My 93-year old mother has a 6-burner, 2 oven range dating from the late 1980s that needed TLC and repair. Carlita asked extensive questions and asked for photos, explaining that she did this so as to a) ascertain whether Belgrove could do a repair b) be sure the technician brought all the parts and equipment needed to try and do it in one visit and c) give a fair quote with no surprises after servicing. Only 3 of the 6 burners were working and one oven. The technician arrived in the time frame specified, got 5 burners cleaned and going, replaced the rusted burner part on the sixth and reconnected the second oven. He even managed to find a spare switch knob for the extractor fan to replace the one the had come off. This is proper Customer Service - honest assessment and pricing, good service and a "can do" attitude without BS. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
The Stove Lady, (Carlita) is the place to go when you need a part for an antique stove. They are experts and know all about the stoves out there and their repair parts. They do their best to get you what you need as quickly as possible. This is a niche, specialty market, and we are fortunate to have a business available such as this one.
Carlita & her team did an incredible job restoring our Garland stove. They were exceedingly thorough and meticulous; Carlita even came all the way back to CT to fix a faulty part that she couldn't perfectly fix the first time around. She & her team absolutely transformed our stove, it looks brand new and runs like a dream!
It's hard to say anything others haven't already said about this wonderful business, but I'd like to add my two cents here. Don't think I've ever had faster or more accommodating service than that provided by the Stove Lady. Carlita and her team can fix (or even refurbish) stoves no one else is willing or able to fix. If you love your range and don't want to have to pay to replace it, Carlita absolutely will help, and she'll do so quickly and well.
I stumbled onto a practically never-used 1953 Roper stove about 4 years ago, it had been sitting for 60 years so I had Carlita rebuild all the valves, etc. The stove is used daily and still working perfectly. I feel so lucky to have a resource like this available in today's "disposable economy", where nothing is fixed and everything it tossed aside for something new. You can tell she really knows what she is doing and has an appreciation for these amazing works of art....thank you Carlita!
I own a Crown stove, circa 1975 model. The company is long out of business, but our stoves (4 in our family) live on. Thanks to Carlita at Belgrove Appliance, Inc. I got the needed part and instructions on how to install it - all via email. Whatever questions I had, she could answer, promptly and clearly.
