We have been in our house for 6 years, and have experienced more than a few roof leaks due to poor construction on an addition. After stop-gap measures and paying an outrageous amount for a partial repair from a less than reputable roofing company (hindsight is 2020) we finally had to replace the roof. We had several inspections and estimates, and after talking to Rob Holt at Baker Roofing, we decided to use them to replace our roof. Rob pointed out problem areas with our roof that no other roofer even mentioned. Baker was definitely not the cheapest, but you can't put a price tag on peace of mind. The roof was installed in a few days and we upgraded our gutters as well. Josh Bailey was the project manager and he did an excellent job of making sure the project was completed to Baker Roofing's high standards. I have delt with a reoccurring roofing problem for years, Baker Home Exteriors came out reviewed my roof and made a fair and timely quotation. The best part is the repair was even better. Based on my research, Baker Home Exteriors has a reputation for quality work, so I hired them to replace my roof and to install 22 new windows in my home. Everyone on the Baker team, including Pete Mandic, Rob Holt, Brian Altork, Roman Smith, and the roofing and window crews were a pleasure to work with.
In the past couple of years, I had renovated the inside of my home and was nervous that replacing the window frames would mess up the interior paint and tile. But the window crew were such professionals. There was zero damage to paint or tiles. And Brian suggested a fixed window in my kitchen to replace the existing three narrow windows. It's gorgeous! I also had new built-ins in my office and wanted to match the blue-green window. That was accomplished without a problem as well. The crews were hardworking and cleaned up after themselves exceptionally well.
If I am in need of additional home repairs, Baker will be my first and only call. I highly recommend them!!

I met with William Gurney from Baker Home Exteriors to talk about replacing the roof. He arrived on time and with sample materials as well as a copy of the warranty for me to review at my leisure, after explaining it in terms I could understand. He inspected the roof to assess the wear and damage, did not try to upsell or pressure me into submitting an insurance claim. Also, his estimate was very reasonable. I scheduled the job with a different company this time due to difficult logistics, but would not hesitate to call Baker again or recommend them.

If you want the short version - I experienced Baker as an honest company that does great work, is competitively priced, and is constantly seeking to improve their service. I will continue to patronize Baker Roofing.
Long Version -I obtained estimates from three of the highest rated roofing companies, and decided to try Baker Roofing because Chad P. knew more about roofing longevity practices and drainage management than the other two company representatives. I am staying with Baker because of the quality of both their work and their employees.
Clint was the project manager for the roofing, and I could not have asked for a better advocate. He told me everything to expect, was present for and very attentive to the entire roofing process, enthusiastically addressed all of my questions and concerns during the install, and made certain that I was completely satisfied with the completion of the work. I was impressed with his honesty and his attention to detail. In the future, I will ask for him specifically. The roofing crew was experienced (one of them had been working with Baker for more than 20 years), worked together well, and seemed to enjoy their job. It has been more than a year since the installation and there have been no leaks, no shifting or loose shingles, and the ridge vent edges are still tight against the shingles.
Chris was the project manager for the siding, and showed the same attention and enthusiasm that Clint exhibited. He happily addressed all of my concerns and questions before, during, and after the install, was very polite and helpful at all times, was quick to answer his phone when I called with questions, and paid real attention to all details, such as: making certain that the paint didn’t just match, but matched perfectly, offering and demonstrating options for the trim installation, and he even found a minor aesthetic manufacturing defect in one of the boards on final inspection and replaced the board the next day. The crew – Oscar, Ivan, and a third member whose name I did not get – was excellent. Their cuts were all clean, the boards are all tight against the sheathing, the window wrapping was much better than the original, and they did extra things like angle-cut the top edge of the trim so water runs off of the top surface instead of collecting on the flat surface (takes extra time and goes a long way towards longevity of the material). In my book, those guys are masters of their craft.
I noticed that Baker did not cut corners on materials like caulk (OSI) and house wrap (Hardie).
I didn’t get the gutter install crew’s names, but again, they were professional and friendly, did a great job (neat bends, color matched, tight connections, screws hidden when possible, etc.), and went above and beyond to make certain I was satisfied with the work. They were really nice guys who did the neatest gutter work I have seen.
A few months after the completion of the work, Charlotte, from the corporate office, called to make sure I was still satisfied with the work that they performed. She was very nice, asked relevant questions, and I believe that she was genuinely interested in my opinion and experience.
Summarily, I dealt with four departments of Baker Construction, and they all demonstrated the same interest in quality and in my personal satisfaction with their work. Everyone answered my phone calls or returned my calls the same day, and all of the work was of high quality. I did not find Baker’s estimate to be anymore expensive that the other two companies IF the comparison was the proverbial oranges to oranges… for example – another company’s estimate was less but their estimate did not include drip edges on the eaves. I did not experience any pressure of any kind from any Baker employee at any time. They sent me their estimate, checked in one time to see if I had any questions, and they were always courteous.

We got so lucky to have found Baker Roofing! When we had some storm damage they did an extremely professional job replacing our roof. After that experience, we asked them if they could build out a new roof over our back deck and they did an AMAZING job and a very reasonable price. Here's a quick before and after pic. My husband and I are extremely happy with the quality of work that Baker provided. We got all of our old siding completely removed and new siding installed. Baker repaired a lot of damage on the exterior of our home and installed glass doors, French and sliding. The work was excellent, the price was reasonable and the crew - want to call out Jacob and Tavo specifically - were just fantastic. Highly recommend!

Took 5 months to have gutters installed. I got invoiced before the project was complete, had to reach out asking them to finish the job before I sent payment. Upon completion, I noticed the gutters were hung entirely too high and exposed the OSB under the shingles. Completely unacceptable, insane that someone looked at this and gave it the OK. After bringing this up the "fix" was lowering the gutter and installing a piece of flashing, however this still exposed the OSB. I ended up having Baker remove the gutter guard which allowed the shingles to sit flat. I will not have Baker do any more work on my house.

Baker Home Exteriors is a first class company that helped with repairs and replacements for our front porch roof along with the picture window above it. The level of professionalism and follow up along with their dedication and truthfulness with regard to what they do is almost unmatched in this space. There are many companies in the greenville, SC area that claim to be roofing and window companies, however I either was left hanging with no follow-up or was told “we won’t touch that”.
Ian Edwards was my consultant. Once we agreed to move forward with him via the online scope of work agreement, he orchestrated everything with the team that would execute. Brian came out to measure everything for the window. It sounds simple, but the original design of the porch roof and window above it was poor. The new window would have to be 4 inches shorter. Sounds easy, but it obviously wasn’t since “we won’t touch that “ was a common theme from other service providers in the upstate.

William and his crew drove down on the agreed upon day and knocked things out in 2 days. Amazing work ethic. William had crazy long days. The widow is amazing the new porch roof will last much longer than the original one. My wife and I are VERY pleased.

Baker Roofing Company of Baker Home Exteriors provided excellent sales consulting, management, materials, and skilled installation for the roof covering replacement I needed. The work was completed according to schedule, and the site was treated with the utmost respect, and cleaned thoroughly. The decisions made by the crew when they discovered challenges resulted in quality results, and they addressed my few remaining concerns quickly and effectively. I will call them back if any issues arise because I know that they are capable of resolving individual problems in consideration of the entire structure.

Matt Schiele of Baker Roofing was the supervisor of the installation of our new tile roof. The job required a crew of eight, for a little over two weeks. It might not have been a big job for them but was a huge deal to us: demolition of a clay tile roof, repairs to wood damage, and application of 9 tons of clay tiles, lead flashing and copper gutters.

We were pleased with the outcome, and particularly pleased by Matt’s support and communication throughout the installation. He identified and corrected a few problems- before they became problems. He was careful to make sure that his crew restored the site to pre-construction appearance.

Baker’s prices are not inexpensive, but we found value in the work. Highest recommendation.
