Travis and his crew came out to help our neighborhood tackle some trees that were dead or struggling with insects. They were able to take down what we needed and helped us treat and preserve the rest. We had one tree in a tricky spot between houses and fences, and they managed to get it down safely. They gave us several great options and price points and really seemed to understand our priority of saving everything we could. Our HOA can be a hassle for vendors to deal with (extra paperwork) but Travis was great about working with them and got things taken care of quickly. I wouldn’t think twice about using them again, or recommending to a friend.

I was impressed with Larry, the arborist, and his knowledge. He came out to give me a quote. I was thrilled that a week later or so the appointment was made. Travis, who did the work was eager to please and examined the crepe myrtle that needed to be treated and agreed to trim both crepe myrtles away from the house. These arborists and the Company N.C. Trees and More were timely and followed through. I will use them again, I highly recommend them!

NC Trees and More were a fantastic crew to work with. It makes all the difference when the people carrying out the work actually love what they do and it's evident that they have an absolute blast doing what they do and care about doing a great job. Larry answered all of our questions ad nauseum and Travis really takes care of his crew. Watching them made me want to start climbing huge trees and taking arborist classes. They really know their shit.

I have an emotional response to cutting down trees and Larry was very cognizant of weighing risk vs live and let live when assessing our property and took into account our long term goals when making suggestions and assessments. I had my reservations on whether we were doing the right thing many times over, but the work they did really breathed new life into the property and they have a great feel for how cuttings and prunings will influence the long term vision.

I first contacted NC Trees & More after extensive research on arborists and their respective qualifications and you get a level of personal attention that you won't get from bigger companies without sacrificing quality of work and price.

It's a big decision to manage trees and can be a large expense, so it was really important to me to get it right and these guys are the guys for the job. The crew leader was friendly and thoroughly explained the procedure. I was amazed and impressed with how quickly the tree was removed and that there was no damage to the yard from falling branches.

Larry was very knowledgeable and responsive (even came out on a snow day to provide an estimate), provided a price competitive quote, and was timely with the service to remove a large tree. Took care to blow any debris and ensure cleanup of the work area when complete. Communication was excellent.

I found Larry, the ops and sales lead, to be very responsive, professional, and knowledgeable and committed to customer service. I wasn’t as pleased with the work. I would call it sloppy. I had 6 trees pruned, one pine removed and chemicals applied to treat disease. The crew left several small branches/“suckers” uncut on one of the oaks. On two of the other smaller trees they left quite a few pruned branches in the trees. Larry can back and cleaned one up but another also had several dead branches that I had to remove. I was also surprised by how high they cut the canopies on the oaks. I am not an arborist so I have to trust they did what was necessary to treat the disease. It definitely changed substantially the shape of the trees. Different than what I was expecting and the look is taking some getting used to.

Had a double spar sweet gum that was just about 100% dead hanging right over my house. A difficult spot and I was worried about my deck in the line of fire. But they arrived right on time and got that sucker out without a scrape on the house or deck. They were pretty quick about it too. Would definitely use these guys again. Thanks guys!

Travis really knows his trees. He consulted on which trees were risky to leave—he is happy to go into details of how different types of trees break and fall and help you understand the health of a given tree. The NC Trees and More team removed about six trees for us, with an exciting crane. The stump grinding and cleanup were great too.

Great communication via text, email and in person once here to do the work. Arrived as scheduled. Efficiently work. Took down a tree and trimmed bushes and let no evidence of the work (except a stump lol). I would hire them again!

Tropical storm Chantal damaged many of our trees. We found NC Trees and More from a Google search and were blessed to have this hardworking, professional group expertly handle many large trees. They worked tirelessly, and they proactively identified trees at risk for hitting our home in another storm. I really appreciated that, as we were lucky to avoid any house damage in a very bad storm. We may not be as lucky the next time. I cannot say enough of the work ethic and courtesy of Travis, Joe, Diego, and Larry. We will definitely contact them again in the future!

I was very impressed with Larry from NC Trees and More! He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable from the moment we started communicating about coming to our house to do an assessment. He was very pleasant to work with and showed a wealth of knowledge about the trees in our backyard. He was patient, empathetic and truly went above and beyond for us. A few of our friends have also used NC Trees and More and had similar experience with them. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing tree care in the future!

We needed several large pine trees removed from our backyard, stumps ground and some lower branches on a few cryptomeria trees along the back of the property trimmed to raised the canopy above 6 feet.
I interviewed 3 tree removal companies to discuss/show them what we wanted done and obtain quotes. All three said it was a one day job. Two of the three had cranes. We chose NC Trees based on several factors (Note: they were not the cheapest). They were delayed on starting on the planned Tuesday due to weather (it happens) but said they would “setup” and be ready to get started early Wednesday. The only ‘setup’ was to park a truck on the street and leave. They started work on Wednesday when the crane arrived. I walked through the yard with Travis beforehand to ensure he knew which trees to cut and discuss the branch trimming. He immediately said there was no extra trimming in the contract and they wouldn’t touch those (he was a bit of a smart a$$ about it). I later checked my contract and he was correct; it had been omitted from the contract and I didn’t catch it. I spoke to Larry about it to get it added and acknowledged it was my fault too. Instead of trying to be accommodating he denied we’d discussed it and said he “talks to several clients a day and takes notes”. I reminded him that I’d only spoken to three companies over a week and also took notes. It was an oversight, I apologized that I’d missed it in the contract and asked if they would work in the branch trimming since it wasn’t that much and they were there. He said they had to ‘maintain their schedule’ and I’d have to get another estimate and reschedule them to come back for the branch trimming. Important to note that the crew was there and getting started.
They did get all of the trees cut down on Wednesday but didn’t come close to finishing in “one day.” I was concerned that instead of cutting the trees in sections and lifting the sections, they cut and lifted the entire 100 ft trees over the house. Luckily none were dropped however they laid the trees in the street to remove branches and cut them into sections. This not only left messes in the street but no traffic could get through. They left massive tree trunks on both sides of the street end of day, no stumps ground and no cleanup done. It took until Friday for them to finish the job and clean up the street, yard and remove all debris and equipment. Travis was again snarky when my husband politely spoke to him about cleanup of the ongoing mess in the yard and street.
Overall I felt it was bad service. Yes they got the trees cut down and stumps ground up. However in the multiple days they were there they inconvenienced my neighbors, blocked traffic and left daily messes in the street. They couldn’t give me an hour (I would’ve paid for) to trim a few low branches even though they had some kind of equipment and crew there multiple days. NC Trees and More has some serious communication, attitude and work ethic issues to work on. We will NOT be calling them back to finish the job but we’re stuck with the low branches in the back yard until we do it ourselves.

The team arrived as promised and promptly began the work. The owner was on site and did a walk through with me before starting the project and one when finished.
My street and driveway are narrow but they were able to skillfully maneuver the equipment. The trees were all trimmed or removed and all debris was cleaned up. They also put some of the wood chips in a large bin for my garden. NC Trees was excellent to work with from start to finish.
