I bought a Mattamy home a little over 2 yrs ago. The HVAC has failed numerous times. But my biggest complaint is the room above the garage is freezing cold. That area of the house was not insulated appropriately. And if you have a choice for the appliances do not go with the standard they put in the house, whirlpool. My dishwasher has already stopped working. It never cleaned the dishes well from day one. I wash/rinse my dishes prior to putting them in the dishwasher.so there shouldn’t be a problem. I waited 2yrs to find a Mattamy home community I wanted to live in. Now I’m just disappointed by the poor product and appliances they use for the homes now.

I’ve owned my townhome at Cheney Townhomes for almost two years, and my first year was peaceful. Unfortunately, once the neighboring unit became a rental, my experience changed completely. There is frequent excessive noise late at night, loud music, banging, and poor upkeep, including trash and debris left outside. The walls are extremely thin, and noise travels easily, which makes it difficult to enjoy your home in peace.

I’ve contacted the HOA multiple times, but noise issues remain unresolved. As a first-time homeowner, this has been very disappointing. I would strongly recommend asking about rental policies and sound insulation before purchasing here. Personally, I would not recommend this community if you value peace and quiet.

Another client. They do a great job with E/I, EVERYTHING INCLUDED program. Beautiful homes at affordable prices in nice neighborhoods.

Had awful experience with the Lennar's Sales Rep at Walnut Creek community! Completely unprofessional and even rude. They don't care about customers at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Lennar is FULL of lies! Was told by Lennar than an "investor" bought out the whole 3rd phase of our community. Come to find out that the so called "investor" was Lennar. They gave the whole 3rd phase larger patios (which we couldn't have an option for). Also the whole 3rd phase has upgrades (which we also weren't allowed to get). They told everyone that bought in the 1st phase that there would be no rentals. But over half (including the whole 3rd phase) are rentals. BEWARE if you buy from Lennar! They WILL lie to you just to get your hard earned money!

I'm having structural issues with my home. I contacted Lennar customer support they sent out a customer service field technician am I claim was declined. I had a crack greater than 1/4 of an inch and it went all the way through my hardwood floors all the way to my foundation. The structural warranty should have kicked in but when are kept on declining the claim. I finally spoke to a gentleman named Robin Cohen he never came out and looked at the property and started the claim process. don't trust this company as they will pull you along until you stop pursuing the claim. They have their unethical tactics. Good luck

Lennar agreed to replace all the carpet in my house because it completely wore out in just a few months. Apparently this has happened to all homes in my neighborhood. They scheduled the carpet installation for today. I had all of the furniture removed and scheduled for it to be replaced tomorrow. After taking the day off work to be here for them today, they just cancelled because it is raining. What the? They say they need the driveway to cut it. They could use the garage or the empty inside of the house, but they won’t even consider that. Now I will have to find a place to stay until they can reschedule. David Stanton is useless. He doesn’t care and said he is too busy to deal with it. I HATE Lennar and will never use or recommend them again!

BUYER BEWARE! We Relocated from Tampa to Charlotte and selected a new home in Cortana Meadows. We went through Lennar’s Eagle Mortgage company and were all set to close on our house 3/11/20. Within 48hrs of closing the appraisal came in $10,000 lower so, we are not closing on 3/11. No one from Eagle told us about the issue only our Realtor. Lennar states that not enough home sales were entered into the system and it caused the appraisal to come in low. So, they are adding in 2 additional sales from larger homes. Now, we are living in a hotel with 5 pets waiting for a second appraisal to see if the home price increases. Lennar has not displayed any customer focus or integrity through this process. They don’t stand behind their own mission statement or values. They only want $$$$. We are stuck with furniture, vehicles and new appliances being delivered right now. It’s a huge mess and no one from Lennar cares. Never again.

Our new home is beautiful and starting to feel like home now! Some minor issues so far, but they come out quick to help when you submit the warranty claims. Make sure you seal all your grout, granite, and call to extend your HVAC/Furnace warranty as soon as you take possession of your new home! Glad we followed the advice on our walk through and did those things. I removed one star for the sealing of grout and granite. Seems like that should be done initially by the builder. Wasn’t expecting to do anything on a turn key property, but Lennar reps said not doing so could void your warranty. Suggestions for future homes - our closets are huge and really need an outlet or two added. I also wish the home had more usb outlets too. Also, do away with the pedestal sink in the half bath.
