Hobgood Mechanical has been great to work with and we appreciate their services so much. Good to have HVAC folks who show up, are quick and reasonable.

The technicians was early to perform the work. The technicians explained everything that they were doing to repair the system. They repaired the system quickly. The technicians were friendly and nice. It is nice to have someone nice and friendly to do a job. I called the office to ask about payment methods and the lady that answered was really nice and mannerable. She said yes sir at least 5 times. You can trust the people that work for this company.

For those who have a Trane HVAC system, this organization is simply the best in southern Granville County. Very responsive to customer needs, excellent communication, reasonable pricing, and honest. Would not hesitate to recommend them for servicing a Trane system. Our system experienced unplanned downtime as result of tropical storm system that came through on weekend of Sept 22, 2023. They could have attempted to cite repair needs in an unethical way to increase the cost , but they did not. Shows they have integrity, which is a rarity these days in the business world.

Hobgood Mechanical will deliver a better product, at a better price, and with better customer service before AND after the sale than any HVAC I've experienced in 2 decades of homeownership.

We had a mystery electrical problem that fried our upstairs 2 year old system and it's outside A/C unit. Hobgood really listened to what was important to us:
1. isolate equipment from future surges to reduce risk and feel safe
2. reduce unnecessary rework
3. a good SEER rating at a good price

They accomplish all 3 and protected our downstairs system while we determined the source. AND they did all this, including followups, during the worst weeks of summer heat.

We tried 4 other companies including another Daikin dealer. Hobgood Mechanical was the best customer experience by far.

Hobgood Mechanical manages the HVAC system in our office building. They are great to work with. Typically we see the same technician which is great since he knows our building and is able to quickly identify and diagnose any problems we have. They are proactive about scheduling our maintenance twice a year so I don't have to remember to make that call. We are very pleased and would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work.

This guy is amazing! I used them last winter. I had problems with both the upstairs and downstairs heat pumps. The upstairs was stuck running on heat. The downstairs blower wouldn't shut off if the outside was too cold. This man shows up on time without even knowing the problems. He diagnosed both issues and fixed them on the spot. He starts to write my repair bill and I braced myself....then wow....Very affordable and reasonable! Hobgood, you have a permanent customer in Creedmoor!

We used Hobgood for the first time. Our effort included replacing a gas pack hvac unit and repairing the lines under the house. Jacob Barrads and his crew did an outstanding job. They were thorough, explained everything and didn't leave until the job was done! I was even impressed they showed up on time on the first visit - not something we have experienced often with service providers in the area. Destiny from their office is very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Hobgood - ask for Jared and his crew to do the work - highly professional and will even tolerate your pets :)

If you're unsure which business to call for your HVAC... call this one! My HVAC started pushing out "not very cold air" and then freezing over. My unit is 8 years old and this is the first real problem. I called early afternoon and had an appointment the same day. Service guy was on time, fast, and super professional. Most importantly, I think he was honest and the business is trustworthy! Luckily, my issue wasn't that serious (small leak near the coil connectors, a pound of refrigerant, and a little clog) but he could have told me nearly anything and I would have paid for it. Instead they kept it real, fixed me up, and suggested I get on a service plan for 2 check ups a year (I needed to do that anyway) and they can keep an eye on the little leak. He even offered to check if the coil is under warranty and get back to me with a quote so I know what to expect when it does finally need fixed. You already know who I'll be calling for that work when it's time!

UPDATE: The business owner called my husband with a sincere apology and sent us a gift card. The employee who never sent the quote now no longer works for them and apparently it wasn’t his first time not following up with customers. It’s nice to know that people actually care about the reputation the employees they have put out especially in a small town as well as their previous customers. As much as I appreciate the company’s gesture, we have already found someone else to do the work. Will contact them in the future for more work if needed.

Had one great experience in the middle of a winter snow and my head didn’t work. Decided to give them another try a few weeks ago. Long story short, we called about a quote. They had a guy come out, which I’m not really sure why since he didn’t even go upstairs and look at the area of where we needed to have a mini split installed. It was before a holiday weekend and he stated he would try his best to get me a quote by the end of the day, but with it being the Friday before a holiday weekend he said it might be Tuesday before we got it. Understandable, right? Needless to say, here I am almost THREE weeks later and still no quote. We have called the office and asked about it. The guy that came out even called over a week ago and was asking questions about the location of the unit (which he would have known if he looked at it) and said he would have me a quote that day after talking to his boss. I’m pretty disappointed in this company after the previous experience and they do the work at my husbands job. Maybe they will find someone else to do their AC work.

Hobgood Mechanical came out to install a new split heat pump system for me. I really appreciate being able to talk by phone and communicate by email for any questions that I had. The guys were very courteous, pleasant and professional. My system was installed during the time when it was not really cold or really hot so I will expect to find out how efficient the system will be going forward. I plan to be in touch with Hobgood in the future. :)

We’ve used Hobgood Mechanical on several occasions and we are always blown away by their service. We had a couple of units replaced on our home and the results were fantastic. We also called on Hobgood for small repairs on a rental home and the same care, communication and attention to detail were shown and is a true testament of their business ethics. Absolutely a wonderful company to do business with!

This is the third time that I've used Hobgood. They first installed a new Trane unit at one of our rental properties- I met with five different companies and got quotes from them all. Hobgood wasn't the cheapest but they also weren't the most expensive. They were fair and I was impressed with their knowledgeable staff and responsiveness from Destiny. They did a great job on the installation. I later used them to install a whole home humidifier on my personal home and they did a great job and even checked out my existing unit to let me know if any maintenance was required- they didn't try to upsell me. They most recently helped me with a second rental providing several options for me to choose from and did another great job. I've been impressed that the owner has stopped by each job to personally inspect the installation process. I use Hobgood exclusively.

We woke up to 49° in our house. First we called our home warranty company and also did an online service request about 730 am. Christmas eve morning. No response AT ALL. We called Hobgood that afternoon and talked to a real person. She said they were completely booked and were scheduling for Monday. By noon Monday they were here and the problem was fixed.
Great people, great service. Just call them first and your life will be better!

I needed to have my whole downstairs HVAC system replaced last year.

I shopped around, and Hobgood Mechanical gave me the best price and the best warranty. They were able to come right away and replace everything quickly.

This year, the fan suddenly started making a lot of noise on the AC for the upstairs HVAC system.

I thought I was going to have to replace that HVAC system as well, but the fan just needed to be adjusted.

Outstanding customer support. Adam and his team installed a mini split and a furnace on my townhouse and I can't be happier. This team continues to perform and their prices are very fair. Will continue to use Hobgood and would recommend to anyone looking for HVAC work!

And then it happened.... the house was unusually hot on a hot day... my 40 year old system had finally fizzled out. But this was no ordinary AC replacement... I was looking at a full system replacement. I called all the big names in the area and took one reference for Hobgood. Everyone else sent a salesperson that had to 'call to confirm' anything that wasn't part of a normal installation. Hobgood were the first on site, fastest to quote, and the price stayed exactly as they said.

I did have one of the companies come close.... after I told them how far over their quote was... they knocked over 20% off and were still too high... I'm not saying I'm just saying... I'm glad to have supported this high quality small town business. Those other names have radio ads and bilboards... Hobgood has good quality people and my business for years to come.

Love, love, love this company! Everyone is so friendly and professional, and you can tell they know what they’re talking about. We had Hobgood replace our HVAC system in May of 2020, but the thermostat recently went out. Brandon came and replaced it and thoroughly checked the temperature of our vents to ensure that everything was working smoothly! Can’t recommend this business enough!

I've used Hobgood a few times now, the first time was when my A/C went out in may of 2018. They were able to get out quickly to replace the whole system. They said they would get it done the day they promised and they were there in force with a solid crew, and by that evening I was sitting cool. Their prices for a 3.5 ton unit plus the labor was much better than other places around here. The second time I used them was when my furnace went out, the owner came out the next day and had everything working, again charging a very fair price and gave me his number in case anything came up. This is one of those family businesses that goes above and beyond.

I used Hobgood Mechanical for my home (new construction), and I had them install a heat pump and a mini split system. The construction process was amazing. They came on schedule, work clean, and worked fast. All of the ductwork was installed in a very clean and orderly fashion, and everything was sealed up very tight. After moving in we had issues with our mini split working properly, and Hobgood was very receptive to the issues, and always there and responsive to any service call. In the end they were able to get us a perfectly working system, and I cannot say enough good things about them. I strongly recommend them for new construction, retrofitting, and any service. They are wonderfully responsive, prompt, and truly care about the customer and their finished product!

Hobgood Mechanical was excellent to work with my AC problem. A 3 year old mini-split system (not installed or sold by Hobgood) had begun to leak refrigerant.

The customer service setting up the appointment was great with a quick response to the call. The technician was careful to explain the problem and possible causes. Attempts were made to identify the source of the leak and the technician agreed with my decision to replace the system as repairs would not be economical.

A subsequent visit to complete installation of a new system was easy to set up and the work was completed successfully. The charges for all visits were very fair and I highly recommend this company for heating and air conditioning sales and service.

Great experience with Hobgood! The technician showed up on time, and finished my A/C service very quickly! Since the service call, my A/C has been cooling and dehumidifying with no trouble at all. Quick, accurate, and courteous service deserves repeat business!

Edit to add - we had to have a technician out again, and Brandon was great. Thankfully we only had a blown capacitor, and he had it replaced in no time, flat. He also gave us an honest assessment of our AC unit and set very realistic expectations for us. Hobgood is doing their damndest to retain us as customers throug punctual, high-quality service; and honestly, they've got us!
