The team at For Garden's Sake far exceeded our expectations and the outcome of our backyard landscape project is just beautiful! We contacted several landscape contractors to give us ideas and quotes for a paver patio overlay with extension and full landscaping with native plants of our side courtyard.

Once we decided to pay for a professional plan, Billy Balton came to our home to review, survey, measure, listen to our "wants," and then developed a plan that encompassed the right plants for our space and fulfilled everything on our wish list. Our largest concern was about grading and making sure the paver patio overlay would work functionally well and be aesthetically pleasing. Billy met with us several times during the process and adjusted areas where we had questions. He was so easy to work with and the plan came together perfectly!! Billy and the team are also experienced at working with the needs and requirements of HOAs and held our hand through the process of approval.

The home office team kept in contact with us through the holidays while we waited for our date to come up on the schedule (February 2024). The mostly 3-man crew started every day on time, cleaned up at the end of each day, never showed any dismay when we asked questions or peeked out the windows to watch - they were so professional and an absolute delight to work with! We watched the dream come together before our eyes. And when we questioned the size of stone steps being put in the yard, they worked with us to make sure we were satisfied with everything they were doing. Each day a crew manager came by to discuss the project and kept us in the loop for what was coming next.

And now, 5-6 weeks after completion, all of the plants they planted are thriving. The paver patio, while currently covered in pine pollen dust, is amazingly beautiful and just what we wanted. We could not be happier with the outcome or the team at For Garden's Sake.

Friendly staff. Very car land coverage. If you aren't into plants there is something for you to do while those who are, are shopping. There is a shady section and a sunny section. Copious amount of trees, ranging from fruit to shade. The koi pond was my favorite, then the goats.

This is such a stunning place. The aesthetic is everything. You instantly feel at peace entering the grounds. I'm mainly a houseplant kind of gal and I fell in love when I entered their indoor houseplant area. I saw so many unique plants that I rarely ever see in person, just online. I would highly recommend. The staff was lovely and there are ducks, chickens, and goats, out front. I visited on my birthday and honestly it was the highlight of my day. I can't wait to go back.

Great garden center and great place to take the kids and just chill. They have some goats, chickens, ducks, fish, and turtles to look at and a lake and small play set. There is zero pressure to walk around and shop. They even have a little free library for books!

Hired For Garden’s Sake for a landscape design and installation project. Wow! What a transformation! Such a positive experience from the beginning of the project to the end. We were kept well informed throughout the process from our landscape designer, the project coordinator, and our project managers. Our crew leader and his crew were very professional and hardworking. They paid extra attention to all the details, plant placement, right down to cleanup with power washing included!

Hands down the BEST garden center I have been to. It's so much better to support smaller businesses like this place than big brand name stores. The staff is incredibly helpful with answering questions and extremely knowledgeable, not forgetting to mention how kind they have always been to me and my family. They've taught me many things about each of the plants I've gotten there. I can't say enough good things about them. :)

The customer service is amazing. I brought my pitbul boxer mix with me today to buy a plant. All of the employees kept coming up to play with her and they all made us feel so welcomed! Because of their amazing customer service and attention to my playful dog, I will forever be a customer!

The FGS team was remarkable from start to finish. Ben was a pleasure to work with as we talked through different project options. Billy designed a beautiful new front and backyard landscaping project for me. Ryan and the rest of the install team did an excellent job in making the vision come to life. Norberto also helped tremendously with all of my questions. My neighbors saw the work FGS did and had their project installed today (which also looks fantastic!). Cannot recommend them enough!

This review is mostly about their landscape maintenance and irrigation services. The landscape design team did a really good job for us replacing a tree and incorporating it into a new design in the front yard. That's the only reason they get even 3 stars.

For landscape maintenance, they routinely skipped our backyard despite us reaching out to our contact multiple times. As you can see from the photos after their visits, they left behind weeds, and even little saplings. When the team came to do our yard, they were typically there for less than 15 minutes, and the results showed that.

For the irrigation work, they used a partner, but they gave us a quote of over $14k to replace our old irrigation system with 4 lines of detail about what would be covered for that money. When we asked for more detail they said they don't provide details in writing, just over a call. $14k is way too much to spend without really knowing what you would be getting at the end. Especially because when they did the landscape design we got a drawing of where things would go and a list of all the plants to be used, so that we could be sure that what we were paying for, was what we wanted.

We hired FGS to transform our patio/courtyard to all hardscape project along with a walkway to our front porch. We were so impressed from the beginning on how they stepped us through the process of what we regarded as a large project. They all listened to us along with giving us expert advice and optional enhancements which we did do. As a result, our project turned out beautiful. We also wanted to replace an old trellis and an independent very talented woodworker was recommended to us.

First time visiting as I’ve recently begun my collection of indoor plants. The employees were friendly as far as the ones I spoke with, and Naomi (hope I spelled it right) was the person who guided through the process and offer some recommendations. Very helpful and knowledgeable. She also allowed me to capture some photos of the beautiful plants that I could add to my review. The animals were cool to see as well. Definitely plan to visit again for my gardening needs!

Beautiful spot, they have everything! I love getting my house plants from here and walking around to see all they have to offer. Fall decor is beautiful and they even have little activities for the kids with trick or treat stations and I believe I saw a scavenger hunt.

Such a beautiful nursery! It’s a great place for families — there are cute animals, swings, and slides, and the decorations are perfect for photos.

The staff are super nice! Today on Halloween, Ms. Tressa gave my daughter some hay to feed the little goats and the donkey, and she even gave us a fresh egg at the end! We’ll treasure it forever! 🐐🥚🎃

The crew was hardworking, attentive to detail, and a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time and efficiently completed the landscaping project. I highly recommend Community Based Landscapers and will call them again for my next project.

Will and his team had started a job for us and we ran into problems. He was kind enough to readjust his time and schedule to help us to re think and solve the yard problem. We would highly recommend CBL to anyone looking for quality work, fair prices, a company that works work with you to achieve your goals, and great guys!

CBL has done my mowing for 2 years (and counting!) and have been wonderful to work with. They do an excellent job, leaving the property looking great, stay on top of scheduling. They and have always responded with flexibility to accommodate my family's plans for outdoor events if those affect when we need their help. Highly recommend!

DO NOT USE this guy. He clearly has serious mental problems. I complained about ONE thing that we had previously had a discussion about and he BLEW UP. He called me a liar and said I must be "on medication". *The customer is always right* means nothing to this guy. Neither does being even remotely on time. Oh yeah, he also called me a "pu$$y in a wheelchair".
