Murad is the technician who always helps us out. This is an honest company who has fair rates and great technicians. Murad was here fixing small stuff but I decided to schedule him again to fix some bigger things that I have been putting off for a while. Replacement of kitchen light and putting a light in the pantry/closet to name a few. Murad and his assistant Alex came over yesterday and took care of multitude of projects. I can not say enough about how amazing Red Star and the technicians are. I always ask for Murad but I'm sure they have many other qualified technicians. Thank you so much for being honest professional that I can trust.

The team from Red Star did an excellent job installing recessed lighting in my kitchen, replacing pendant lights, and installing outlets, dimmers, and switches that brought my kitchen electrical to code. Communication with the office and the team was prompt and courteous. Inspection was thorough and results are impressive. I would, and will recommend Red Star for any and all electrical work.

They came out. Did an assesment. Went to work the next day. They come with a truckload of solutions. There was an issue after the assesment. There was an issue with the project. The boss called me directly and was fair, respectful, considerate and resolved the issue. They prioritize safety over a paycheck. I feel confident using red star electric with my electrical needs

I recently purchased an EV and needed a 240V line to accommodate charging. After talking to a few buddies who had extensive knowledge of NEC and wiring installation, I came to the conclusion that I may need a new panel with more room, a subpanel, a 240 run for an outlet, and 2 240V runs for 2 hardwired Tesla wall chargers. I contacted Steven from RedStar. A electrician promptly came by and we had an in depth discussion about me needs and expectations. The work started promptly. An electrician and 1 to 2 helpers performed the work and Steven came by to look at work and answer any final questions I had. The work was great and any issues that came up during installation were brought up and discussed. I feel 100% satisfied with the job. Steven is a fair person and he seems to genuinely care about your needs as a customer. I always research before starting any project. And I'm glad that I went with RedStar. I'll be using them for any electrical work moving forward.

Red star did a great job. Took time to understand everything I needed done. Told me more cost effective ways to do some things. Left everything completed and cleaned up their work area

Josh & Matt came back on a bitterly cold & very windy day to fix 2 outdoor light fixtures for us. In 15 minutes, both lights were working perfectly again! We have been RedStar customers for several years and recommend them!

My mom's refrigerator and have of her house went out. They came within hours. Alex put designated plugs for refrigerator and microwave and rewired other things. They were prompt, knew what they were doing and very polite. Would recommend them.

Alex, Josh and Alexander did a phenomenal job installing our chandeliers in our foyer and dining room. The team was educated, patient and responsive to our input throughout the entire installation process.

This is the second job I have had done for me by Red Star and the team always does a phenomenal job.

Murad managed my first installation for my EV charger and some line voltage architectural lighting and the team also did a great job there. No complaints.

We bought a new house and found rust and corrosion in our panel during the inspection. Red Star confirmed those findings and replaced the panel for a reasonable price. They also installed our EV charger after the move. They were easy to work with and communicated their recommendations well.

I had an excellent experience with Red Star Electric. The team originally worked on upgrading my electrical switch panel and fixing the ground wiring. While a few issues were not fully addressed in the initial visit, the owner Steven Costanzo personally stepped in and took complete ownership of the situation.

Steven was professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to doing the right thing. He thoroughly resolved the outstanding issues and made sure everything was up to safety standards. What impressed me most was his assurance that he would stand behind their work and take care of any future concerns if they arise. That level of accountability and customer care is rare to find.

Called them late on a Friday and they were at my home early on Monday (Saw their van sitting at the curb prior to my appointed time, where they did wait until it was a more civil time). They assessed the job, sent me a bid that I found very reasonable considering I needed to have it done in the next 48 hrs. This was my first time using Red Star Electric and I literally chose them based primarily on their location and customer ratings. The ratings do not lie. They completed the job in under two hours and I am just so happy and relieved with the outcome, as any long delays would have impacted my other contractor’s ability to complete their piece. All in all, it was a great experience and I have added Red Star to my contacts as the go-to person for any electrical work. Thank you guys!

I hired Red Star for a relatively simple project, which kept changing.

What I liked about them:
- Steven and everyone else on the team were super-responsive, transparent, and fair priced in my opinion, not cheap, but fair!
- Josh and the team on the ground did a good job

What I would improve if I were them:
- I would increase the speed of the job, at one point it felt that things could have been done faster, especially when there is a tight deadline for permits

I would definitely consider them again for my next project

We had a small outage in one part of our house. The electrician Alex came, diagnosed the issue quickly & explained everything to us. Unlike other electric companies, it never felt like we were being pressured or sold something that we don’t need. His expertise and professionalism is what helped convince us to move forward with the work right away and we even asked for an additional project to be completed that was outside the scope of the original work. He managed to complete everything in a few hours and took the time to explain his work and show us the changes that were made which made us feel confident that it was worth the investment. We still have some more work to do throughout the house and will definitely be calling Red Star Electric and Alex for all of our needs going forward.

Red Star electric was really great! We were having multiple electrical issues including a not working dishwasher and an outlet replacement. They sent out someone fast, who could work with my busy schedule. Murad was awesome, while going through diagnostics he really made sure I understood what he was doing and walked me through the issues. He was able to save a trip and do all the work the same day. He made sure to let me know all of my options before we agreed to what he would do and I felt I was able to make an informed decision about what to do next. Additionally, he gave me a few tips about other things in my house that were unrelated to the issues. I would definitely recommend this company if you are having electrical issues.

These guys are fair. The owner will work with you. If you are reasonable. First time I used red star I wanted a electric stove installed in my co op. They got started and punched holes but the technician later realized that not enough power could come to the unit. I was refunded my money and they apologized. It takes a lot for anyone to own up to a mistake instead of shifting the blame and i truly respect them for it. I called them back recently to install my led cabinet and gfi's with USB in my kitchen and bathroom after i finished my renovations. They did both and communicated well with scheduling. Murad the technician is very knowledgable and professional. Their services are in high demand, its important to communicate, so you know what's a reasonable timeframe to get your services completed. If you are serious about using their professional services this is the company to choose.

I recently moved into a new home and contacted Red Star Electric to inspect a ground wire installation I was concerned about. Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy.

The technician, Alex, not only addressed my initial concern but also performed a thorough safety inspection of the rest of the house. He identified several issues, including a couple of serious safety hazards. Alex provided a detailed proposal the same day at a reasonable cost.

The team returned a few days later to complete the repairs, and the work was done professionally and efficiently. I’m very happy with the results and grateful for the peace of mind knowing my family is now safer.

I found this company on Google and chose them based on their high ratings. I hired them to install hexagon lights (which I provided) in my shop. A dispatch fee was charged for the initial visit and quote. Josh assured me it would be a professional installation.

The original quote was $3,900, which I negotiated down to $3,000 with the manager. The work took two days to complete. While the lights do function, the installation does not reflect the level of professionalism that was promised (see pictures).

Additionally, the way the lights were connected has caused an electrical issue—if I use any outlet on the same side they tapped into, the fuse box trips and must be reset. When I contacted the manager regarding this issue, I was told that I “got a good deal” on the price. I clarified that I was not seeking a refund, only to have the problem addressed. He mentioned he was out of town and would schedule a follow-up upon his return, but I have not heard back since.
