Constraction reviews in Charlotte, North Carolina

From the looks of these reviews and my own personal experience, it appears that we are all facing the same TERRIBLE customer service experiences. The blame is 100% on AT&T and their willingness to hire process and execution challenged organizations as their third party vendors. The reality is, their “leadership” capacity is trash and that is clear all the way through to their work staff.
We just moved into a community last year only to discover that Ansco and Associates and/or one of their subcontractors damaged a sewage line. That damage has cause RAW SEWAGE to back into my home and they have REFUSED to take ownership of the damage. We have not been able to take showers, run dish water and have not been able to wash clothes since JANUARY of this year and we are now days away from APRIL. Every time you try to contact someone by email or phone there is no response. This business should be reported to the BBB and every “leader” there
needs to step down IMMEDIATELY. -
Ansco worked as a subcontractor for AT&T in my neighborhood the week of May 09, 2022. They were laying fiber cable and mistakenly cut sewer lines. There was raw sewage matter in the back yard. I called AT& T the same day and filed a claim.
Ansco arrived two weeks later to repair the sewer lines. How do they expect people to live with that type of environmental disaster for two weeks. Did they think it was OK because it was a minority working class neighborhood?
The crew was dispatched in the rain to repair the sewer lines. In their haste to make the repair, they damaged some waterlines, and there was water gushing down the street for the remainder of the night. They returned the following day to fix the water lines.
I submitted a claim to Ansco for out of pocket expenses and the lack of livability in the home 4 weeks ago. Nothing has been paid, so I phoned the Charlotte office.
The person who answers the phone is named Pamela, and she is pleasant and shows a willingness to help. Pamela sent a email to the 2 men I had been assisting me as well as their manager.
One of the men called the same day and was quite arrogant. He insisted I submitted a water bill for $21k, when I had not. He sent the bill to me via text, and it belonged to a neighbor. He was supposed to call back with an update on my claim, but there has been no follow up.
It is not right for Ansco to act in this irresponsible and undesirable manner. II will be reporting this company to the NC Attorney General. -
This company subcontracted with ATT to install fiber. Instead of using a horizontal boring machine or hydro drill, they brought in manual labor and an impact drill to dig holes every 10-12 feet and destroy our yards. The QC guy had no answer only “This is the way it is done”. Ansco actually subcontracted the labor to a group that probably doesn’t have the means or experience to run one of these machines. This is a very THIRD WORLD solution to an issue that didn’t need to be an issue with the proper equipment. Not a fan of low ball contracting. Contraction 101, if you do not have the tools to do the job efficiently, don’t bid on the job.

Don’t use them. The Supervisors lie to your face about providing paperwork when property damage occurs. They allowed thousands of gallons of raw sewage to enter storm drain into Lake Norman. Corporate will not do anything. They don’t have spill kits, they don’t have the state required paperwork on hand and refuse to send it.

I called this person to give me a quote on some repairs in my home that needed to be fixed. After a missed appointment, he did finally come and said he would get back to me with the quotes. He has done nothing but waste my time. If you can't make repairs, just say so. Don't leave a person hanging in the wind.

Jonch Perkins is a true professional; prompt, fair, friendly and thorough. He’s multi talented, strong and not afraid of a hard day’s work. Highly recommended!
-
I was having trouble killing the weeds in my yard and after several attempt with products from Lowes I hired this company. They did an amazing job with the lawn and it looked far better just a week after their first visit.
-
Jonch is very detail oriented. He comes out to give an estimate and lets you know if he sees other things that need to be fixed as well! Highly recommend for lawn care, leaf removal general yard work, mulching, weed spraying and even Christmas lights! Highly recommend!
-
I’ve used Perkins Property Services twice to hang Christmas lights after he was recommended by my neighbor down the street. Jonch is a great communicator and my lights looked fantastic. His pricing is competitive and he even went above and beyond to make sure cords were as minimally visible as possible and cleaned out a gutter that was out of my reach and packed with leaves and debris. He and his crew were great, efficient and did a wonderful job! I’ve already recommended him to other neighbors.

I had a great experience working with Queen City Painting Company. Their team demonstrated a high level of professionalism from start to finish. They were punctual, organized, and clearly committed to delivering quality work.
What really stood out was Ron’s proactive communication. He kept me informed at every stage of the process, quickly addressed any questions, and made sure I knew what to expect next. It’s clear that Ron and his team take pride in a job well done.
I would absolutely recommend Queen City Company to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and professional team. -
Ron and his team did a great job with our popcorn ceiling removal and interior painting. From initial quote to project completion, the process moved quickly without complications. We would absolutely recommend Queen City Painting.

Ron and his team did an amazing job with my exterior home painting job. He was really knowledgeable and helpful in the color selection and the carpentry fixes that needed to happen around the house. Definitely recommend!

Painted inside old wood paneling throughout. Explained the process and gave specialty paint recommendations for this type of material. This was very detailing and laboring work and they did a great job. I am very pleased and when some more money comes in I will have them paint my walls too!

Absolutely terrible company, would not recommend to anyone looking for a quality painter. My wife and I contracted with Ron to paint our interior kitchen cabinets and the exterior brick on our home. We got multiple quotes and Ron's was the cheapest by far- I should have known why. We signed the contracts and set the date for both jobs. STRIKE 1 was on the exterior. Ron told us he'd power wash before painting but that never happened. When we called him on it he told us they had, however, when the power washing company came back out after a lot of back and forth, they told us Ron had instructed them to do the wrong house! Ron would not admit this and kept swearing by his word that they had cleaned our house. There was dirt and debris everywhere and there was no way it had been washed. Finally, after a lot of back and forth the power washing got done but we were completely dissatisfied with how Ron handled it and were shocked that he would flat our lie to us. STRIKE TWO was the kitchen cabinet job. Ron sent one guy to do the entire thing. Our kitchen is large and this poor kid was here from 8 am until 10pm. The work was terrible- paint drying as it ran down the fronts of the cabinets and none of the cabinets or drawers reinstalled properly. When I called Ron on the quality he said "We're not cabinet hangers" and that his margin on the job was razor thin! He also said that we were "stressing him out and he just had a recent heart attack! I felt for the guy, but again, not my problem. I was appalled and demanded he come back and fix it. The next day he sent two guys back, Elias and Danny the foreman. Ron was a no-show. Danny was great and they re-did the entire kitchen. They had to re-sand and re-paint everything which took them another 12 hours. If only Ron had sent the right number of people, it probably would've gotten done the first time. Since he cut corners, he paid for it in the end. STRIKE 3 and the nail in the coffin was when Ron emailed, not called, me the next day to say they would no longer be able to accommodate our exterior painting job. We had a signed contract and a date set, but because he was upset at underbidding our kitchen and having to re-do the shotty work they did the first time around he made up some story about being booked for the next 16 weeks. Needless to say, he left us hanging on the exterior of our house, with a contract in hand. We will be pursuing recourse but I warn anyone that comes in contact with this guy that he is dishonest, has no integrity and is all about his own self interest and bottom line. I will never recommend his company and hope that people stay away after reading this. Queen City Painting should be shut down as Ron is unfit to run a company.

Incredible experience with Queen City Painting Company! I discovered them after a few of my neighbors used them and read reviews on my HOA blog site. It seems they have repainted a significant number of homes in our subdivision and they came highly recommended.
After getting a few quotes I was pleased with the pricing and as everyone mentioned the responsiveness of the owner. We contracted Queen City Painting Company to paint all of the walls in our home.
We agreed on the start day and they showed up in mass right on time and ready to go. They sanded the walls, fixed the holes and cracks, moved furniture and wrapped in plastic, and covered all of the floors. Surprising to me they finished that same day as promised. I was skeptical but they delivered! Nearly 2500 square feet.
When finished we spoke to the owner and the foreman who asked us to "be as picky as we wanted" to make sure we were pleased. Aside from a piece of tape on the baseboard we really couldnt find anything to point out.
I feel like this group is about as professional as you can get and the pricing was very reasonable. We are a couple of years away from needing the exterior painting done but we will be calling Queen City Painting for sure. Superb job! -
When we moved to Charlotte from Rock Hill we had to find a new painter as our old one didnt service Charlotte. We were referred by our neighborhood association board to Queen City Painting Company. Several people have used them in our community and posted incredible things about them on the boards. The owner was great and each of the workers were fast, well mannered, and clean. They did a great job doing the interior painting on my home. They painted several rooms for us, definately close to 3/4 of the house and they did it in 1 day. We had a couple other companies quote 3-5 days. We didnt want that inconvienience and with the reputation Queen City had with our neighbors it was a no brainer. When its time for exterior painting Queen City Painting will be our first call.

I am very pleased with the job done by Ron and his team of expert painters. Due to the many days of rain this summer, it was necessary to adjust the painting schedule several times. However, Ron did an excellent job of keeping me informed, which allowed me to adjust my on schedule as necessary. When we we able to get the project underway, the crew worked diligently and professionally. I highly recommend Queen City for all your painting needs.

I got 4 quotes for interior painting but only Ron at Queen City Painting stood out. He spent a lot of time with me explaining everything and helped me pick out colors even when he knew I just still getting estimates. I really appreciated the extra attention and help. For me the deciding factor to go with Queen City besides the extra help was that they were large enough to paint all of the walls in my house in 1 day. Sure enough the day we painted Ron showed up on time with a foreman who was great and 9 guys. They moved everything, wrapped my furniture in plastic and covered the floors. 2 coats on everything! They used high grade paint to match my needs and did a perfect clean up job. Ron came back at the end of the day to make sure everything was perfect and it was. This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I have never had such professional painters ever and I would recommend this group to anyone..

Ron and his team did a fantastic job. He not only did a thorough estimate prior to the work, but he took multiple questions we had anytime we needed. Their work was very professional and they left everything looking as good as when they arrived. Would recommend to anyone!
