great experience the owner is such a great guy. He checked out all of my outlets and my main panels to see if there were any issues with my system. He was thorough and answered all of my questions. He was prompt and called to confirm his appointment. I am going to use him for a new project for all of the electrical work I need. It is really hard to find a great electrician and I have found one.

Yesterday morning I lost power in most of my house in a dramatic way. I made several calls to find an electrician hoping that they could come early in the day as I sat in the dark with non-working appliances. Ivan of Curtis Electric heard my worry, and said that he would send a crew to me right away before they start their day. It was an incredible comfort. The electrician diagnosed the problem and I was able to get my electricity back within a few hours. They are kind, competent and extremely reasonably priced. Thank Ivan and Carlos. I will use you again and recommend you to others.

I have been using Curtis electric as my go to electrician for almost 15 years. They have very capable and knowledgeable electricians— who are the same ones each time! Even when I use a contractor I insist they let me use my electrician over theirs. My only choice.

We did a major expansion and renovation of my home and Curtis Electric was by far the best contractor that we had on the job. The electricians were courteous, clean and very knowledgable. They also worked well with my designer and were able to make changes on the fly without any reservation. Ivan Dubbs, the president and owner was always very responsive by text and email which is not always the case with most contractors. They were also very creative and thoughtful when it came time to figuring out where outlets should go and the type of plates that should be used. I would highly recommend Curtis Electric for all of your electrical needs. They can do a small job like hanging a fixture to a huge renovation or custom new build.

Chris and Javier did an excellent job putting in a new electrical panel and wiring new outdoor lighting. Very accomodating with my schedule and communicated about the project well. Would definitely recommend this company.

Ivan is the best! When we moved to Scarsdale some 25 years ago, my neighbor shared her list of "go to" people, and Ivan was rightly at the top of the list with (honest) next to his name. I've been a loyal customer ever since. His prices are very fair, he explains the job, never tries to oversell, communicates throughout, and importantly, he and his team do excellent work. I recently had an electrical panel that needed to be changed. The work was organized, smart, neat, and I feel safer in my home!

Curtis has done several jobs for me over the years. Most recently, they repaired our lamppost and some other exterior lights which weren't working after our front walk was rebuilt. They have always been responsive, prompt, and have successfully completed the jobs. I highly recommend.

Ivan and his team did a great job installing a ceiling fan and heater on my front porch. Ran new electric lines from the fuse box and caused zero damage to walls and ceiling. Job well done. I will use Curtis Electric again.

MJ Rooney did an amazing job for us. Starting with a rapid response to my Facebook message. They showed up on time, were very Covid-conscious, pleasant and very knowledgeable. John and Mike repaired a GFI outlet, installed LED light fixtures and wired our entire home for CAT6 ethernet. Impressively with the latter, they left only a few holes for us to easily patch up. Red Star Electric is awesome! This is my second time using them. They are very thorough in their explanation of work. Particularly Josh, he updated my electrical panel and gave me some advice on a project my husband and I are planning out. I will definitely use them again for our next time.

We originally reached out to this company because of the reviews we read online and we were not disappointed. We needed an outdoor outlet installed in our very old home. The company came to the house on a service call. There was a fee for the service call but that included electrical assessment and a proposal for the job to be completed. The proposal included the price of the outdoor outlet installation as well as some other additinal recommended services. We then called the company and made an appointment for the installation of the outdoor outlet. The day of the appointment the technician was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. We thought the price was reasonable enough given our current economy and the price of materials/labor. The job was completed quickly and to our satisfaction. Will definitely use again for the recommended services they suggested and will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Removed old ceiling fans and assembled/installed new ones. We've been using Red Star for years and we've always been happy with tge service we've received.

Punctual, professional, friendly & priced fairly. Very pleased. They handled 6 various electrical jobs throughout the house. We've used Red Star in the past & will again in the future. Highly recommended! On another visit Josh & Ronald replaced a ceiling light fixture, and a faulty blinking light. They are consistently great!!
