BEWARE OF CONDUCTING ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Below I will get into the details of our experience but the bottom line is we provided Marco an upfront payment of $4,000, which he used $1,200 for supplies that we were able to use and NEVER PERFORMED ANY OF THE WORK. We're still owed $2,800+ for work that was never performed and unfortunately it's been over 2 years since this happened. We tried to work with him and patiently awaited to receive a refund before proceeding to small claims court but to no avail. The court decided in our favor and we're now moving onto a collection agency.

We were put into touch with Marco through a family member who vouched for his work. Normally we would not have provided any upfront payment above cost of supplies but we trusted him given the personal reference. Over the course of several months of trying to schedule the work, we were left disappointed each time he never showed up or even bothered to pick up the phone to return phone calls or texts. We finally had enough and needed to have the work completed so hired another company who did a great job. We continued to communicate with Marco in hopes of receiving a refund and were told multiple times that he would do so but he just needed a week, another week, another story....eventually we were left with no choice but to go to court. We have a judgment against him and are now moving onto collections and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau shortly.

I hope anyone that is considering this company sees this review and takes it seriously before risking losing your money and time too.

Marco and his team did a fantastic job on our bathroom remodel project. The finished product looks great and the team were responsive, professional and completed the work on time. I'd definitely use these guys again the future.

Marco runs a good crew. They did a nearly complete renovation on my new house; flooring, kitchen reno, bathroom reno and lots of finish work. We changed plans a few times and Marco was willing to roll with the changes with no issues. He even came back months later to touch-up some small things we noticed after living there a while, at no cost. Solid team, good quality work and affordable.

I had a great experience with a Continental Construction from start to finish. Marco and his workers were very efficient and worked hard each day to get my projects done quickly. I requested a deck repair and to install a new staircase with a landing. At the last minute I asked if my existing paver walkway can be connected to the staircase . I also asked if I can have a ceiling put under my deck w a gutter system. Marco didn’t flinch and did exactly what I asked for. He always checked in with me to make sure the quality of his services met my expectations. I found a few overseen issues and He had them fixed without hassle the following day. Marco is very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I will keep his contact information handy for future projects.

It has been an overall positive experience working with Continental on our home. Marco and his team are experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy in this trade of business. Hardworking and willing to complete tasks for your home’s needs.

Had Continental General Construction renovate 1 full bath, a half bathroom, a few window replacements and flooring replacement in a laundry room. They were professional in all of their interactions and the work was completed to my satisfaction. Marco worked with me to allow me to purchase my own fixtures and tiles so it be somewhat custom rather than a standard Home Depot/Lowes bathroom renovation. He started when he said he would and he may have worked too fast for my project because I had to scramble to get the fixtures for the renovation so I would not hold up his crew. My only hesitancy was having to provide 50% upon signing which didn't make sense to me since I was providing most of the supplies and fixtures. The standard is 10% upon signing, then 50% when the work starts. In the end, it all worked out for me and the wife is happy with the renovation so I would have no issue using him again for future projects.

Marco and his team did a tremendous job on our flooring project. The quality and price separate Marco from many of the other contractors we have worked with. To add, he is responsive and communicative throughout the process. I would recommend this company to someone looking for a high quality and experienced contractor.

Marco and his crew did a fabulous job on our house! They refinished the floors, painted, gutted and remodeled our bathroom, finished our attic, and so much more. Marco is a hard worker who takes pride in everything he does, communicating with us throughout the whole project. They worked on our house every day, all day, and didn’t finish until the job was done. We wouldn’t use anyone else for future projects.

I cannot even praise this team and Marco enough. I am expecting my first baby and they were completely timely and actually finished a month before they were supposed to because of my situation. Marco works with you and make sure everything is done exactly how you would like it. I really have never ever worked with better contractors in my life. I would highly highly recommend him to anybody interested. Besides having complete trust in him, his work is absolutely beautiful and his workers are very nice and polite and helpful every day. Always on time and works all day non-stop. Unbelievable!!!

I had called Marco to repair a leak in my roof and to patch the ceiling in both my bedroom and dining room. He came over we went over the work and we agreed on a price. His men were very professional and covered everything with plastic so not to make a mess. The patches and painting were so good it looked new and the roof is sealed. All done in one day. Great Job!

Marco and his crew installed a dishwasher with a new breaker, as well as a new vanity and toilet for us - all in a single day. They also did several minor repairs. Everything came out perfectly, and we plan on using them again in the near future!

Marco and crew were unbelievable. Very professional and on point. I would highly recommend and definitely use again. Thanks Marco!

Continental Construction exceeded our expectations in all categories. We did a complete remodel of our master and guest bathrooms. Marco presented a fair proposal that outlined the project in specific detail. He displayed a standard of expertise and professionalism that produced high quality results. Construction debris and dust were kept at a bare minimum. Every morning the crew placed drop cloths from the front door to the bathrooms upstairs. Then, a make -shift tent was erected to contain the dust inside the construction area. Each night the tents and drop cloths were removed and put back in the morning. There were several instances where Marcos and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Without charge, he brought a crew to clean the entire house.
We are very happy, and friends and family are amazed by our new spaces.

It was a pleasure working with Marco & his crew. Showed up every day and really did an amazing job. My project was to get my house in order to put it up for sale. Additionally, they removed quite a lot of "stuff" for me. Very good communicator always returning my calls within minutes of me leaving a message. I'll be using Marco & crew again at my new home to install replacement sliders. Highly recommend! Thank you Marco for making this project painless.

Cannot say enough good things about Marco and his crew. Did a full renovation on my bathroom and they were very professional. Started on time and completely cleaned up every day after finishing. The work was done timely and professionally and I couldn’t be happier. Will be using Marco for future projects. Very satisfied.

Update:
We've past 4 years now and the roof is still doing great! I would definitely hire Continental again.

Continental construction has been amazing for us. They are licensed in Rockland county, they got all the permits and replaced my entire roof. They worked so fast and had so many guys come out. They showed up on time and worked fast and professionally. I can't recommend Marco and his team enough. Don't hesitate to use these guys for your gone projects. I got 3 quotes Marco was the best deal and fastest to start. Thank you

Marco is like the unicorn of contractors. The person you dream of working with, but never seem to find, and wonder if they even exist! Seriously, look no further because Marco and his team are truly the best. We consulted with him about several home projects recently and the level of knowledge, creative thinking, professionalism and care was astounding and impressive…. Especially after years of working with people who just didn’t seem to care at all. He is incredibly patient, talked me through all of my options, and really listened to my ideas. It’s so amazing to feel that a contractor really cares and has your best interests in mind. Marco is an incredible communicator and came up with creative solutions all while keeping our budget in mind. He responds very quickly and goes above and beyond for his clients. The crew is talented, professional and takes pride in their work. We had them install a door a few days ago and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I’m so looking forward to working with Marco on everything we need. I would give him 100 out of 10 stars.

We used Continental General Construction to install new siding, gutters and redo our entry staircase. Marco and his team did an outstanding job. His team was very professional. They always made sure things were cleaned up before the end of each work day. Throughout the process Marco was always very responsive and ensured things were going according to plan. I will definitely use them again for any future home improvements!

Marco and the team went above and beyond on our bathroom renovation project! They really do handle everything and make sure your project is done perfectly. We even had some old pipes that had to be replaced during the job. Which meant more time would be needed on the project. They never said they can't do that and always made sure it was done right. We have worked with many contractors in the area and they're by far the best in town. Don't hesitate to give them a call for anything you might need.

I highly recommend Marco and his team! They did a full master bathroom remodel for me which included full demo, replacing old plumbing, new electrical, and a lot of new tile work. They also redid the tile on my guest bathroom floor. Marco was absolutely wonderful to work with. He is very kind and understanding, honest, took the time to go over the project details and address any of my concerns, and was very very reasonable in the pricing. It was all very fair and he was very collaborative. He executed my design and vision perfectly! They were able to keep and reinstall all of my fixtures (glass shower door, custom vanity, toilets, sink) that other contractors said they would have to replace. They did absolutely excellent work and were fully committed to the project. They were here every single day - full days - and really seemed invested in the project. His guys are very nice as well, and I had no concern about them being in my home. I am so happy that we found Marco and plan to use him for many more projects to come!

I started working with Marco, Mike, and their team at Continental in early 2024 for a major basement project in Yonkers. Our home is a ranch-style house with a crawlspace that stretched about half the length of the home. We wanted to excavate that space and convert it into a fully functional basement apartment, including a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, a separate entrance, and interior access to the first floor.

We hired them to:

- Excavate the basement crawlspace and extend the foundation footings
- Remove existing brick piers and steel girders and replace them with an LVL beam
- Pour a new slab
- Cut out and install new windows and window wells
- Build an exterior stone staircase with a new basement entrance
- Regrade the yard to accommodate the new doors and windows
- Install a new interior staircase to the first floor
- Frame the new basement apartment

From start to finish, working with Continental has been a pleasure. Marco was easy to communicate with and provided clear, detailed quotes at each stage of the project. We compared quotes from eight other general contractors, and not only was Continental one of the most competitive, but Marco also demonstrated a solid understanding of the complex foundation work involved. There were no surprise change orders — Marco was transparent throughout. Every inspection was passed on the first try.

Continental always left the work space clean. When an existing chimney used by our furnace needed to be removed, Continental's workers sectioned of other parts of the house so that dust was contained. They also swept and vacuumed after every major leg of the project.

Continental's stonework is very nice too. We had an existing stone retaining wall removed and remade to run along the house's main staircase. Continental matched the stone laying pattern and made the new wall look seamless. They also installed stone veneer that matched existing stone on the home around the window wells and new exterior staircase leading to the basement. All additions match the style of the home perfectly.

Marco was also very accommodating. When a stud wall was found to be slightly out of square, his team corrected it promptly and at no additional cost. When our original engineer became unresponsive, Marco even recommended an alternative architect who helped keep the project on track.

I would strongly recommend Continental for any general construction work, from framing and exterior masonry to complex foundation and underpinning jobs. Their professionalism, quality of work, and integrity really set them apart
