(Edit 4/4): Mike called me back and said he would send his guys out to look at repairing whatever is causing the leak.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mike and his crew replaced my liner for my hot water tank through my 35’ chimney quickly and efficiently. I’ve hired many contractors over the years and East Side Chimney is right at the top. Communication, price, and response time was excellent. Gave the crew full access to my house and property while at work and came home with problem solved as if they were never even there.

They were informative and their rates reasonable. They were very efficient, and the work completed in less time than they had estimated!
There were a couple of glitches, mostly because of my misunderstanding, but they still patiently worked through them (even though they were my fault).

These guys are great! Not only were they the only ones I could get to come out in such short notice, but I wouldn't have wanted anyone else! They were great advisers when it came to making sure everything was ready to go for the sale of my house and explained any repair needed in detail. They were on-time, professional, and went above and beyond to do a great job without breaking the bank!

We had an appointment with East Side Chimney to get our chimney inspected and cleaned. Not only did the owner take over a week to reply to our call, once the appointment was made, he gave a 2 Hour window that he NEVER showed up for. Appalled by this service.

WORST CONTRACTOR I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORK!!!

Terrible experience. Mike refused to provide a bill. After asking three times, he texted me a picture of the invoice. He left several huge divots and piles of mortar scattered in my yard. Finally, we've had issues with work completed less than 6 months ago, and he's not returned to fix or at least review his work. He was supposed to come by a few days ago, but didn't show up or call to cancel. We've had another contractor out since Mike has refused to stand behind his work, and the contractor said the original work was over priced, and then he gets called in to clean up behind Eastside pretty frequently. Stay away from this business!

EDIT: I finally heard back from Mike (after a month). He sent me nine text messages today telling me that I was wrong and this review hurt his business. No apology for the no show and no offer to come out to the house.

EDIT: Mike is texting me again today despite my requests for him to stop harassing me. Wow.

EDIT: I've had to report Mike to the Better Business Bureau to get the harassment to stop. I see now that he's simply redirected his lies here.

EDIT: Well, I guess contacting the BBB was a bad idea. Despite my instructions the BBB gave Mike my email and he's harassing me via email now.

East Side Chimney did a great job cleaning my Chimney. They fit me in for a last minute job and grateful. Very Professional. Highly Recommend!!

Fantastic company to work with. They helped us to repair some damage to our chimney, and installed a new wood-burning insert. They were fair, prompt, reasonable, and communicated with us throughout. We have zero complaints and will continue to use East Side Chimney in the future. Loving our new stove!

When East Side cleaned my chimney, they suggested I use anti-creosote treatment, then schedule a second cleaning. I have called four times in the past month to follow up/schedule second cleaning and still have not rec'd. a call back. Very disappointing service. They also repaired my chimney cap a few years ago.

Update: After being contacted by the owner, I am updating my post to clarify that the chimney cleaning itself was fine. Communication, however, was spotty and, wIth no staffed office, it was difficult to schedule service.

Mike was very professional to work with. 1st Visit had to be cancelled because of weather but he quickly fit us back in schedule for annual cleaning and a quick fix to our chimney. Prices were very fair. Highly recommended.

I will never ever go somewhere else again! I had Sparks Monroe service and clean our chimney 2 years in a row, however after Mike and his guys came out we were informed the chimney has never been cleaned and that we actually had a chimney fire! It looked as if we had burned 10 to 12 face cords of wood which we never have. I am truly thankful for East Side they were up front, honest, professional, and very reasonably priced. I would never recommend anyone else but East Side!

Mike and his team came through in a big way for us. Despite many things going wrong between illness, supply issues and other delays, Mike's proactive communication and responsiveness kept us at ease. He kept his promises with sticking to our budget and the quality of his work did not disappoint. We love our new fireplace and would work with him again!

Mike at East Side Chimney went above and beyond! What started out as an estimated 2-3 hour job, ended up being an 8 hour job, due to unexpected complications with my poorly constructed chimney from 1950. They took their time cleaning out & filling in massive holes caused by collapse, replaced the chimney crown and kept to his original (very reasonable) quote. Not to mention an A+ job on cleanup. Highly recommend!

Mike and his crew did an excellent repairing/replacing our chimney and crown. They were all professional, cleaned up everything and I thought the price I paid was a fair price compared to the other 2 companies I contacted. I would definitely recommend him to others and use them again if new issues arise.

This review is long overdue! My mom needed a new chimney liner and the chimney needed to be repaired at the flash line. Our main concern was getting a reputable co. with an excellent rating from the BBB and not being ripped off! These guys were great! Naturally the day they were scheduled to do the work it rained all day. However, Mike still came to my mom's house to do some inside work. The next day they called to say they could be there- as a lift needed to be reserved to get to the chimney outside of the house. Luckily one was returned in time. Well, Mike and the guys installed a new liner, fixed the leak at the flash line, removed several dead birds, put a beautiful crown on it and then some! Mike even showed us pictures of the chimney before and after! These guys sure take pride in their work and I am relieved that my mom is safe in her house without the worry of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Super easy to schedule via text and quick response! Mike and his crew did a great job on an chimney inspection for a client. Set expectations on when they are busy and best time to contact for yearly cleanings and explained what should be taken care of immediately and what could be replaced over time.

Mike did a great job with responding to my phone call, sending an estimate and sending his crew to get the job done all in a timely manner. Mike was friendly and provided me with valuable information about chimney maintenance.

East Side should be your only go to for Chimney Work and install of wood stoves or any other insert. The professionalism and impeccable work ethics of Mike and his team are beyond extraordinaire. Mike was the only contractor that said he could do the job. I had the need for extensive work done on a Chimney built in 1921. Masonary + Liner + insert + ventilation work all done in one day. Trust me when I tell you that my job was a huge task to take on if he can do this he can handle anything that you can ask him to do.

I had a great experience with Mike at East Side Chimney. Mike got out to my house for an estimate the same day and was able to start & complete the necessary work within the next couple days. He explained what repairs needed to be done and took before and after pictures so I could see the finished product. I appreciate all the work & would absolutely recommend.
