Great guy, great service! He communicated often leading up to our removal and worked with all the utility companies on our behalf prior to the extraction. Punctual, efficient, and cleaned everything up afterward. It’s like the tree was never there! Will use him again and will highly recommend him to all my friends and family!

I recently had an exceptional experience with J & D Tree Pros. Their arborist, Barney, along with the owner, Dan, and administrative staff, Susan and Grace, and their professional crews, truly stood out. Everyone was professional, courteous and the cleanup was impeccable. Multiple neighbors have praised their work ethic. Barney provided expert advice on which trees to remove and why, ensuring our decision-making was informed and thoughtful. Despite the challenging task of removing ~20 trees, some located on a steep slope and high-risk, their skilled use of a crane made the process seamless. The service was not only efficient but also reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

J&D Tree Pros was doing some work in the neighborhood and had some impressive equipment, so I called them Monday morning for a quote on some tree trimming around my house. The office staff was friendly, but it’s now Saturday and I haven’t received any follow-up or response. Disappointed in the lack of communication.

I would highly recommend J&D Tree Pros to anyone in need of tree removal services. Having used J&D on 2 previous occasions, I contacted them yet again In Sep 2016 to assist with the removal of 5 very large Hickory trees in our backyard. Again, J&D vastly exceeded our expectations. Their owner, Daniel McMains, came to our home and provided an estimate for the cost of removal. By mid-afternoon, their crew was onsite and within hours all 5 trees were gone and our backyard was cleared of all debris. Despite the large size and difficult placement of our trees within a fenced backyard, Josh and his amazing crew extracted them without issue.

In my opinion, you could not ask for a better service experience with any company, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of high risk tree removal.

We were beyond impressed with J & D Tree Pros and would recommend to anyone needing their services. Susan and the office staff were always welcoming and answered all my questions. We had a very professional estimator out quickly to go through what the job would involve (Allen was very knowledgeable and helpful) and the quote was very reasonable compared to other companies (very competitive quote). The people that came out for the tree removals were efficient and respectful of our property. You could easily tell they knew what they were doing, worked quickly, and took time to think through how to drop the trees without damaging any of our other landscaping/landscape trees. Our job involved removing multiple cypress trees that had been planted too close and were tight against our fence (and other trees)….so a difficult task that they handled without any harm to our other plants. Their skill and efficiency was beyond impressive. Once the job was completed, they took time to thoroughly cleanup our yard, driveway, neighbors driveway, and neighborhood road…even our neighbors were impressed and asked regarding a future project for their yard. We are very picky when it comes to yard work and therefore, happy to share positive recommendations for others looking for similar services….J & D Tree Pros impressed us and will definitely keep in mind for any future needs.

I had 30 large trees removed from my property near downtown Cary. Mostly 50 foot pines. I could not be happier. J&D Tree Pros are, like the name says, "Professional." Some other words I would use to describe the team, experienced and knowledgeable and courteous. They work with huge machines and chainsaws, they have to be on point. You don't want to mess around with amatures when it comes to this work. Let them give you a quote, like me, you will be glad you did.

We had them drop a tree but not haul debris. Their price was very competitive with other quotes. They initially said scheduling could take a week or so but called when they had an opening and came that day. Job was done well, dealt with dead tree and were able to drop it into gap in my fence, perfect placement. Would recommend them.

These guys are amazing!!!! They could be acrobats! They take every precaution to be safe for themselves and anyone around them. I'm very impressed by their work ethic and kindliness. They took down a massive tree today that fell on my neighbors house about a month ago in downtown Cary. They made sure the streets and the grounds were better than when they got here this morning. I would strongly recommend them for any tree service. My hats off to the crew, I'd happily buy y'all a round of beers!!! Stay safe and thanks for getting rid of that stupid tree!!!

Your Team did an impressive job cutting down 20 trees. Half of which were very tall and large trees. It was impressive watching them working together as a team to get job done.

We loved having an arborist come look at all of our trees. Dan explained the condition of each tree to help us make an informed decision. His crew was excellent and not a single tree landed on the ground, protecting the living tree root system. The crew was kind to a budding big truck driver as you can see in the photo. J&D did a great job taking out two trees with their crane. The trees were in a tricky spot just behind the house on a crowded street, but they made it look easy. They were so efficient and had the whole job done and the street clean within an hour of the crane setting up. Happy to support a local Apex business and will use them again if needed!

"Pros" is a bit of a stretch. Everyone from J&D I spoke with seemed very nice and willing to promise me the world. Unfortunately, FIVE MONTHS after smashing my fence and countless follow-ups, they have STILL not gotten around to finishing their half-hearted “fix”. Luckily the unstained/untreated lumber is molding over so is not as noticeable as it was when they first hacked it together, but as President Daniel McMains said a month ago, “he is right this is absolutely ridiculous”… At least I got a little free landscaping by my driveway.

We cannot say enough good things about J&D Tree Pros! Dan, Ryan and the entire crew could not have been more professional but more than that, so kind and respectful of my husband and my feelings about losing our giant white oak, Hiram. Estimated to be over 200 years old, he was named after my husband’s grandfather as we live in his grandparents house. This tree was like a family member and through circumstances out of our control he grew with a lean. In the past 6 months that lean became worse to the point of being dangerous. Dan came to give us an estimate and had his crew out the same day to get started on the removal and get the tree to a point of being safer. Every member of the crew was so kind and understanding of the grief we were feeling and they were respectful of the tree itself! That to me shows true character! So my husband and I highly recommend Dan, Ryan and the entire company of J&D Tree Pros. Simply the best there is. They will handle all of our tree needs for the future.
