. We agreed they would return when the bees were dormant. It took me several texts to get a date for them to return this month. Now they want me to sign a new contract saying I will pay an additional $1400 because they have to come back. It is not my fault their ropes broke. The new contract also said I failed to remove the bees. (If I had promised to remove the bees why did the original contract say “bee hazard ??) Cameron is rude and threatened by saying I was not honoring the contract. I still have this huge unsightly trunk standing there. They did not finish the job - and it was due to their equipment failure ! The crew told me the ropes were too old !

I was concerned that the wet leaves would be difficult or impossible to remove, but Spartan’s employees cleared the lawn so that it looked like it did in mid-summer, just before the heavy snowfall. They also cleaned up the gardens in preparation for the winter. I’ll be hiring them in the spring to clean the stone patio for me. Very nice working with Cam and his crew.

These guys came out on one of the coldest days of the year! They did a great trimming job, cleaned up and were friendly as well as professional. Their price was in line with the type of work they performed. I would definitely hire them again!!!

From the time they arrived to provide an estimate to the time Ken and Drew and the crew showed up to cut down the tree, my experience with Spartan Tree could not have been better. Cameron at Spartan Tree & Landscaping was extremely professional, responsive, and honest. He took the time to explain my options clearly and made the whole process easy. I’d absolutely use Spartan Tree & Landscaping again in the future and recommend them.

I requested a quote for tree stump removal. The quote was a little high. I requested a quote for the chips to be removed and was told the price would be doubled. I advised Spartan to hold off on the job. I wanted to explore other options.
Suddenly the stumps were removed anyway without my knowledge, and I do not know if the chips were removed or buried in the dirt and ground cover. The payment of $300 was a settlement amount agreed upon with Cameron Miller. Poor communications.

Cameron was very professional. He was very detailed, and provided well thought out options for me to choose. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

The WHOLE EXPERIENCE was VERY PLEASANT!!! Beginning, with Stacey who showed up very punctually for our estimate.
Stacey was VERY PERSONABLE, PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
So much, that I Immediately signed a contract with Spartans after she honored my request of a 10% discount for my Honorable service in the United States Marine Corp.

Forwarding to today, 09-17-2025, when Nick, co-owner and Crew showed up punctually to remove our Red Oak tree 🌳.

I am SO IMPRESSED with all of their work ethics. It is EVIDENT TO ME that Spartan Tree Service only employs the best.

They are probably 3 quarters done with the job, but , I am SO CONFIDENT THAT the last quarter will be as REMARKABLE AS THE FIRST THREE.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND SPARTAN TREE SERVICE 🌳 to anyone in need of tree service. I GUARANTEE you WON'T find anyone that does such QUALITY WORK at such a REASONABLE PRICE!!!

Couldn’t recommend Dan and his team more highly! Amazing crew, great service and response time. Got me on the schedule quickly, showed up on time, and did an amazing job. Hire this crew for own sake!

The guys did an amazing job taking down the overhanging tree branches on top of the house. It was quite a difficult job since the tree is located between two houses very close to each other in the city of Rochester. I knew this was a job for highly skilled workers to get in such a tight space. The guys were very professional and efficient with their work and provided photos throughout their work. I trust these guys to get the job done and leave the place spotless. I will be hiring them again in the winter to have the full tree removal done. Highly recommend their service!

Nick and his crew from Spartan Tree and Landscape took down 2 trees and did some lawn maintenance and lifted 2 trees in one day. They did a fabulous job. They were very helpful and accommodating to my specific needs. I highly recommend this company for your next Tree service. Kelley S.

After researching a lot of the big box tree services, I finally found a local company in Spartan .They were way more affordable and available. Andrew answered all my questions and was very down to earth guy. Him and two other workers showed up first thing in the morning on time. All introduced them selves to me and a handshake. They trimmed about eight huge branches off the top of a 35 foot maple. They were in and out and cleaned up within two hours. So happy that I chose them especially because they are a local company! Would not go anywhere else in the future and would totally recommend them to anyone within their area range.

Spartan tree service did not work for me today. But from across the street I watched the work that they did for a neighbor in temperatures that reached 92°. I was incredibly impressed. The next time I need tree service I’m gonna give them a shout.

I contacted three different tree removal companies and only Spartan responded with a full, timely, and convenient quote for the removal of a 22’ pine tree in our front yard. Ken and his crew did an excellent job during the entire process. They were very courteous and thorough. They did an awesome job with the landscaping post-tree removal and cleanup. I will definitely use them in the future, if needed!
