Stay far away from this place. We went with a list of supplies, one of the staff who seemed upset we needed help takes our supply list & after spending almost $1,000 get home to find out that 80% of what we had was wrong & dangerous to use; even one box which was supposed to be 4 items had only 2 in it. Needless to say we wasted a day on our project & the inconvenience of having to go back. The scary part is these people are so incompetent and not experienced about electrical supplies, they put people’s lives at risk.

Normally, I don't write reviews, but in this case it is absolutely a must. If it is possible to give a zero star review, I would give it. This place is staffed by people that do not give a flying .... about your safety. I came in for a pair of insulated gloves. I did not know I needed an over glove if i were to use insulated gloves, so as to shield me from current. They did not mention it at all. Further, the flippant employee saw me waiting for my turn, and thought it was honorable to call the next customer over. I try to support indy shops but this one does not deserve any support.

Well equipped store, with horrible customer support.
Long waiting for everything from the back storage, the fat guy behind the counter is a jerk, farts and laughing on it.
Not a professional way to do business, but they have their customers who can tolerate him and the smell.

Was referred to Woodlawn by a friend. Spoke to owner who was very helpful and answered all my questions. In addition to helping me with the items I needed he also took his time to find an electrician who could come do an emergency install for me. Very happy with the service I have received and will absolutely use this store again.

This place is worse than going to the DMV. No one here wants to help you. To buy supplies you have to tell someone behind the counter all the stuff you need and then they go in the back to get the stuff. But there's 20 guys behind the counter and don't want to bother trying to serve the next costumer.

Don't bother trying to ask questions, you better know everything about electrical work. This place makes Home Depot look like the greatest place in the world.

I started out needing some special number for wire turned out they had it but they couldn't find it took me two to three hours to get it and we had to substitute it for something else I give the store five stars because they took an old big R&S Strauss motor vehicle store and turned it into this huge Electric Supply Warehouse and it looks really good and I will be going back there to buy more stuff because it looks like they have everything you could possibly need but it is very very busy and a lot of people non-stop action so you do need some patience

Great place. True nirvana for an electrician or even a contractor. Also I was trying to buy a 3 pole 79 Amp breaker and I must have called 6 different electrical suppliers and Woodlawn was the only one that carried it in stock and best of all they were cheaper from their competitors by more than a few dollars which adds up at the very end. So great place just make sure when you calls always ask for the counter. Enjoy the free coffee as well.

Even as the supply chain issues continue, Woodlawn either has or gets what you need in short order. I only wish they were closer to my shop- they'd definitely be my go to supplier

Decent prices and decent stock but I feel like I am invisible when I walk in. Everytime I go there I wait 10-15min for them to even pay attention that I am waiting. Then it takes about 10-15min to get the part and print the ticket. Better off going to a distributor outside of town, even with the drive you will save time. Owner is a good guy and helpful but his front desk guys tend to ignore people unless it's a regular it seems.

Lots of items in a small store, but employees know where everything is. Great selection of tools & supplies and the employees are always helpful. Prices are as expected.

Unprofessional staff.. no smile.. No care.. between my employees and I … we had to go there 3 trips and pay Extra for wires that was Cut wrong by Rey And Frankie!!!!!
Worst part they call us liars indirectly by saying this is what you ordered!!
Perhaps replace those unprofessional low energy faces with Smiling ladies.

I needed an extender for an octagon, single gang box and the gentleman behind the counter knew exactly what I needed. The store is packed ceiling to floor with any and everything an electrical contractor would ever need...or want. If you are a fan of Milwaukee brand tools, then you feel right at home here. If you are in the Wakefield or Yonkers area and need electrical tools or supplies, don't waste your time going to those big box stores. Woodlawn Supply will have what you need...and want for any electrical project.
