It’s taken me a very long time to write this review because I’ve been busy enjoying my garden. I had no idea that the initial consult with Jay would produce an end product so wonderful.

The plan was to convert a large portion of my garden to an edible perennial food garden. His design was able to accomplish this and allow enough grass for my dog to run. I am constantly amazed at the amount of birds and insects in my garden. It’s such a joyful space where I can sit outdoors with friends and family to enjoy nature and the bounty of my food garden. We had heard wonderful things about Greenjay, and love their respect for the environment, but didn't know if they would want to work around our firmly held vision of an English country cottage garden. Boy did they! They took our dream and created a reality so stunning we (and our neighbors and casual walkers-by) are in heaven. Blossoming times and colors seem to have been perfectly executed so that there is interest in all seasons. Bumblebees, butterflies, and hummingbirds abound. Jay has checked in frequently to see how things are coming and responded quickly to requests for additional help elsewhere on our property. We absolutely couldn't be happier!

I am sure that my words will not do justice to the happiness that Jay and his wonderful team have brought me. They transformed a plain yard into the most glorious garden! It is peaceful, serene and my most favorite place for morning coffee.

I have only great things to say about our experience with Green Jay Landscaping. They are incredibly knowledgable, professional, and inspired, and it has been a pleasure to work with them.

We are currently in the middle of a very large, multi-stage project as they are redesigning our property. They put together a thoughtful design that is perfect for the setting. The scope of the job involves lots of hardscape work with stone steps-- which they are masters at creating-- and many areas of native plantings, which they have expert knowledge of. Their design has transformed the whole space, while also making it look like it completely belongs in the natural setting.

Each step of the way they have been attentive, detail-oriented, and easy to work with. The results, thus far, have surpassed our expectations and we are looking forward to our continued work with the team!

Jay and his team did an amazing job overhauling our home's landscaping. They took an outdoor space that was lifeless and drab and remade it as a lush, vibrant and beautiful oasis for our family to enjoy. The whole process was painless, relatively quick and actually kind of fun. Jay listened to our specific needs - we have three young kids who love to play outside - and delivered a backyard with lots of color and interest, with blueberry and hazelnut shrubs for us to harvest in the summer. I've spent many happy hours with the kids chasing butterflies, observing bees and marveling at the incredible array of wildflowers and other native plants we now enjoy. We have received many compliments, and the local flora and fauna seem to like it as well! Thank you Jay, Uzi and the whole team!

I don’t have words to adequately describe how Jay and his team completely transformed my property and just how much I love it. The gardens went from neglected and tired to lush, gorgeous and vibrant. Jay listened to my goals (including using native plants and pollinators, increasing the biodiversity and addressing the growing erosion issue) and then created a beautiful oasis that is alive with pollinators, birds and insects. The gardens bring me such joy; every time I return home I have to pinch myself that I am so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place. I couldn’t be happier and wouldn’t change a thing.

Jay designed a beautiful garden for my old lake house. It had endured decades of neglect and a steep slope had frustrated all my attempts at planting and improvement. A few weeks of work by Jay's team transformed my yard into a paradise. Boulders, trees, bushes, flowers, and paths for a peaceful stroll are now my paradise. And... This is a professional, local, artistic, and ecologically sound landscaping company I am very excited to be able to work with. Jay came right out to the house to do an assessment within a day of my initial e-mail. We discussed the footprint of our home, the goals we had for using the space, the native plants that would work best, and our overarching vision. He created an extensive design for our property using the space and a ton of local plants (with special care/concern for pollinators and native plants that would flourish). We have just finished phase 1 which was a redesign of our front patio precisely the way he described. He created a very natural, rustic, flowing space that brings me joy. He and his staff have a great eye for detail. They were prompt, professional, and communicated each step of the way. I am looking forward to the next phase of our project. Jay and his team at Green Jay Landscaping transformed what was a boring, unsustainable, dead zone of turf grass into a vibrant native plant garden and meadow alive and buzzing with pollinators. The crew installed low maintenance plants and stone with manual tools, organic methods. The only sounds produced were of shovels and nature itself. Jay is a true ecological master gardener. He and his whole team are passionate about plants and how everything is connected. They understand and appreciates humankind’s role in nature should be to nurture it, enhance it, not work against it with designs requiring polluting equipment and poisonous methods. That birds, insects and leaves play a vital role in the food web. That attracting and sustaining pollinators in decline is responsible land stewardship. If he plants it, they will come is true—the amount of Monarch butterflies, bees, birds and more visiting the oasis that Green Jay created here has been breathtaking and unbelievably rewarding. We had no idea that the magic of a garden isn’t the flowers themselves but the life the flowers bring to the garden. May this “new” gardening movement and restoration of pollinator habitat catch on and replace toxic mow n blow —-it’s time.

Jay did a project for us years ago that was gorgeous and we were thrilled to work with him again. His designs are fantastic, full of creativity and attention to detail, and he delivers on schedule. I can't wait to see how this new lanscaping grows and develops as the seasons progress.

Let's start by saying that Green Jay Landscape Design knows their plants and the biodiversity of Westchester - maybe of other areas too, but I live in Westchester. They make every effort to use native plants and to use plants that attract as many healthy insects and birds as they can. Their staff work hard, and it says a lot about the culture of the company that the staff has stayed with them for years. I can't think of a single reason why I would use anyone else.

Green Jay provided me with a superior design and installation. They have a team of experts working for the customer. I love my new garden! I noticed new wildlife moving in immediately. Jay did an incredible job re-imagining our property. He is worth every penny and what you are paying for is 25+ years of experience in this region with all kinds of gardens / plants / landscapes / etc. Jay can quickly visualize what will look and grow best in a certain spot - whether sun / shaded / flowering / walkway / etc. and then make sure the choice of plants, the placement, watering, treatment, and so on is optimal to provide a long lasting and healthy garden. And more importantly, Jay is just fun to work with - his enthusiasm and love for what he does is contagious. His use of organic materials and native plants only further enhances the overall results. His team is extremely professional and all clearly respect Jay tremendously. He and his team can calmly handle any sized task from planting along a fence line to creating fields of flowers / stone walkways / perennial gardens / water features and so on. Over the years he had done it all and brings that vast knowledge of experience to bear on all his projects. He is 100% committed to the projects that he takes on and shows a tremendous amount of pride and dedication to his work. My wife and I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their home landscape.

Jay and his team were a delight to work with. All were very knowledgeable. I had been trying to landscape on my own for years and it just wasn't coming to fruition. Jay came up with a design that really took into account what I wanted, and pulled our yard together beautifully. Now our yard is colorful and lovely, and filled with butterflies, hummingbirds, and more. It is now a place for us all to enjoy (not just for backyard baseball!). His team showed up on time and cleaned up behind themselves. They have remained responsive and hands-on even after the job finished, which just shows how much they care about their work. I couldn't be happier with this investment and the outcome.
