Before contacting any Solar Energy Company, understand that their services can vary widely, from installing solar panels to providing maintenance. Ask about the type of solar energy systems they offer, as different systems may suit various needs and climates better. Comparing quotes is tricky since costs depend heavily on factors such as roof condition, electricity usage, and local regulations. Be sure to inquire about what's included in each quote—some providers might charge extra for upfront installation or system monitoring.
When you want to save on your electricity bill and reduce your carbon footprint, you may find yourself looking for professionals who can install or maintain solar energy systems in your home. Solar Energy Companies are at the forefront of helping homeowners transition to renewable energy sources. These companies offer a range of services including system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, along with electrical work related to solar panels.
Solar Energy Companies provide the full spectrum of services needed for residential solar panel installations. They assess your home’s suitability for solar energy, design a suitable system, and handle all the necessary permits. During installation, their electricians and contractors ensure that your new system is safely integrated into your existing electrical infrastructure. Roofing Contractors from these companies may also be involved to install panels on or in your roof. Post-installation, they provide maintenance services to keep your system running optimally. If issues arise with your solar panel system, they handle repairs and replacements.
Often, the main challenge homeowners face is that a poorly installed or maintained system can lead to suboptimal performance, energy savings, and even safety hazards. For example, incorrect wiring in an electrician’s work could result in power outages or electrical fires. Roof damage due to poor installation might compromise the integrity of your solar panels, reducing their efficiency over time.
To choose the right Solar Energy Company for your home, start by determining how much energy you need to save and what incentives are available in your state. Check if there are any local code requirements that must be met. Look up providers who have a solid reputation and read reviews from previous customers. When contacting potential providers, ask about their qualifications, certifications, and insurance coverage. Find out which services they offer, including installation, maintenance, and repairs.
Compare the scope of services offered by different companies. Not all Solar Energy Companies provide the same range of services, so ensure that your chosen provider covers everything you need from inspection to system monitoring. You should also inquire about their response times for service calls and any warranties they offer on their work.

Read moreA garbage company of liars. Shady sales tactics, poor communication, and customer service that moves on from you as soon as they have your money. You'll get a $9,000 reimbursement from Duke Energy! Find out that's actually the maximum payout based on the capacity you end up with (we got about 75% that). You can apply the reimbursement to cover your monthly payments so that you have 0 monthly to worry about for a couple years! No you can't, their loan company does not do this. We'll have you up and running in April! System was broken from install in April until they finally got it fixed in October. You can't get the reimbursement from Duke until the system is functional so this also delayed my (less than promised) reimbursement. These should cover 100% of your electric bill! Not even close.
I’ve had a great experience with Top Tier Solar. The team is always friendly, caring, and genuinely willing to help with any questions or concerns I’ve had. It’s rare to find a company where the employees go out of their way to make sure you feel supported and informed every step of the way. Whether it's a quick question or something more complex, they’ve always responded with patience and professionalism. It’s clear that customer service is a top priority here, and that really sets them apart. Highly recommend working with Too Tier Solar, if you value great service and a team that truly cares.
Edited Review - All systems up and running, got a new project guy and they agreeded to refund any payments I make before the system was up and running, I did end up making 2 payments and it took awhile for the refund check to come in the mail but they did reimburse me so all good. Only issue I had was the system has an app to monitor it all and you have to have top teir setup your account to use it and authorize you to change to settings of the battery. Also I have noticed that the number of panels I have don't seem to generate as much kWs as I was told so might need to add more panels to off set power and the TAX break you get for having the panels installed isnt exactly how I was sold on. The IRS does give you a good amount, which with state and federal equaled close to 30gs but they only give you a little bit of it and the rest gets rolled over to the next tax year until it's paid out, Soo not great. ORIGINAL Review: They came to my neighborhood to go door knocking, and I've been thinking about it for a while now so I went ahead and did it. The salesman and I agree on how the system,With a Battery back up, would be hooked up so the battery would power my house the way I wanted it to, and when they came out to install the system they had No idea about any of that so I had to explain it twice before they understood. Was told the system would be up and running well before the first payment for the system would be Due and since there was 3 months between them installing the panels and the payment due date I was good with it BUT there's less than a week till it due and the system is still not running PLUS my "Project Manager" Ryans phone Number is NO LONGER IN SERVICE!!! What the Hell. I Don't recommend using Top Tier at all in fact I suggest they change their name. I know at least 3 "Uncle Bubbas" who could have had the system installed and running in a week and top tier has had 4+ months
I told a salesman no I’m not interested a couple times and he continued with his sales speech. I told him to leave the property. As he was leaving he starting running his mouth. We had a verbal exchange and of course he gets out his phone. He then told me to get my wife to perform a sexual act. He mentioned that twice. He tried to bait people and then will video the encounter and show only one side.
We had Jonathan 1st approach us and was so kind and informative and then we so enjoyed meeting Julie. She also was so kind and not pushy and really wanted us to have all the information possible. She was very patient and to walk in our hike with 4 kids she was so welcoming and patient. I really wish we could have moved forward but financially it’s just not a great time for us. Best of luck Solar Tier and you guys are so blessed to have such incredible people sharing your product like Julie and Jonathan.
TL:DR ... Pressure based sales and misrepresentation of tax rebate Got a knock on the door asking if I was interested in solar power. Said I was interested and made an appointment specifically, "to learn more." Person shows up and I immediately recognize it's a sales call. On-site salesperson was fine, but when I said I wasn't willing to sign any paperwork on the spot, he then called his "manager". The manager, Drew, was worse than a 1980s used car salesman. Non-stop pressure. Non-stop guilt. Talked about wasting his time. Wasting his salesman's time. If there's any reason not to do business with this company, it's pressure sales from people like Drew. It's an embarrassment. Additionally, they mislead about the tax credit. It is not a check in your hand. It lowers your taxes but only if you're paying that much in tax. Otherwise it carries over to the next tax year. It is a non-refundable tax credit. They make it seem like in 6 weeks you'll have a check from the government for 30% of the price. This is 100% NOT accurate. You'll get the money eventually depending on your tax status, but definitely not a check in your mailbox in a month or two.
