Large selection of both indoor and outdoor plants

Went looking for Leyland Cypress for a privacy fence in my yard. After a very informative conversation with one of their experts ( he was incredibly knowledgeable)I was told my better option would be a thuja green giant. Much better root system and much more disease tolerant. He informed me for the growing zone I live in it is also better. He was friendly and very patient. I recommend Dees Nursery highly.

Bought a very nice tree, but kid did not put netting around the tree and attached to my truck with cord. I'm a older woman, the tree fell on my head when I attempted to get off rack of truck. That's what a $5 tip gets you these days. My tree wasn't a huge tree normal 5-6 ft tree no-one cares anymore it's sad. So I got a lump on my head and full of sap. Never again, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Horrible theives!!!!! Be very careful for the guy who reads the charges to the cashier by the door. My friends and I shopped there on separate occasions and the same guy (big tall guy with a mustashe/beard) did the same thing to my friends and I on both separate occasions).
What he did was that he read an extra charge ($24.99 to me) & ($39.99 on my friends transaction) and then proceeded to rip the hand written receipt off the repotted planted items. It didn't occur to us immediately because we shopped there many times before. But this time, we thought back and checked the receipts and recalled the charges that was explained to us by the girl who repacked the plants and we fully understood why he did that so willingly and so smoothly... Stupidly on both separate occasions we left and realized when we checked the receipts afterwards that there was one huge extra charge more than the items we've purchased but the tag was ripped off and we couldn't go back to dispute it.
WARNING!!! Be careful and BE ALERT that this same guy has MOST LIKELY done the same thing to many others before and that's why it was DONE so SMOOTHLY...
Therefore, I suggest every shopper to review their charges to reconfirm it during checkout so they don't sneak in any extra charges that doesn't belong to you!!! -
Great family business! The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I made a large purchase and they offered to help me carry my items to the car, great service! Always a wonderful experience at Dees.

Great florist to go to plants, flowers, garden tools, backyard items, crafts, holiday items, plant food, hoses. Fourth of July sale about 50% off paying cash 40% off paying with credit cards some holiday items over 50% off. Great entertainment for kids at Halloween time.
-
My neighbor told me about their half off deals during the 4t of July week, so I stopped by for some perennials, a few bushes and a tree. Couldn't have been any happier with the customer service; had more than enough employees available for whatever you needed.

Mr. DEE SENIOR IS A WONDERFUL MAN.
I don't know why but the son and staff are always very rude when customers ask for help. Prices are extremely high. And they get very angry when you ask about native plants and organic or sustainable gardening methods. If they are not happy with business , maybe its time to sell. -
Went to dees yesterday to get pumpkins to carve with grandkids. I got 4 large & 1 small. I payed over $70.00 when I opens them up they were rotten inside and bugs were in 2 of them. 2 days before halloween and still charging full price. I always open to carve week of halloween and I never saw a pumpkin rotten inside. And the price was just robbery. Thanks for ruining pumpkin carving with my grandkids.......

They have very nice things and decorations but honestly I understand businesses needs to make money it everything is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!! Even a simple low quality fake Christmas Tree is 600 at 40%off. Rip off!!
-
Bob was a huge help. He patiently explained to me what my options were and the pros/cons of each type of tree. The trees were a great price at 50% off and they even loaded it all into my car. I will for sure be coming back.

Went to buy a Christmas Tree yesterday, We had help from tree assistant Tyler, he was very helpful. The selection was great and the prices were fair. The Decor was very Xmas themed. I highly recommend.

The harassment continues..... the owner of the family establishment called our business threatening us to remove our post which was an honest representation of what we experienced as we ATTEMPTED to shop. As for established business owners, it is our responsibility to serve the community with respect and integrity this saddens us that our neighbors felt it necessary to attack our reputation and evade the fact that we have been loyal customers, spending thousands of dollars in their store over the years. We find their actions ironic since they are reflecting of how we were treated, we will no longer engage or perpetuate this harassment. We wish all of our friends, loyal customers, and even our "distressed" neighbors a very happy holiday!!!

I have been going to Dees for over 20 years. It is hands down the best Nursery and Garden Center on Long Island. Their selection, products, livestock quality and knowledge is second to none. Joe and his staff are fantastic when it comes to customer service and the variety of different family events that you will experience at Dees. No matter what the season I always find myself going back to Dees to for all my shopping needs!!!

Went to Dees Nursery today after hearing amazing recommendations. Joe the owner personally came out to help us choose Leyland Cypresses for our backyard. This was a big investment so we were very apprehensive. Joe took the time to explain everything from how to choose the best trees, to planting and caring for them. All the employees we dealt with at Dees were very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices and quality of the trees were much better than other nurseries we visited. We will definitely be back to complete our backyard project!

Every year I use the Scott’s 4 step system for my lawn. I stopped in today to purchase four bags for approximately $100. After parking in the handicapped spot, and walking with my cane, upon entering the store I asked where I might find what I was looking for. I was told it was all the way back in the rear of the store. Since I had recent spinal surgery that was not an option. I asked if someone could get the four bags for me as I could not do all that walking. I was told no. Thinking they were joking I asked again and was given the same answer NO! I walked out and will never ever step foot in that store for the rest of my life. Not only are they overpriced but rude and uncompassionate. My advice to all is do not give them your money and maybe one day they will close with everyone not using them!

I have been a customer at Dees Nursery for over 20 years. Top notch service and the highest quality for all your home and garden needs. Joe and his staff have always gone the extra mile when it comes customer satisfaction. They are truly a family owned business that has supported the surrounding community for years. Don't forget about the wonderful work they do supporting our Troops with the Annual Trees for Troops Campaign.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! -
I ALWAYS go there for any needs plant, or garden related, staff are friendly people and will help you with most anything. Their store is HUGE and has almost everything you could need. And also during October, and most of Fall they have a Haunted House, and Halloween decorations up everywhere which is a really nice touch. Although, the last time I went to buy something, it took a while for us to get it, but it's ok, and I understand because the product was all the way in the back of the facility and there were many people there looking for Christmas trees, and it was packed. I entirely recommend this place for anything you may need for your garden

It’s a great place if you love Gardening. I’ve been dealing with Dee’s many many years. Their employees are lovely very informative, pleasent and very cordial, the owners are superb. NOTE: To shoppers; remember that negative attitude is contagious. You get it right back.
